They build campers, trailers and food trucks and also do repairs. We came here as we needed a baby bed for our toddler. They created a very simple, lightweight, secure and easy to handle solution. Fairly priced.

You need to go to the service or checkout to prepay the $21 and then bring your bottle to the fill station outside.

i made it down to the beach with my 30ft skoolie. would I recommend it? I mean, how confident of a driver are you and how are your brakes? it's a steep hill. but I did it. it's doable for sure, but I'm the ONLY larger vehicle. lots of vans, truck campers and jeeps. also the road coming from 158 is completely washed out and under swift water, so you have to come over the hill at this time

gets really busy on the weekends, which is not that fun... folks, just so you know, there are 3 more miles of roads if this is full. people come out here to find some peace and Solitude. I promise the road keeps going

As all the others said, amazing road. We saw 8 Anteaters, 3 Tapir and lots of other animals. We've spent two nights and two days on the road.
Keep in mind that the Anteaters sleep during the day so chances are really low to see them. We only drove from 6am to 9am, had a long siesta and started driving again at around 3pm until sunset. On every drive we saw Anteaters.

You can find lots of places to sleep. Just take the little detour around the bridges and park in that detour. There are quite a few places hidden from the road, but still right next to it, obviously. But there's little to no traffic at night. Of course only possible when dry and until the road is paved. What a shame they are doing this to that beautiful place.

Recomendable, seguro y buen precio.

We did not stay here but pulled in to fill our water tank. There was no-one at the office (self-registration) so we helped ourselves to a water hookup at one of the sites and drove off. Seems like a decent place if we had been looking to stop.

A huge Havan Store walk distance to big supermarkets (Assai and Atacadão) and Via Verde Shopping Center (Mall). Talk to manager and they will provide water and electricity. We felt very welcomed.

Good budget hostel for a couple of nights. Very friendly owners, Coco and Ana who speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

I booked through booking.com, s/63 per night. I don't know what the walk-up rate is.

Space to park a couple motorcycles, though it's narrow and downhill. You might need help backing them out if you have a big bike.

Rooms are basic. Bed, table, chair. Excellent hot water. Good Wifi. Simple hot breakfast included in the morning.

If you're arriving by motorcycle, the place can be a little hard to get to, and the sign is very small. It's the mint green building. It's located on the corner of a busy intersection, and there's not any good places to stop or park. Someone has to come out and open the gate to let you in. It's best to contact them a couple of minutes before arrival so the gate is open when you arrive.

In my opinion, one of the nicer places I’ve stayed on the PGD. Actually hot shower, clean, only 20 soles with your own room and toilet/sink. The lady is super nice as well.

A nice location. Hotel lots are next to the back lot. Highway noise was bearable, we had our windows closed.

Various campsites along this road. They are small spots. Not entirely sure how this area is designated, but saw one person camp there for the night.

Propane out of order. Not sure for how long. Locals say it has been broken for a few months. The DIY store in town refills bottles.

The DIY center refills bottles. Just put it in a shopping cart and put it inside the store left of the checkout. An employee will take it to the back and fill it. Parking lot can be busy so be cautious with big rigs.

There is a Primo water refill station inside the store. $2.50 / 5 gallons.

When you enter the store it is immediately to your left. Behind the checkout in the corner. (A bit hard to spot).

The outlet outside is for the store to do its business. Like watering the plants.

Convenient location,as you enter on the left of the parking lot, you get limited camping spots under some trees.close to highway,so get some noise.you can use their deck chairs and tables.they have sun umbrellas.the swiming pool us mindblowing great and huge.in the mornings the balloons that are literally launched next to you ,create some noise.but witnessing that is quite an experience.ablutions ok and functional.limited place for vehicles,we saw about 7 there, gets a bit tight.all in all 2 days here, was perfect

Nice grassy clearing, can fit a couple vehicles.
Was quiet, and just a minutes walk from the rest stop toilets. No phone service. Bring mosquito spray!

Lovely campsite behind the lodge and entertainment area. We were standing on campsite 6. The campsites are clean and the area neat. The only downside is the generators of both the hotel and lodge are close by and the noise can be irritating. There are many trees. We paid $15 pppn. The booking office for all the activities are also here and it is convenient. The restaurant is good and you can have dinner at the David Livingstone next door if you wish. There is a connection walking bridge between the two lodges.

We almost didn't stay here because there is a no parking sign at the entrance of the wharf but it says below no trailers, so it wasn't clear. On the road itself, there weren't any no parking signs. We decided to stay and had no issues. Quiet night with the sound of the waves.

Bumpy road to get there but made it easy with our RWD short bus. The flat spots for cars/vans are unremarkable but once you make it to the beach it's all worth it. Lots of sea life in the tide pools, even saw an otter doing its thing in the water. It's worth exploring all the paths that lead to different beaches.

The tent pads mentioned in previous comments are all overgrown and you really have to look for them through a seldom used trail.

Saw a bear on the road on the way out.
