DOB’s Cab-inns is a privately-operated campground within the Explore Park operated by Roanoke County. It has 21 RV sites, small cabins and yurts. Well maintained and attractive. We paid $39 for one night in an RV site with electric hookup. Great bathhouse.
Park has trails and frontage on the Roanoke River.

Gravel lot is now paved with truck parking lines painted. Lots of room. Not quite level, some areas worse than others. Casino and fast food available. No complaints.

Nice little parking area away from local houses, nice view of water and no traffic passing. Many locals walking dogs in the early morning but aside from that it was very peaceful. There were no signs indicating you can’t stay here overnight.
Nice to use the bbq area and hot showers in town then drive out of town a bit to spend the night here. Just leave early!

Not a complaint, but it's a bit more of a storage yard for old BMW parts and project cars than it looks like in the pictures. The last bit of road will have you wondering if you're in the right place, as well, because it looks more or less like you're heading into a bit of a beat up old neighborhood.

The view is great, the chill area is great. It's mostly quiet save for a bit of highway noise and village life sounds floating in, but the thing you hear most is bird song. At 75Q it's a bit of a spend for the amenities you get, but it's the only game in town, really, and a pleasant, quiet place to be. I especially appreciate that it feels very private. Like I can both hang out and sleep with my door open and without my privacy blinds.

Full bars 4G Claro and plenty of open air for starlink if needs be.

Large gravel parking for the Swatara Creek boat ramp. In an open field on a dead end road past some warehouses. Saw a couple guys come to fish around sunset then nobody else all night. No visible overnight parking restrictions. Porta potty and trashcans available. Strong Verizon signal. Some distant noise from Hwy 283 but mostly quiet. Would stay again if passing through.

Great little rest area on a hillside overlooking the ocean. Very quiet at night. There were at least two of us in Campervans staying here and all was good. There is an on-site restaurant, a little store, the usual, super clean toilets and water supply, and plenty of room for big rigs. Close to Nagasaki.

Had a nice quick shower for a dollar this afternoon. The water was nice and warm, place was clean enough. The woman's side had plenty of hooks so I could get my clothes and towel ready. Had a rusted rack to put toiletries on in the shower, it worked.

this place is not closed. plenty of other RVs here. not allowed anything over 20 feet. or anything with a detachable trailor.

Big shopping center with Decathlon and very big food supermarket (magnum). Super fast free wifi inside. Is possible to spend the night in the parking.

It's wonderful that the water is so easily accessible here but we found it too bleachy to drink (despite having a charcoal filter) and had to get additional drinking water. Just a fyi. Good for all other uses though.

This is one among many Landrover garages I’ve been to but they happen to stand out amongst the lot. They’re in deed good at what they do. I have taken my car to so-called specialist for basic things and they couldn’t be fixed but upon reaching this garage, it took them few hours to sort me out. They are reliable and affordable. I recommend them for any fix you need on your Landrover. OverLanders going or coming from Southern Senegal (Cassamance) can easily access them.
To locate them: You make a right after 100 meters away from the police post at the entrance to Brikama from Cassamance.

nice, cozy place with a lake view. Cows come to visit. Sometimes a car drives by. Very quiet at night. You can also use the facilities of the spa hotel.

Very special place at the edge of a cliff overviewing Malawi lake in a forest-like setting. Camping is possible for 11500 kwacha, and there are different room options starting from 27000 kwacha (Safari tent Single). Most of the nice rooms/cabins without private bathroom are 39000 kwacha (single).
Compost toilets, showers with spectacular view. Really nice "fairy-tale" atmosphere in general.

Exceptionally nice staff, the food is good as well (vegetarian), but usually takes a while to arrive after ordering.
There is WiFi around the bar/restaurant area. Airtel signal around the camp is sometimes present, but not stable. Electricity plugs to charge electronics only at the bar.

If you come with your own vehicle and are not a confident off-road rider, better come via the tarred road leading to Livingstonia from the South-West. But even on this route, the last 3 kilometers are not paved and can get very muddy in the rainy season.

This water station has 3 connector for Gardena. High water pressure to fill up also high volum on water.

Beautifull, big meadow surrounded with trees with easy acces even in rain. Not very far from Chelyabinsk, but very quiet with no noise during the night. No local people here, but it seems to be used like camping place during the summer.

Soud is living here and you can park for 5 JOD per night your vehicle in a safe yard. Toilet is available.

Spot right next to the Lake. Unfortunately due to the drought the lake was dried up. Still a nice spot and decided to stay two days.

This spot is in the open (not hidden) with plenty of farmers walking cattle past during the day. Some locals came to chat throughout the day, no issues.

Here you can enter Snake Canyon, offroad, down to the villages Bald Sayd and Bima. I would advice only 4WD and experienced (motorbikers). It get seriously steep after approx 1km and not easy or not even possible to turn around as one lane only!
Also not sure if ok for overlandtrucks.

Check prior contourlines on equivilant apps if you consider to try your luck.

However, fantastic view over the valleys from here, 2000m altitude. Looks like building a cafe shop.

GREAT LOCATION! Super clean bathroom with a very hot shower. The hosts are kind and helpful. We paid $40e in late April... the location is worth it. Water, Chemical Toilet Clean out, electric... all easily accessible.

Many camping spots hidden from the road. Only cows and donkeys. You can hear the noise of the cars but the night is very quiet.

24-hour gas station, safe place, but a little noisy, as there are a lot of trucks. a very complete place with a convenience store, pharmacy, hairdresser, restaurant, clean bathrooms, showers that you can get for free if you fill up, or 10 reais per person.

Quiet side street near the hospital and very central. We felt very save and got a relaxing sleep.
