Not free, but the small economy sites are only $20/night. I'm on #26, between 2 tiny cabins & it has a picnic table & 20amp service.

Very busy entrance to a walkable pier with limited space. The traffic comes and goes but the waves of the jetty makes all other noise obsolete. No signs for illegal parking so hopefully all good! There is a park minutes away for pets and fresh water. Watch out for foxtail if you are traveling with a furry friend!

Very quiet. Go 6/10 mile to where camping is allowed. We have a big rig, so we parked in the big flat area down low. Cars and vans drive up to the overlook area. I had 2 bars of T-Mobile

Nice CG. Windy and hot and empty on this trip. About 12 sites spaced nicely apart but no privacy. 2 water spigots and 2 restrooms. Sites are big enough for a small RV and/or tents.

Great place to sleep or hang out. Quiet, safe, 24 hour rest room, river view. Maybe 1/2 mile walk across bridge to whale area....one of them. Whales are great.

You can electronically send $10. to the community fund a night, and donate to their bathroom supply fund for soap and TP. Happy to do both. Great place and kind of the community to allow us to park here overnight. I have 5 bars of Verizon.

Stayed here, was good for the night. It's a wild campsite however, not a formal campsite

Perfectly nice!
Down a short drive to a turnaround. Access to the river is past the fence on the left side. Nicely private.

I recommend you this restaurant for 3 reasons. It’s almost just in front of Carlos Martin taller and long term parking. We had may be in this restaurant, even if we just shared an “entrada” and then a main dish, one of the best food we tasted in Peru. To convince you, I would had that people come from Lima (one hour and a half driving) to have their lunch here. Last but not least, very reasonable prices.

very dangerous road.... very rough and narrow with no turnarounds. many low hanging trees. it took me 4wd and low range, and a lot of work with my pole saw just to get here. i'd go somewhere else

Very rough looking place. They want to charge you 14000 Colones for a campervan with two people. And on top of that they don’t want you use electricity in fear of using an A/C. We thought that was pretty rich to charge $27 USD and limit your electricity consumption. We turned around and went somewhere else. We rough and tight road as well. Not worth the cost

Arrived here around 7 pm, because another campsite was closed.
The gardener called Fatima, who was very open and helpful.
We paid 10$p.p. (adults) and could stay in the parking lot, which was gated.
We got also towels, could use the pool as long as we would like, also at the next day and use showers and bathrooms!
Even it is close to the beach of playa des coco, it is quite and secure.
And we woke up next morning right beside an iguana.

Seems safe enough. Some teens loitering but no immediate problems.
The Amtrak train can be a bit concerting with its occasional blast.
But to be sure, I'm not complaining, it's free and OK
