Great free place to rest for the night. Beautiful views all around (320 degrees). Come early to get a good spot- we came at 5pm and snatched a spot at the end of the pier squished between an RV and smaller trailer. Two things to note - there are many RVs around, and no public restroom at night (6pm to 9am). Beautiful sunset facing the pier. Sleep was good, very calm after sundown (occasional vehicles rolling in at night).

If the pier with RVs ain’t your thing, there is also at least two parking lots where you can stay overnight, also saw a few tents pitched up. As someone mentioned lineup for submarine is long but there are also installations outside for a quick tour.

Campsite in the national park. Each campspot has fireplace and shelter with table, surface is sand and flat. There is a small kiosk/shop near administration. Toilets are on the other side of road . No water, no electricity. 500 rub/night. They provide wood for campfire for 150 rub. They have russian sauna on the beach 🙂, 150 rub/hr per person. Weekends overcrowded by locals.
Be carefull of bears. Some nights they visit garbage, and even campspots. I had a visitor. When she understood that I saw her she continued her way calmly.
As a reminder, at night do not leave any food outside, and do not walk in forest.

This campsite is a beautiful, well maintained remote campsite. limited staff did not see one employee the entire stay. no bathrooms , or water/electric hookups.
They seem to have recently changed the rules to not accommodate RTT in the campsites. we made due and set up in the designated parking space. For the $25 fee it was a nice place to stopover if you have a ground tent or do not mind setting up how we did. pictures will explain more.

Not sure why the spot is on here twice but figured I’d put it in both of them. Nice little spot with a decent view and a nice walk over to the beach area. The road is semi-busy but at night does quiet down a lot. It’s one of those situations where if you live in a van you probably should be a heavier sleeper anyway. No issues at all and there is even a guy selling some fresh honey next to me during the day. Also a very easy walk into bodega Bay if you want to check out some of the fish shops.

There was some road construction equipment in the spaces as well but it was a weekend so that wasn’t a concern for me. Still plenty of space to park a handful of vans.

If you pass hurt log reservoir there’s a dirt road that goes up to the right. There are little pull up spots once you get in but if you drive up about half a mile there’s a steeper dirt road that leads right up to a nice camp area for one van/car. There is a fire circle up here. I have a rwd Astro and made it up here completely fine. No cars what so ever and I have 1 bar of Verizon service. So quiet and peaceful up here. Only staying for a day but you could definitely stay as long you want.

Found this convenient campground in Yeppoon as the ones in town were full. Although had some bad reviews the new management has turn things around. The amenities are all new and super clean and the staff was very helpful. A bit of noice from the road in the unpowered sites but only during the day.

Très grand stationnement près de la passerelle et piste cyclable qui traverse la rivière Harricana. Vue sur les rapides et à 2 minutes du centre-ville. Très tranquille et superbe vue.

There were several places along this dirt road to camp. Some of the camps were off the road, across a creek or right next to the road. Lots of mountain bikes, joggers and vehicles during the day depending on which part of the road you’re on. There are a lot of inconsiderate drivers that go by at high speeds leaving a giant dust cloud in their wake. Luckily we were off the road in the pines that it wasn’t an issue. Other camps were blasted with it. After setting up and exploring our area we came to find a lot of toilet paper all around the outskirts of camp. Apparently “leave no trace” does not apply to someone. And it was everywhere. Luckily no decal matter discovered, which leads me to believe females frequented the area. There was also no wood to scrounge for fires, so you may want to bring your own. Someone had cut down a green pine and left chunks of it in our area.
We’ll definitely use this area again (different spot) when we go back down to the area. And you get some funny looks from folks at Lindy Point when you come up from the backside and enter Blackwater Falls covered in mud and leaves.

As stated, right on 4th ave. Only stayed here for the proximity to Kits and the beaches. Don’t know of any other spots in the area but would not recommend this spot with all the traffic, even overnight. Made for a restless night.
