Forest Clearing of a side road to 535 with a Fire Pit, lots of downed trees to find firewood, and flat space for a van.

Road is pretty rough, definitely be careful of clearance on the last bit.

It's the first spot on the left after you turn onto FS 6012

Great spot in an expensive and safe neighbourhood. The security patrols all night long. We spent a week on this street, along with several other campers. The toilets are free and open 24/7. They are situated at the park entrance, just after the large paid parking.

This is the campground of hostal aya huma. I’ll add a picture of how to get there from the high way with a big rig and one of the gate. Just message Tuamari before you come: +593 98 688 1459

A very special place and unique chance to visit a local community. The town is fun to walk around and there is a beautiful park, playground, waterfall just a short walk away. The Temazcal ceremony is once a month and definitely worth a visit.

Camping is $5 a night.

Grovedale Fish Pond Day Use Area located 30km south of Grande Prairie on the Hwy 40.
Easy access from the hwy, well marked with a sign.
Flat parking lot, clean washrooms with tp.
It seems that you can camp overnight in the parking lot and I would say also on the grass in front of the pond. Flat ground, picnic table and fire ring, wood provided. A nice place, really!
Quiet, a little bit close to the hwy but no major issues regarding the noise.

This place belongs to the military Zone and shooting area. There are signs in Persian warning the shooting. Keep away. There is a laundry shop in the city Quchan and the owner will take you to his big garden in nice nature outside the city for free. Just go to him. We were in his garden for one night and enjoyed his family hospitality without being bordered by them or anyone or police.

Did not realize it was closed. Talked to border patrol agents who were parked there and they told me I could spend the night. The ranger that knocked at 6 said he didn’t care what Border Patrol said and to get out. No signs indicating you can’t stay here, but the general vibe of the San Diego area is hostile towards car camping.

This old wagon road comes to an apparent end a short walk from this site. No one came down this road while we were here. Very quiet...just the Meadowlarks and distant hwy traffic in the distance. Definitely not a good spot when the ground is wet--Its like gumbo soup. Able to drive a commuter car to this location. Verizon signal connects sporadically.

Great place! If you want the short version of the Panaramic Drive just stay at this place and add in the The Three Rondavels. Done. The restaurant is really nice with great staff, great food and a relaxed decor overlooking the valley. The pool gets iOverlander Best Infinity Pool nomination!

Nice and talkative English owner who washed our bikes after riding the salar. This included cleaning with water, blasting air through every little space there is and treating the whole bike with anti rust. We just helped to dissamble our bikes but used his workshop and tools for it.
100 Bs per bike seem a lot but in our opinion it is worth it.
He also organizes motorcycle and bicycle tours and gave us a lot of important information about riding in the salar.
Better call ahead because sometimes he is out guiding the tours.

First we went to the police point but they didn’t have any space for us and told us to come back in 2 hours. Finally, we came here and we spent 2 nights without problem. Very nice, safe and quiet at night ! Perfect to visit the city ! We recommend !

Central Aduana (Customs) for Nicaragua. This is where you may extend a vehicle Temporary Import Permit (TIP). The cost was $10 USD, which is payable at the BAC down the street. Aduana will give you a bill. Go to the BAC and get a ticket for Caja Sevices. BAC will process your payment and give you a receipt. Then, return to the Aduana office. Present them with the BAC receipt, vehicle title, registration, existing TIP, and your passport. They will issue you a receipt that will serve as your TIP until the actual document is issued in 48 hours. Return at the stated time and receive your new TIP.

The owners were very nice. Basic but comfortable. My bike was very secure in their garden. They made a very filling dinner and breakfast for me for 7 soles each, and you can resupply groceries at their bodega.

There are spots on both sides of the bridge. Coming from Sooke you want to cross the bridge as the space is larger and flatter. Nice we walk to the beach. Just a few cars going past at night

Spent 2 lovely nights here- quiet at nite busy with hikers during the day. Only good for small stealthy rigs( vans, cars or trucks) due to the way you park. Left during to day to roam & returned early eve.
