Well described in the main entry. Camped right under the street light between the church parking lot and the open lot. Street is one way. Quiet for us on a Tuesday night.

Posto 24h. fomos muito bem atendidos. Pedimos tomada e nos cederam gentilmente. Preço mais em conta que os demais da cidade. Banheiro ok. No feminino tem um chuveiro frio. Restaurante e pizzaria, a música fica até tarde.

Asked if ok to stay overnight in camper on parking lot, no problems. Clean bathrooms closed from Midnight to 7. Free and fast WiFi. Picknick table close by. Was quiet overnight. Got boiling water in the morning.

spent two nights here. saw no one. beautiful starry skies at night. sound of the river only. very quiet and isolated. we loved it. the path is a bit steep and rocky but we have a huge rig and 2x2 and backwheel propulsion and it was fine. the start of the path from the road isn't exactly at the gps point but look closely before getting to the gps point on your right and you'll find it.

Lots of free street parking around the park, neighborhood, and shopping mall area. I parked next to this park with no issue as it's near apartments and is essentially residential streets. Dog park is also nearby. Quick easy walk to all the restaurants and shops. Free wifi in certain spots. I posted up at the Capital One Cafe all day for work with no issue

Unfortunately Mickey's Snack Shop with the famous Indian Taco doesn't exist anymore. The new place here is called Pekish and the breakfast burritos are very good.

Awesome artisan bakery with an extensive offering of delicious breads and pastries (including gluten free coconut sourdough!) Exactly what you’ve been missing on the road.

Nice walking distance from Tu Posada.

Not sure why this is labeled "bear creek", both on maps and as a local who's been there lots this whole area is the Spanish Creek parking and trailhead. Not sure if overnight camping is allowed in the main parking lots, but there are some pull outs just before the trailhead area.

This sight is accessed through 2 sets of unused gates between the abandoned tennis courts. When we found it there were a couple of local kids using the track for training. we spoke to their father who was supervising them and he said we will be fine here tonight with our 2 motorcycles. He said not to worry, the gates are never closed.

During rainy season it might be worth calling before going, as eg now I just learned that they are currently closes due to recent rain damage: +264 67 307 946
However, they will reopen as soon as they get to their maintenance.

Great place, quiet, safe and dark. Next to a school. Spent 2 night there, we left the trailer alone all day without problems.

Muy buen lugar, tranquilo, oscuro y seguro. Queda al lado de la escuela. Pasamos 2 noches ahí, dejamos la casa rodante sola y no hubo problemas.

5000 CRC per person. Nice flat space for our rig. The bathrooms were clean and it was a peaceful night. WiFi was offered but the signal was not great. We used LTE service in our phones with no issues.

pulled in here on a Tuesday evening with our 24 ft class c and there were about 10 rigs comfortably here. the lot is large but it's very slanted so there's very few spots where you'd be able to park level. whoever said there could be 30 rigs here is a bit too used to rv parks. this is a dispersed camping site, which means everyone should be pretty distanced from one another, not on top of each other. don't be that one guy, and park on top of someone else.
pros: good reception. beautiful mountain view.
cons: generators, people really close to one another. we stayed one night and left early af the next morning. no privacy at all.
overall we prob would come here last resort.

Compa on the road

There are 3 parking areas near sendero Lagunas Altas. The first parking lot you encounter is accessable for all vehicles. The road between the first and second parking lot can be in bad condition. Watch out for loose rocks, some steep parts and upcoming traffic.

The second and third parking areas are very close together. The second one is higher than the third. For camping, you usually will drive down to the third. The road connecting them can also be in bad condition. Going down is no problem, but going up the next day might be. Check the road and weather in advance.

Right by the train tracks, that would be noisy. We didn’t stay there.

Stayed here before crossing to Zimbabwe. 750 Meticais for 2 people, camping area is pleasant enough for a night near some trees. They opened a chalet for hot showers. You can really hear trucs passing on the road nearby. Fair enough for the price. Great Vodacom 4G coverage.
