Very unique place, natural wood boardwalks and ladders to two beautiful waterfalls. Particularly impressive after or during heavy rain. Don’t miss them.

Nice panaderia with two small tables inside, where you can sit and get breakfast if you like.
Open every day from 6:30 to 21:00.

Arrived here to find a sign saying campground closed. We were self-contained so we picked a spot and stayed the night without a problem. no one else was in the campground. The next morning we woke up to a team of guys with chainsaws heading into the woods. The campground is great and the waterfall is amazing. excellent LTE service for att and Verizon!

Very nice, quiet and green place, like a small oasis in the desserted Fiambala. The owner is quiet friendly and he sells artesanal products of the area. We bought a bottle of sauvignon and marmalade. You can refill water, as it is potable, have a warm bath (in an unmaintained but clean bathroom) and a nice sleep in the van or the dormitory. We paid 400 ARS for one night for our van and us.

Not the greatest camping but ok to spend a night on the road. The shower doors did not close properly. Toilets were not very clean and to flush you had to stick your hand in the tank and pull the lever which is a bit disgusting. We paid 760 for 2p and van. Wifi very weak and only around reception.

Paper and digital maps will tell you to take this route to get to Chile. DO NOT DO THIS as it's virtually inaccessible, we turned back after 4km with our 4WD.

We could not drive further as there was a barricade on the road. Seems like a military base. Eventually 2 soldiers came down to talk to us. We needed to write down our information before they let us pass.

I forgot to mention below, that the price we paid two people and our van was 400 Argentinian Pesos.

Laguna Hanson campground. There are cabins and primitive campsites. I drove from the north and that requires 4WD. I see busses (like school busses, not motor coaches) arriving from the south so the dirt road must be OK for them. water seems to be in cabins only. Fee is 72 Pesos.

Update, not all are welcoming. Got spit at by passing resident, or something wet squirted at us. Funny how welcoming everyone has been until dealing with the elitists. Lots of Harleys and performance vehicles roaring down the road on PCH on the weekends.

Stayed here two nights, beautiful campsites, due to time of year a large section is first come first serve and other areas reservable. Showers are clean & HOT, firewood for $5, dump site and right at the beach. I don’t often pay for camping but I would recommend this campground.

We couldn’t find/access to these exact coordinates. They seem to have built a new fishing lake nearby. There are however lots of tracks and after a bit of driving around we camped at coordinates 20.2226684, 99.9643528. Mostly hidden from the tracks, one person came past us and waved.

One night stay, we were the only ones. Only a few fisherman doing their thing. Nice place in the green.

Clean Rest Stop, very clean bathrooms, vending machines.
Parked in the car side, not a lot of highway noise. Restful sleep. Good spot if you just need to sleep the night and then keep on driving the next morning.

Not beautiful but got the job done and was rather nice for a rest stop.

Right before the close village, big parking where the locals used to play soccer (as a local told us), some locals came to visit and were really nice, offered us toilet, showers and tea. Be carefull at night because there are leopards around so stay in the car after 9 PM and dont leave anything outside. Locals are super friendly..

Afton Road turns into a dirt road just as it enters BLM land. There were a couple of graded dirt road starts that go nowhere on the right side of the road. It is far enough from Hwy 15, so super quiet, and super dark. Perfect for boondocking in a van, camper, or roof top tent.

Nice flat camping, clean bathrooms, common shelter with space for cooking, eating and relaxing. Sometimes little dust from nearby road throughout the day, but it was fine. Very fast Wi-Fi which reached even to our spot.

we stayed longer than expected like many before us. The place is beautiful. There are electricity for every car, drinking water, clean Toilette and shower, swimming-Pool. Price: 1500 KSh for car. They have also a nice restaurant (good food).
You can also rent cottages.
Mario, the owner, has a well-equipped workshop that can be used for a fee. He helps competently with problems. Very good place to stay, also for longer.

Great place. All the amenities others have described. So nice to have hot showers and to be able to do laundry! The beach is about 8 miles long and we had it mostly to ourselves the whole week. Sandy, the owner is great. Really fun and friendly guy. He does all he can to make your stay enjoyable. If you need supplies he’ll tell you where in the nearby town to go. He’ll even take you there. When the restaurant was open on the weekend, the food was delicious. Very dog friendly.

Great shelter for cyclists under bad weather. It pretty clean and still in good enough condition. Not possible to build the tent in but enough space for tow mattresses. Or maybe a hammock.

Only open camping when I showed up in la Junta and needed a place to pitch the tent out of the rain. 5000 p/p. Good WiFi. Really hot shower. A basic kitchen with gas stove. Owner's been nice. He left travelers build their tent under the roof of his garage instead of outside in the rain, but the space is limited. there's no rain cover for tents otherwise, the official camping ground is the grassy garden. Enough room for a motorhome or two.

Beautiful falls, the pool was very dirty. The walk to the top of the stairs is worth it. There are caves at the top and more waterfalls. Do no attempts if not in fairly good shape. Rock walk ways were very slippery. They charged us 50 peso each to go to the falls and stay the night. Diago a local guy was very drunk and would not leave us alone. He get very upset when we would not talk to him. The guards had to remove him 3 times. That did not make us feel very safe. In the end the guards watched our camper and Diago did not return.

This was a great Hospedaje! We decided to stay 2 nights, then we camped 1 night in the mountains (Poincenot) and then we decided to stay another night at Los Nires. We got lucky and got a room on short notice.
Rooms are really comfy and we really enjoyed not having to sleep in a hostel for a view days.
Breakfast is quit good!

WiFi does only work in the common area!

1 night in a double bed costs 1701 Pesos for 2 people!
