Very nice people who welcomed us even late at night(22u).
Price was 500pesos per person because we didn’t need the showers but there was a private toilet we could use which was nice and clean.

We also had some great milanesa in their small hosteria and they have a small shop with the basics.

Perfect stop for one night.

Paid 400 for the room. They don't give you a key to your room. Instead they ask you to lock the door when you go out and then ask them to let you in when you get back. They also kept my drivers license overnight. Neither a huge deal, but annoying. Bed had just a thin comforter over the mattress and the shower was warm but only a single stream of water came out of the shower head. The did have AC but was buggy with mosquitos. The place is fine if you can't find anything else but really should be half the price.

Nice place to boondock for a few nights... Easy access to amenities. Quiet and friendly. Road coming in off of the highway is rough... Gets better, just go slow. Recommend.
Internet connection is slow...

Great wild camping spot, very convenient before or after Vientiane.

While on the road to Wat Phabatdansung, at a 90 degrees crossing, take the little dirt path in front of you. Might seems you won’t make it but after the first narrow curve it’s OK. Big rids will scratch their doors. But it was ok with a few bush knife cuttings :-)

2 locals passed by before sunset and waved at us. Nobody at night.

To get here you need to go to this crossing (18.1166648, 102.4667975) then go to the North road until this crossing (18.1215542, 102.4596427) then turn left until you reach the point.

The restaurant nearby is called « restaurant with elephants » but it seems they are « domestic » so you should not seem them in front of your tent. We saw none.

Great local restaurant and very cheap.

Noodle soup 18.000 Kip
Fried rice with meat 20.000 Kip.

Twice less expensive as in Vientiane and twice as good.

Nice place to stay, the palmtrees give some shade. The beach is clean, but big rock plateau’s in the water make entry to the water less easy.

We didn’t see the big sign saying campers are not allowed, also there were some other local RV’s on the beach. Maybe the sign has been removed.

Nice place to stay for the night. The rooms are clean and spacious- we could easily fit our two bicycles in it.
They have a safe parking area if you’re travelling with the car / motorbike.
Very friendly staff. We paid 30 000 UGX per night. No hot shower (water was also not ice cold).

Good coffee. The breakfast was expensive (25000) and for that it was quite small. The waiter was very unfriendly and not welcoming at all.

Great local restaurant with decent prices and delicious food. We had 2 juices, chicken stew with rice and beans with rice and chicken and paid 30 000 UGX in total.
They also have a guesthouse (did not stayed here).
It was one of the best local restaurants we visited.
Very friendly and attentive staff! Absolutely recommended!

Lovely little gem in Francistown. Nice big rooms with AC, hot shower, clean, secure gated parking and helpful staff. There is a river flowing on the back side of the hotel offering nice views. Uchada, manageress was specially nice to us and offered lots of advice. Nice sumptuous Breakfast was included. We got it through booking.com but you can call Uchada directly or whatsapp on +26776640308.

Went in for a quick check on my break pads after an exhausting leg of our trip to the mountaneous Lesotho and Eswatini. Super friendly staff who have a good reputation amongst Landy owners in Johannesburg. Laura, who is normally your first point of contact, is a lovely person. I highly recommend them.

After a quick talk with the guard, we spent one night there. A lot of tsetse flies around, there are really annoying and painful. No shade at all. Night was very hot and humid. Still 29 °C / 80 % at 2am. Difficult for us to sleep, even after 4 months in West Africa.
