Quiet, basic, secure parking for our 3-meter van. Good air con and Telcel. The sheets were so thin you could practically see through them, but they were clean. Wouldn’t honeymoon here but it works for recovering from the approximately one million topes today and getting across the Guatemalan border early tomorrow morning.

I wouldn’t call it great but it has decent parking and okay rooms. Unfortunately, it is not pet friendly so we went to the Hotel Rio instead.

A small side track next to a gate, about 30m in, there is a grassy spot on the side of another gate, nicely protected from the view, very quiet.
No cell coverage.

There are many spots a few meters further south with privacy and the sound of the Pacific.

There is a self service landromat inside the mall between the cash registers and ATMs. Follow the roundabout to the upper parking lot by the gas station and then the closes entrance is the middle entrance to the mall, then slightly to the left.

Great place to park for a night, not too far from the city. People did give us funny looks, but hey, as long as police don't kick us out, it's all chill. Clean up after yourselves, if we all want to keep the right to park overnight!

As other said, wifi is available inside the facilities, either from the library or the arena. Clean restrooms too. The library itself is a quiet and relaxing spot to surf on the internet or read a book before closing.

English: The best (mobile home) repairshop in the greater Bremen area!
Super nice and absolutely competent owner (Christian Mühlner). We regularly had our car serviced there & most recently had our camper prepared for our long trip (from South America to Alaska). Everything always perfect. He is a mobile home owner himself & knows what is important. In addition, very fair prices & also says honestly if something is not necessary! He even has lifts for mobile homes. Absolute recommendation!

Supernetter und vor Allem kompetenter Besitzer (Christian Mühlner). Haben dort regelmäßig unseren PKW warten lassen & zuletzt unseren Camper für unsere große Reise (von Südamerika bis Alaska) vorbereiten lassen. Alles tiptop. Er ist selbst Wohnmobil-Besitzer & weiß worauf es ankommt. Außerdem sehr faire Preise & sagt auch ehrlich, wenn etwas nicht notwendig ist! Er hat sogar Hebebühnen für Wohnmobile. Absolute Empfehlung!

Very good spot to stay in the city center. Very very close to 5th avenue and in walkable distance from most important places.
They charge 15 mxn per hour still.
Good space even for big rigs.
Safe and after some conversations and “regalos” the guard allowed us to connect to the tap to get water from the office’s bathrooms.
It’s very noisy until 3a.m. because there’s a lot of night clubs and bars nearby.

There are "no parking without permission of owner" signs posted along one side of the lot which scared me off. There's a small quiet lot directly behind the gas station across the street; I stayed there instead and slept great.

the campsite is near a waterfall and they let us use the shower and the toilet of the room (no hot water from the showers , but they bring you hot water in a pot if you want) their is also a restaurant and a bar with very nice veiw

Much better than expected. Like others have said, we arrived in high season on a Sunday, directed to the office but another camper told us the office was closed so we signed in with security and will go to the office tomorrow. Plenty of space, big sites with a concert stand. Water and electric at most sites. Easy walk to the beach and local bars / restaurants. Ablutions are fine, clean and include a bath. The kite surfing beach is very popular and quite magnificent. Recommend this place.

Very nice and peaceful place.
Excellent campsite with braai places under shady trees. Just pick your favourite spot.
Everything is well maintained and tidy.
A lot of love has obviously been put into this place.

Restaurant is closed for the time being. Softdrinks and beer available at the bar which has a beautiful deck facing the lake,

Access road is also big rig friendly.

Price is now 100pppn. Lovely place for a stay. Enjoy!

Very basic but super nice spot. Giovanni (the son?) cares about turtles and speaks fluent English.
We had a super yummy huge fish for 15$ there, enough for 2. They should renew the toilets but it costs a lot they said. very friendly family and a lot of locals there. Can recommend definitely.

We where searching for a place to rest for a few days after several days of long drivings. This is the perfect place. Even on a sunday summer day was quiet and calm. Not expensive. Paid 400 per person plus 500 for out kombi. Owners kind and helpfull. Completely recomended.

This place is just fantastic. The local surfers build this camp in 2022 with help from some NGOs. They have 4 open bungalows for tents or hamocks, space for 2 or 3 campers right next to the beach. The facilitys are european standard (For us probably the best since europe). A nice bar/restaurant with cold drinks and food are also on the site. Electricity 24/7 from a view solarpanels. All the guys are verry nice.

Camp in the Car 5 USD

As you continue west on 42 there are additional, excellent dispersed sites along the creek. This one is very nice. Flat, more sun than the others. Very peaceful. No cell service.

We didn’t sleep here, had lunch here and packed our bags for a hike here. Beautiful spot at the river, nice for a (cold;) dip in the water. We got easily through the small river with our Mercedes Vito van. You can stay before the small river crossing, but when you cross there is a small leveled area with grass and shade from a tree (and an old firepit, bit won’t make fires in this dry area). Only it’s horsefly season now and there are many under the tree.. no connection with Movistar.

DON’T STAY HERE! We got ripped off at this place, the night after we reviewed.

Price is now $18. On a Sunday morning there was a bit of a wait. They are okay with two people sharing a shower and did not mention a time limit. The stalls include a toilet, sink, and towels!

We asked in town where we could camp and they sent us here. It’s called La Higuera. Its a park by the Higuera river with some benches and lots of flats spots to camp. Nice and quiet spot, we brought our water but you could filter from the river. It was free

Beautiful beach camping! I highly recommend this place if you don’t mind the sound of dune buggies running all night (until about 11:00pm). Beautiful moonlight/sunrise views. If you are not a dune buggy enthusiasts I do not recommend this place.

Beautiful and very large sandy beach. Really nice place. As previous visitors reported, there are a lot of children, but there we're nice and left when it was dark. The problem in our case was that there were a few young adult men asking for money in a very demanding way, apparently drunk. They didn't left when it got dark and hung around just 1m of our tent and bikes until pretty late. They told us before that they will eat our food while we are swimming. Finally they left and there was no theft, but still we regretted coming here. Couldn't really enjoy the otherwise incredible beautiful beach.
