white.van_no.plan | The parking lot seemed small enough to us that the “no overnight parking” sign implies to the entire property not just that part. We didn’t stay here and instead went to the Elmira Train Station parking lot. |

esave4u | This is hidden gem in Mexico. Natural wines fermented in clay pots in the ground, mezcal, beer, all food cooked, and or smoked, over wood fire... The food is amazing and plentiful. Your glass, either it be wine or mezcal, never seems to stay empty (until you quit. ) If you stay in the shipping containers, they are comfortable and spacious. A good place to get away from the heat, it is at 8,000 feet. I love this place. |

@moijeannart | Yes it's a beautiful place but very expensive, the beach is very dirty and quite dangerous. And owners are the most big problem

michellepallozzi | original poster was correct. lots of potholes but go slow in your fine, however, I stopped at this spot and didn't go any further. don't know what's up the road. just checking things out in the area so not a place I would ever camp, it's literally on the road. wouldn't recommend this for low clearance or large vehicles. I came in a Chevy Express van. did not stay, I repeat I would not suggest this location. when I came at the end of May, potholes were full of water and road was somewhat muddy. lots of better places to stay! |

michellepallozzi | pulling off this road there is a gate that says no trespassing. If you take a right hand turn on to the very narrow gravel road, it goes out and makes a circle at a power tower not the ideal spot, however it's a great level spot hidden by raspberry bushes and other plants. Good drainage so it doesn't get muddy it's all gravel. Good place to stop for the night for a small vehicle. hidden from the highway however you can hear a little bit of highway noise. there are no signs saying no trespassing, no parking, no camping nothing like that. relatively level all the way around. I'm in a van and it would be fine for a small vehicle but I wouldn't take a big rig back here. |

Bigly37 | Awesome camping for free! Tough road in, but worth it. Eat in one of the two Alvaro restaurants and pig out on shrimp, ceviche, octopus or clams. Killer food. $10 US for huge plate of garlic shrimp. Big quinceañera last night so Mauricio put us beach-side next to one of their family houses away from the party. The motto here is “yes” and “no problem”. Gals in the restaurant are so pleasant! 4 bars Telcell 3G (ATT) and Verizon works well, too. Giant beach. Zero complaints. Follow iOverlander map. Do not follow Google or turn right into the strawberry fields or you’ll run through a big sand dune. Check out YouTube for some Don Alvaro visitor videos. |

sierraindia87 | There is a green potable water spigot near the maintenance garage. The on-site Mx guy confirmed it was potable. He said the one at the dump is, as well, but we all know what happens with that spigot. There are a lot of water stations with spigots, as well, but they do not lock in place… you’d have to sit there and hold them while filling. The one near the maintenance shed is only good for vehicles that can fit into a regular parking spot, big rigs will probably block drivers trying to pass by. I am in a Sprinter and backed up into a single spot, have a 35’ hose, and had more than enough to spare. |

cimei.teixeira | The near place named "Espírito Santo" is not good, seems wrong coordinates. We drove a little bit more and found Bicanga Beach. Out of season, in a week day, at the and of the road the kiosk is closed and you can stay in a plane and calm place. |
