I made it here late last night and I'm the only one here. the road was plowed, but I
had to drive through some deep snow before parking. Quiet and nice. I'd stay here again.

Excellent place for Campervan with wifi, shower and great advices from Jose

We had no problems overnight, with the exception of some drunk guys that were trying to be as loud as possible when they drove off.

Nice level lot. Very quiet. Could fit a Very large RV here. Only stayed one night but nobody said anything to us.

Building looks pretty derelict which makes the space kinda spooky, but the stars are perfect and nobody bothered me. Abundant birds and bats too.

Cold water showers are WARM at 7am! I ran them for a while and they remained warm

Some road noise, but overall a pretty quiet night. 1 other van here but no other traffic all night as far as I know.

Perfect pull-outs on well maintained roads. We came through in a sedan with a low clearance bike rack without any issues. We went a couple hundred yards up the road from this marker for even more secluded spots. Beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful and clean (let's keep it that way!).

Be careful though, as the description for the further spots points out the road gets softer. Very spotty reception a couple hundred yards down.

stayed 14 days here. cost in season is $40 for 14 days or $180 for the season and you can move between LTVAs

Me and two women just got robbed in the morning and threatened with a knive by somebody who didn't work here. The scary thing was that there is literally nobody from the camp. We tried to call them, they didn't pick up. After an hour we just wanted to leave.

we stayed here for two nights to go to Amboseli. The camping is 500 Ksh per person, toilets and showers are clean and the people are super nice. They also made dinner and breakfast for us and I would highly recommend that. The dinner was 1000Ksh per person and the breakfast 250 Ksh. You need 40 minutes to the gate but we still stayed here because it was so nice. They also have power sockets and a little plattform with chairs to sit and relax.
There are also some Massai selling there jewellery around.

Great spot to get water. Spouts available at gas islands. Also can fill jugs inside store. Pilot down the street are on a well and do not have any water available to the public

Make sure to fill up your vehicle before getting to Semonkong, as there is often no petrol available in the local town

Spread out sites, mostly for tents. Our van fit in one of maybe 3 sites it could have fit in. Bathrooms with hot showers 24/7 but not totally clean. Security, small proveduria with pizza and beer onsite. Walk to the lake is a few hundred meters. Road to the campground is gravel and hilly. Very quiet place. Stayed two nights and enjoyed the town and cycled the Natl Park

As mentioned before, still a good option to spend the night at this location. WiFi is very good, bathrooms are clean and must important we felt very secured.

Got to the park about 10:30 this morning and pleasantly surprised to find there were 2 open spots. People can stay up to 14 days in a 28 day period. Also if another site comes open, the host will try and accommodate to move you into it. Some spots back right onto the Colarado River and some are across the road. We stayed across the road in full sun for our solar panels and Starlink internet. A small park and can’t beat the price at $5.00/night. Glad we lucked in! Sites are first come - first served. No reservations.
