Beautiful spot in the trees along the beach. Spent three nights here over the weekend. A couple families having picnics during the day but quiet at night. Police drove through once but didn’t stop. The way we entered would be a bit tricky for some big rigs, but should be possible. There is a dirt track running up and down the beach, so there are probably more ways to get here. Would stay again

Great storage site! Noel super helpful and charged me only 5000 shillings per day for 3 weeks storage. He also turned the motorcycle on periodically in Oder for the battery not to drain. He’s a real gem to work with.
Thank you for this contacrr te!

Other accounts accurate as reported. Amazing sunrises and sunsets here. Nice open areas to let the dogs run. Can get a bit windy

Since its not clear from previous posts, tent campers can also stay and are also outside the guardhouse, which is not the greatest tent camping spot ever but you can tuck a (narrow) motorbike and tent behind the sign so you're mostly out of view of the road but in sight of the guardhouse.

We revisited Eldorado for the first time in 10 years - it's expanded hugely but is still excellent. The original campsite is grass with mature shade trees and a block of 4 really good stone built ablutions plus a kitchen/laundry area.
The newer campsites seem to be grass with multiple additional ablution blocks (at least 2 being individual). Some of these newer sites border a new game viewing area with lit waterhole where giraffe etc can be seen from a raised platform and some have rooves for shade.
The predator viewing tours are still operating - that's another issue.
The staff all seem happy and welcoming - Gideon remembered us from last time!

Cabins at this location don't seem to match OP's description. No view, cabins are before the hill, very basic. Double bed with aircon and private bath, pretty bare otherwise

Owner offered for 15000, but me thinking he said 50000 I said it was too expensive and he lowered to 12000. I said I will look at another place and maybe come back, when he offered 10000. I would have stayed, but my girlfriend likes places to be a bit less basic.

Owner is friendly, can park 1 or 2 motos inside the room, big rigs outside I think without height restriction

Nice place beside the river with place for several vehicles. Some locals were down here on Sunday, very kind. From 9pm on we were alone and had a quiet night.

Was hesitant to stay here with squamishes “no camping” bylaw, however I stayed here for the night, 8-10 other camping vehicles as well without any issue. Definitely easier in a stealth vehicle, but there were definitely a few normal campers as well without issue. Be careful and don’t abuse the spot, park in the back and you should be fine

Had a very pleasant stay here. Great tar road arrives only 2km from reception. The use of the old cottage was very handy specially when it was raining. Indeed I don't know if they clean it very frequently but still better than many ablution blocks in several campsites. Tap water comes from a spring so is safe for drinking. Not real Econet network but from time to time we got some WhatsApp messages. Free wifi at reception area working very well (about 400 meters from camping area). Firewood provided. Hot showers are solar. Electricity in the cottage not reliable (many shortages). I don't know what happens if there are other people camping when you get here.10 USD ppn.

parking bay in front of the limay river. It seemed to me the quietest of the entire coastal promenade and very well lit.

dársenas de estacionamiento en frente al río limay. me pareció el más silencioso de todo el paseo de la Costa y muy iluminado.

Still a good option for a night, very quiet during the night but as soon the sun comes up there is a trafic of big trucks coming for sand.

Good place to rest. It’s quite and not much vehicles at night. There is a sign limiting customers to two hrs parking only but it’s not enforce. There is internet, showers, etc. There is only one rest room for males and one for females. If the restroom is being clean then there is no other one to use. I recommend the place as a rest stop.

Spent 2 nights here. We paid $10/pppn. Hot water all the time. Nice showers with good pressure. Ablutions ok. Area is not flat so a bit hard to find a good spot for a RTT. The owner gave us a permission to use the hide and pool. Usually campers can’t use the lodge facilities and the gate is locked. Other staff very friendly. Staff will light you a fire and braai every evening, wood is included. There were many elephants at the hide (came close, but they were relaxed). Owner seemed like a nice guy.

The ranger at Natural Bridges National Monument recommended us this location because the park campground was full . Quiet night . No service . There is plenty of space for van and/or bigger rigs . Fire ring. We recommend this spot.

Went here planning to camp just beyond the summit but snow blocked the track so walked up and camped here where the snow was partially melted, can easily park by the petrol stations beneath. Only bad thing is it’s very exposed and was very windy

Great spot for a night. unfortunately a lot of trash in the area. But I am saddened that I have had to say that about almost every site I've stayed in the past 2 weeks. I am going today to get trashbags & hotdogs roasting stick to pick trash up with. safe & quiet place to park. woke up to a few more vehicles here doing the same. it's rained & snowed for over a week straight...please PNW...give me a break.

still here, still $2 (plus $1 for the tunnel tour) The last 4 years haven't been kind to this place and there's lots of graffiti, rubbish, and potholes, but the view is still nice and the experience is now more like UrbEx

A very nice place indeed.
I was planning on stopping 2 nights but this place was so relaxing and the river and all the animals were amazing just sitting there with my binoculars that I stayed 4 nights.
There is a new manager and as the dorm was not ready so I was put in a chalet for a very reasonable price including a full cooked breakfast.
I also at dinner here and it’s a 3 course menu which was different every night and not to pricey and the cook is very good.
The staff are lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as on my trip through Africa this place has been the nicest and best value by far.
There is also a bar and swimming pool and they do packaged tours although the website is not up and running yet but it will be soon I was informed.
Saw plenty of animals in the park tour and even leopards.
Best experience in Africa so far.

We came for a wine tasting and ended up staying a night. We didn't even had to ask, they invited us right away. Best camp spot you can find in this area. Bottles of wine aren't expensive here, so you might want to just buy two bottles instead of doing the tasting. We recommend the Chenin Blanc and the Nebbiolo.
