emma10reed | Was going to camp at the site up the road more but wind gusts are up to 40 mph so we took cover in the rocky dunes. Is a nice spot but there is a slight view of power lines nearby. |

CerseiVannister | Vehicle: Ram Promaster 3500 Easy spot to pull off and stay overnight, or a few nights. The sand is hard packed near the entrance, especially to the right if coming from southbound. We didn't stay but there were signs of campfire rings and lots of vehicle tracks, so it seems popular. Wouldn't go too far into this area unless you have 4wd. You'll see the sand's color change when it gets loose. |

CerseiVannister | Vehicle: Ram Promaster 3500 Large open area with plenty of hard packed sand to drive on. 2wd is fine, for the most part, until you get to the fence line of the glamping campground next door. Kind of busy with lots of dune buggies and ATVs going by. |
La Fortuna | 23.14532, -109.50541 | |
CerseiVannister | Vehicle: Ram Promaster 3500 Very crowded on both sides of the road. If going northbound, the spots on the right are difficult to get to if you don't have 4wd. There's another camping area on the opposite side of the road that is hard packed but very busy. We kept driving. |

CerseiVannister | Vehicle: Ram Promaster 3500 Stayed one night here. Easy drive down to the campground but a little gnarly on the way back up in one area. But it's doable. It's crowded, especially if you get there late like we did. The sand inside the campground is loose in some (most) areas and we got stuck pulling into a spot. But after a couple swipes with the E Tool, we were free and finished backing in. Beautiful area with crystal blue water. If you follow the trail to the right along the beach for about 1k, you'll hit Dinosaur Egg beach which gives you a great snorkeling experience. Yes, the roosters are loud but they're not terrible. Would stay here again! |

sharpsusan | Surprisingly quiet on a Saturday night given it's proximity to downtown. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and attractions. Occasional cruise ship horns were kind of peaceful. We felt safe and secure. In the morning as we were walking our dog, a local woman ran up to us and warned us not to leave our surfboards locked to the roof. She said there are lots of break-ins and window smashes in town. We didn't feel any more at risk here than we do in any urban area. We've camped with our surfboards on the roof in La Paz, Cabo, Ensenada, San Diego, Todos Santos, Guerrero Negro , etc., and have never had a problem. However, we heeded the local advice and got out of there. |

tt_esports | We spend the night at the parking lot from the hotel - but please, ask at the reception if you‘re allowed to stay! That’s only fair. We women was so friendly if we asked to spend only the night in our van - „you‘re more then welcome“ very friendly stuff!! After we couldn’t find anything around the area which was safe or allowed..

advtravelbug.com | New manager since Sep ‘22. Let us camp inside the compound free of charge. Wouldn’t accept money and said we can eat in restaurant if we want to contribute. Had Thüringer sausage, very nice! We were able to take a shower and I had a swim in the pool (ask first). There will be a new manager in 6 months for now camping is back on 👍 |

MeatAroundTheWorld | We spent two nights here. Arrived on a Saturday evening. Felt very safe and welcomed by the neighbours. Met some other Overlanders who had been here a week in total. There are a few buses that also park here so it’s a busy little road but other than that, very close to the main plaza and a good base for nearby hikes to waterfalls etc. We do recommend checking out Cafe Jardín where the Jardín letters are for beautiful views over the Pueblo and amazing cafe food. |
