This place is a hidden gem! It’s a quiet and relatively secluded area perfect for some last-minute overnight camping. The county road it’s near also doesn’t have much traffic. Like a previous user said, there were no signs prohibiting overnight parking or camping.

The place to be before or after crossing the border. Nelson and Kattie were so kind and welcoming. lot of trees with, oranges, avocado, lemon, mangos that you can take for free!!!

What a great experience there, we planned to stay one night, de finally spent 4 :-)

As previously stated, signs in parking lot allow maximum 48 hours parking for RVs. I chose a spot alongside the building on the far side of the interstate and the highway noise was more or less white noise at night. An undisturbed night’s sleep. 3-4 bars VZN 5G.

Works as described, but the GPS coords are a little off so check your map.

No shade and windy, but great views of Colorado River and quiet.

Lovely guesthouse with great view of the castle. 35 Lari per person, breakfast was 15L per person and dinner 20L. We had the breakfast and it was delicious and huge, we were invited in for some vodka, beer and a few nibbles after we returned from dinner out and saw what the dinner would have been and we regret not taking that option, but it was also nice to see the town. Parking is secure for 2 large motorcycles, they allowed us to stay with 3 dogs but weren't sure about it, in the end we were allowed to have them in the room but not on the furniture, fairly typical, but we carry our own bedding anyway so if they do get up it's not a problem. A little expensive but worth it and we justified with wild camping either side. It's a lovely town to visit and worth staying central. Highly recommended. it's not signposted, it's at the top of the hill next to a small synthetic football/basketball court, double garage with gate on the left, ring the bell or just walk in, they have a dog who greets you. Amazing site that’s pretty easy to get to- a good amount of potholes but easily passable in any vehicle if you go slow. Big spot, could fit 3-4 vehicles/tents and it’s right on the water with a view of the sisters

Great place to stop for the night, or and extended stay. The campground is $25 a night. The showers and laundry are located near the camp store, so you could totally get away with parking in the lot and showering/doing laundry. They also have portable water fill-up, a gray water dumping area and air for your tires.

Tioga State Forest- mountain trails spike camp

Permits required. Website says they need a 3-day lead time on permits, but I called the office and was told they can actually do same day. We got a permit through online application within about an hour. Lots of campsites available. Pets allowed under control.

We followed GPS coordinates from the state forest maps to the approximate location of the campsite. We didn’t find any labeled spots, but found a wide open area to pull car in and camp. Lovely large spot just off a forest road. Trails nearby. Babbling brook and lots of birdsong. Spent three nights without seeing a single car or other person.

Propane refill was smooth; service was good and very professional. Unfortunately the server went down mid-fill so had to wait to pay with CC but cash was no problem.

Nice fairly quiet campground. Some street off in the distance, but not bad. $14 a night. Plenty of potable water and hose bibs to fill your tank. Verizon internet works pretty good, slow during mid day for some reason. Phone works good. Nice view of lake and mountains. A lot of jet skis on the weekends but almost have the place to myself on Monday. They will come to your site and dump your sewer for $15. Not a lot of shade, but some. A nice breeze the two days I was here.

Nice, clean place. 7 night max. Vault toilet. Beautiful views. Trails are mostly smaller OHV but can hike some. Town is just a few minutes away. Easy to access for our 26’ class C.

Open and running. Well maintained. Short walk to the sea. Clean, hot showers. Restaurant, Bar and swimmingpools. Close to Maputo. Nice place for a long holiday.

We arrived a day early and checked into one of their standard rooms which was fine but then we moved to one of their deck rooms which are a bit more spacious and have a wee cupboard and a nicer bathroom.

Plenty of blankets - we arrived after a huge storm in the CKGR so the temperature dropped but we were fine in our beds. The site is lovely - lots of lovely trees and many birds flurrying about.

The staff here are clearly absolutely focused on ensuring the guests have a good time - as it was chillier than normal they got a huge fire going which was lovely. The kitchen really go the extra mile - we enjoyed the burgers, the fillet steak and the fish. Don’t miss the flapjacks for breakfast!

There seemed to be a huge party going on the weekend but it was quiet on Sunday night and Monday night.
