Water is here and on. It is kind of hard to turn all the way off, so wait and make sure it's not dripping after.

Established campground off of the main interstate outside of Bozeman. Stopped here because we needed a shower and to do laundry. Bathrooms are okay, showers are warm. Trains went by throughout the night and woke us up every time. Good for a night.

Buy tickets at the building. There is a window.

We arrived on a Wednesday at 4 pm going West to East. Many cars. Get in line with the cars. Don’t park behind the trucks.

I tried to talk to a couple of employees and after some time they let us skip the line. I paid 10.000 extra. But definitely worth it.

From arriving at the port to leaving with the ferry took one hour.

Ferry takes about 20 vehicles including a couple of trucks and busses.

Crossing was only 20 min.

Be careful with your mirrors. People are rushing.

Couldn't pitch my tent but Tony allowed me to rent a fully equipped old caravan for R250. Bargain. The ablutions are spotless and there is a restaurant/bar.

Nice and quiet place next to some hikes and trails. There is a trash bin and porta potty. Spend one night here, locals came for bikes and walks in the evening and morning, but no one bothered me or said anything. Safe place. And a lot of fireflies, and birds in the morning. Beautiful.

Just called to enquire if a solo person could get onto a flight. Couldn’t. Only able to book the entire plane which they advised was 8800p ($650USD).

Nice place, first loop is shaded and parts of the second loop is shaded including some of the primitive sites, of which there aren't many but enough I suppose as none of the other ones were full. Minimal cell service ATT and had to return to the front to book and even that I needed to call instead of online. All sites must be booked online now I think as they now only have the camp host volunteers. $20 for no hookups.

No longer self-service. Good parking lot for big rigs, but it’s paid. $1.25/hour. We left for the lavanderia across from Parque el Paraiso. “New York style” or something like that.

Easy access, also with our rig (18t). There are lots of possibilities not seen from the road. Be careful, pieces of metal are lying around.

We crossed from Iran to Pakistan
If you want a smooth crossing get a real Pakistan evisa and not a visa on arrival. It’s possible to cross with that but you have to be patient. We were already at the border yesterday, but couldn’t cross yet and Mr Hamid showed us a really nice place to stay for free. This morning we returned at 9, but had to wait for 5 hours until our visa was approved. Except for the visa the rest was relatively smooth. Check the car out of the Iran computers at the gate, get an exit stamp inside and then drive around the building. On the right behind some trucks is a container where you get the Carnet stamped out. Then you can cross over to Pakistan.
There we first got entered into a book, then went to immigration. Afterwards there’s a gate where they make photos of your documents and call an escort. They will bring you to the police station and after waiting for two hours we also went to the customs to get a Carnet entry stamp and back again to the police station.

Here better to stop to park your big rig. Palmiera are very narrow streets and it’s getting worst if there are many people (high season or holiday). Here the street is large to park your big rig. Near entrance for Hike Fumaca

Be careful if you are big rigs. We were there when many cars because of San João. Very narrow streets and where you are too fare way to start hike Fumaca. Didn’t try to get further with our big rigs.

We slept 2 nights (before and after Fumaca Hike) here because the other spot with view was too bumpy and narrrow for us. Felt safe, flat, very quiet at night. Many cars past during the day but no dust. Go to see sunset on other spot. Very nice.
