Parked directly on the beachfront parking, great view in the morning. Very peaceful night, great view of the Caribbean sunrise in the morning. There are showers for 10 pesos, toilets for 5 pesos. Was able to charge my phone there as well. Good spot.

Private owned residence for overlander with their own tent, there are basic hot showers and toilets. The spot is owned by Justus with his very friendly Family. They will provide a very delicious and plentiful and organic breakfast, lunch and dinner if you ask for it. You can also get the vegetable and milk on the way. He will also lit a bonfire in the evening or show you around the area. The place is really new, you can give him a call in advance under the following number +254792319245

Asked around for a less expensive restaurant and got to this nice little one. “Comida del dia” is $5,50 and includes a bottle of tap cold water. It’s only available from 12 to 3. After that only menu options, which I didn’t bother to check.
Good classic rock‘n roll tracks.

As mention before this is a great place to stay for a couple of days. There is good shade and wind protection. The bathrooms are very clean and if you come here without supplies there are two good restaurants near by. Also daily people come by selling all short of things from accessories for your camper to fresh fish and cookies. All an all a great beach stay and we are not surfers.

Wild camping outside the NP.
Many many spots available amounts the trees with fire pits. Several flat areas. There were a few roads that dropped down to a steep incline we avoided these and still found many spots to choose from. Far enough from the hwy not to be seen but you can hear the hum of the hwy

You can ask kindly at the town hall (at the main plaza) or the police if you can stay there at the "gimnasio" over night. You need the permission of the municipality.

We (2 people plus camper truck) paid 35 soles per night for a 2-night stay. Peaceful place - a quiet oasis from noisy Piura. Fast wifi. Water not potable. Electricity only available from outlet near bathroom. Bathroom is open-air (not too private) and shower water is hot. Toilet does not flush well - you need to add a bucket of water. We did not try restaurant. Easy to catch bus (one sole, Super Star, blue and white, stopping every few minutes) across the road from the campground to go to giant superstore area. A little confusing to find parking when you come through gate but you will get there. If gate looks closed, you will be able to untangle chain to get in. Peruvian dogs will come barking at you.

3 months of insurance for our Mitsubishi Delicate minivan 1989 for S/57.50. Much cheaper than the women who rips you off at the border.

Small level parking lot right on the water. Posted price is $5 includes bathroom and shower. Bathroom is $1 and cold water shower is $1. Just past the police station sandwiched between houses and the water. Very quiet, lot is empty most weekdays, may be busy on the weekend. Small food and drink tienda on sight. Suitable for small truck campers and vans, no overhieght problems. Oversized longer vehicles may have problems squeezing in.

Great place for water, just off a busy street. Pancho and his crew were very helpful, chasing down a long hose to help fill our camper tank. 12 pesos for 20 liters.

Very much not closed... We heard how nice this spot was and despite this listing saying it was closed we came by to check. The gate is kept closed as others have mentioned, but we hollered "Hola" through the gate and then shortly greeted by Ricardo who is managing this place with his Aunt. 500pesos is maybe a bit steep, but the waterfront view is nice and it's in the big city so maybe to be expected. I asked for a phone number if you want to phone ahead 6121988395. His Spanish is good, English, not so much.

We paid 159K for 2 months for our Dodge Sprinter. She said we can not extend one month because there is no SOAT if you go north. I'm not sure I can believe that.

Antonio and his shop are some of the best around. Cannot recommend enough! I pulled in this afternoon after reading on IO to get my oil changed. I’m a bit of mechanic myself and prefer to do my own work. However I’m unable to dispose of oil properly while on the road and figured having a shop take a peek at the ol sprinter was good after 6 months. Pulled in. Met Antonio and we went straight to work. Changed oil. Filter. Some fuel lines and minor welding on my rig. Trickle charging house batteries as I’m having some power issues and I can say I’d let this guy touch my rig any day. Super kind. Super knowledgeable, polite. Speaks perfect English. Has great stories Wonderful family and will even let you stay on property if they have the space. Clean bathrooms. What else can you ask for. If you are in Cancun I’d suggest you pay him a visit and support local business. I was charged 400peso. Paid 500. And Would happily paid more for the quality of professionalism I found here.
Do your car a favor and let this shop take a look.

Best experience here. $15 a night gets you astounding views, fresh water source, hot showers, flush toilets, rock climbing and hiking, and free (gourmet) coffee on the weekends. There is sewage disposal and electricity at the pavilion. No hookups at sites, but there are spots big enough for RVs and they said they plan to add hookups at some point. They even have a gear shop. Staff was lovely. $5 a car for day use of you don’t stay over, tho I highly recommend staying!

We wanted to get 30 days insurance for our van, but they wanted to charge us the casa rodante fee which is around 48,000, and our van is really small! They said since we sleep in there it’s a casa rodante, also since our tarjeta de circulación says microbús (but that’s just what they call it in Guatemala). We left. Maybe if you try, don’t say you sleep in there.
