Water sign was there but need the water tool thing to turn it on. So I went up to the free dump station up the road.

Nice place as previously said but they asked for 20,000 RWF (2 adults 1 car rooftop tent) with the chalet for hot showers which we insisted we didn't need so the man at reception said he could reduce to 15,000 RWF even though we told them our friends came 3 days before and paid 10,000 RWF for the same as us. He said it was impossible. Later that day other campers came with 3 adults 1 car on a rooftop tent and paid 10,000 RWF per night! 😤 When we left I gave the equivalent of 10,000 per night to a lady at reception and she didn't say anything. So price will depend on who is at reception at that time... No wifi provided as another review says but great Mobile internet connection with MTN and Airtel.

Flat forest space indeed, but absolutely no cell coverage. In the villages around only 3g, no 4g at all

No Verizon signal, but the pit toilets were clear and overall it was a great parking lot to sleep in. I arrived after the office closed and left before it opened, but I did not see any signs prohibiting overnight parking. There is also a designated lot with RV parking with plenty of spots.

Nice spot not very far from I-90, was easy to find in the dark. 3 bars LTE Verizon, sounded like a stream nearby.

Be really carefull. Hotel and Restaurant ist closed actually. Road ist halfway blocked with stones. we Took our breakfast at 7am at the trailhead. payed 10 quetzal for safe parking there. heared several shoots in the fog. After 15min 7 or 8 guys with automatic weapons walked into the volcano trail. Most of the truck drivers there we're also armed and with 3 personen in the driving cabin. So be carefull and doublecheck the situation, obviously locals don't warn you when you want to hike the volcano, even it's super dangerous. the situation seems to change there daywise, end of april someone in alltrails posted that the hike was safe and a lot of Police/Military keep the situation unser Control.

1 clean shower stall. Starts at $1.75 for 3 minutes. Open 24 hours. Looks like they also have an on-call seamstress but I didn’t use that.

Water Spigots at dump station but also at campsites. I would use the ones closest to the pavilion. They turn off the water for half the campground.

There's a separate $28 utility fee you're supposed to pay on top of the $10 day pass. It is on an honor system, and in this instance I have been dishonorable.

Stayed there overnight and didn't have any problem. Some teenagers stayed pretty late and were noisy but since we were next to the beach, the ocean waves gave a good background noise so it wasn't too bad. There's a public washroom in the parking lot that's accessible during day time (from about 7am to about 8-9pm) which was a nice bonus.

friendly, but do not try to bribe them. they got really angry.

Besides the Visa you need the lassé passé to enter, which you can only get in the ambassy office from Mister Pierre (+224 622004068) in Ñ'zérékoré. They told us that to buy a bicycle cause we did not have any vehicle. We ended up finding another traveller with a car and entered with him. Payed 300 000 each for the laissez passer.

Located on the west side of the parking lot just before you get on the entry ramp.
It offers one dump hole and one NON-potable water spigot.

As this is off the main road towards Matswere, traffic noise is muted. Turn off the sign that says marketing and wood, and right along the road on the left is a flat sandy clearing we used to camp. Zero people passed.

Stayed here for 2 night. Really big open parking lot and no one bothered me. I left my sliding door open to my van during the evenings to enjoy the beautiful view of the sunset over the great Mississippi River. This place is under construction but the parking lot is still open to campers. I didn't have any problems the entire time I stayed here. Storms were brutal but other then that it was nice. I will definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

We stored out landcruiser here for 3 years during the pandemic. They do not have under cover storage, only outdoors (not sure about less tall vehicles).
After 3 years everything was as we left it, they even tried to start her occasionally until the battery died. Oswaldo speaks English and was super friendly and helpful - we checked in on WhatsApp occasionally to check on her.

Absolutely worth it coming here. Through the water you can walk into the canyon and that probably for very far. We did it like the locals. Bring food and do a Picknick at every "bathable" spot. Don't expect swimming just some dipping. Refreshing and good for the hot hours.

Near «Carrefour Sogafrique», opposite Hotel Masuku. Here, you can apply for your Congolese visa. Friendly staff. They can even recommend you a taxi driver to pick you up in Kabala and drive you as far as Oyo.

Wifi worked fine, all good but if you get there late (or wake up too early), you can go just in front, there is an open Wifi called Dogwood, at a government building for transportation. (And fast!)
PS: a caretaker said I could pitch my tent behind the College, which I did, close to the outside plugs on top of that

Yes there still is free coffee here! It’s actually the first thing they tell you as you enter haha. As a cold cyclist I felt like in paradise. They also have wifi if you ask and generally saying they’re just super nice. Far from the impersonal cold people you usually get in remote petrol stations. I can only recommend to at least get a coffee and have a look at all that jade!

this spot is directly off the freeway, but it has great forest feels. when you turn off it says no campers, RVs, or tent camping. then there is a lot to the left without signage. lovely walking paths around the river.

Fantastic spot, very quiet and grassy. Only 3,5 kilometers from road but the unpaved road is completely ok. The owner took time to show us the hippopotamus in the river. Hot water in the bathrooms is up and down, sometimes yes, sometimes no. We spent first one night and we came back a couple of days later for another night.
