Worked great. Road noise wasn’t bad at all middle of night. Beautiful sunset views.

10/10 great and safe place to sleep with really clean bathrooms inside. It does say sleeping is prohibited but don’t worry your fine. There was 3 other vans sleeping here too. But the dozens of trucks in the back sleeping. Little road noise but not to bad.

I got a first come site (#40) on a Saturday. No one ever took #41. You can self issue after hours. SHOWERS at visitor center. Found them by accident. Good hike to Table Mountain from camp site. Verizon has 2 bars. Quiet campground. I felt alone at #40. Great views too. Windy in afternoon but calm morning and night. $10 includes day pass fee.

Dormimos uma noite neste local, estacionamento público na beira da praia em meio a prédios residências com câmeras de monitoramento. Não tem nenhuma estrutura. Nos sentimos seguros e a noite foi tranquila.

We stayed here one night and all was quiet for street parking until about 4am. There was a big dispute with yelling, crying, and people bumping into our van while we kept our lights off and stayed out of it. The police came and this cleared the air for a little bit, but the arguments continued once the police left for another hour or so. In the morning there was another loud brief argument before we hit the road. This experience probably isn’t a regular occurrence - I hope! The street parking itself is level and away from traffic. A short downhill walk to the beautiful main plaza.

Picketts changed hands about 4 years ago. We usually try to stop here.. There is a Sinclair Station with a really nice store and fast food.(Churches Chicken). We paid $32. for a back in site. Clean washrooms, hot showers.

This place is so neat, many hidden pockets of stone suburbs too :) like the OP suggests…pleas try leave every place better than you found it. I pulled a full bag of trash out of here. Why is it people who litter always seem to drink Bud Light?

Some say this is a parking lot. And it is…. That said, it’s right on the water. Walking distance to several GREAT restaurants with 24 hour security for $10.

The little restaurant on the old mill hotel property is 5 star. It’s called Eucalipto. The ambiance, drinks and food are something I would expect from a chic restaurant in San Diego. The owner/chef Javier brought the food to our table with pride. He hung out and talked to us about the food. He and his staff were awesome. It was an unexpected treat in San Quentin.

Last amenity is the fishing guide service located behind the old mill. They leave right from the boat ramp at the edge of the parking lot at 6am. If you camp here, you just slide into the boat and sleep all the way out to the fishing grounds. Blue fin we’re in when we stopped. We watch a 125 pounder get filleted. I can’t stop craving sushi.

Multiple sites with some right on the river! Only one other camper on site when we pulled in! Pit toilets clean and water is available to fill tanks at a central site in area. No electric! Internet access is spotty at best!

Very nice place for one night directly on the lake. We were there on a Saturday and some locals were there for a BBQ, but the music was not that loud and we didn't hear much noise. It is like a circle with trees in the middle, so you can hide to not be seen from the street.

Multi-use BLM land near Albuquerque. Bumpy dirt road on the way in, areas of most Cholla and rocky buttes between. some flat areas to camp. Clearly used by cattle and for target practice, but some areas are less abused than others. Very quiet place to spend the night and also explore for rocks and fossils.
