NoMansOverland(YouTube | Nice RV park with many amenities. Dry spots are only $20 but very close to a noisy road. Regular spots start at $45. No ground tents, vans and roof tents ok. Owners are nice and the park is very dog-friendly. |

thedragonwagon.me | We needed a place to shower and kill some time so we stopped here. Showers were lukewarm, not hot and you have to continuously press a button for water. $7 per person entry, includes swimming in the artesian spring. currently limited to 900 guests so book online if you want to be sure to get in. Camping is still closed for renovations, so this is a day area only. closes at 7:30 pm. Trash cans and picnic area plus lots of grass. Dogs welcome on leash in the grass area, not the fenced pool area. There is dry camping just a few miles away at Balmorhea Lake. $5 per person. |

stranz4 | Pretty nice campground. Not super private but not super close together either. Bathrooms are clean, but showers are part of the lodge next door so they charge $2.50 for 5 minutes. Very clean though, and very hot. Firewood was very expensive $7.30 plus tax for about 4-5 pieces. Also the nightly rates have gone up to $30 per night. No hookups available. Dump station and drinking water available but only at dump station and a few taps around the campground. Opens March 28th |

guthier.com | Very clean and quiet place. Good sanitary facilities. Clean pool. Fast WiFi. Very friendly family. Nice little veggie garden. Soledad makes asado or a local dish on request and serves it right at the camper. Access is from the main road (no sign). You can hear the road a bit on the campsite. Contact: +54 26 22 64 32 52 |

Endless Adventuring | Got our laundry cleaned here. Quick and easy. Dropped off our bag of laundry and came back a few hours later to pick up. Laundry was washed, dried, and folded. Pretty expensive but takes the hassle out of it. Paid $280 pesos for a large bag of laundry (2 loads) |

datzneat | Epic spot. Can sit by the river out of the wind or explore the area on foot. Smaller rigs and tents can get down closer to the water and be really sheltered. Someone put a handmade sign at the pullout trying to get people to pay online for camping but this is BLM so ignore that. Website was non-existent anyhow. There is one more spot with ok internet before the hill shadows you from the cell towers at the end of the road. Verizon roaming 2Mb, Att on mofi 18Mb. Please keep it clean! |

cooksar0503 | Take a right from main road then after first spot you will see a mini road further in. Ends at a section that has multiple spots. Probably could fit 3 cars/vans comfortable. Came in an 2wd truck able to make it slowly then back into a nice spot. Fire pit in the middle and one closer to one of the back in spots. |

kktorr2 | Outdoor showers at the state park. The campground has indoor hot shower stalls. You have to get tokens at the front of the campground at a kiosk and no one said anything to us. We each put in enough tokens for a 10 minute shower and it stopped after 2 minutes. We didn’t complain since we weren’t actually camping there but it was annoying. |

makoventuretravel.com | We came here for the chocolate making demonstration and loved it, $14 BZ per person (they accept PayPal if you don’t have cash on you). We walked here in 100 degree heat so we were ragged when we arrived and they were so nice, offering us water and turning the fans for us. We learned a lot in the demonstration and enjoyed mixing up the drinking chocolate. They also sell the raw Cacau nibs, cocoa powder made in house, and chocolate tea leaves, among other things. |

Adriaan&Isabelle | We went to this mechanic because he was recommended by a member of ih8mud (a Land Cruisers forum). We had him inspect our suspension (after repairs done in Guatemala) and replace engine oil, automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and coolant. He was unable to locate filters for our exotic 1HD-FTE diesel engine but even Toyota needs weeks to import those. We'll try again in the USA. |
