We were looking for a place to stay overnight and made two nights because it is such a wonderful place! Eva and Diogo made us feel most welcome and we had a really good time talking to them. They are so friendly, we have to thank! And also the surroundi g is just lovely with this small river, the little waterfall, a beach and stones to sit on. There are Sone hammocks as well. And of course beautiful wildlife. We highly recommended this place for being in nature and relax. At the weekends you will have a lot of company, we enjoyed being there during weekdays😄

Very nice view. Directly to the left of the campground is a good unpaved path. About 100m in, right on the river. Only suitable for a maximum of van.
We stay overnight with a campfire (barrel available) and a great sunset.

We went here for WiFi. Great connection, we ordered a coffee. The people were very nice. Also a cute shop. The next day we took some soda in the shop and they let us fill up our van on drinking water. This is NOT a public WiFi spot or refill station, so be respectful and also pay for some drinks/food/groceries/souvenirs!

Very quiet place we spend the night with other ioverlanders... Some kids came at night to play some music but the left very early before we went yo bed. Even the community police came and give us their numbers in case we need anything. Felt very safe and quiet ! We recommend this place!

The entrance still 11$ Soles per person. Beautiful views but we didn't see much wild life. Maybe the season... The scenery is cool but you can do it in one morning... half day ... We found the coast line down south more impressive than this place. But that is our opinion and still beautiful place! We entered with our dogs ....there is no sign of forbidden or anything.....we didn't ask either....

Group of restaurant....NOT a Fisherman's village! There are people trying to make you to come to this restaurant. We don't know others but we kind of hate this way of ad. So we decided to go the one who nobody bother so much ! And it was the best ! Very friendly staff and the food was amazing! We don't remember the name but in tripadvisor you will find it ...is the restaurant with the better comment and stars!

They did not issue comesa for our foreign (Czech) car, only the local insurance. We are still waiting for a refund of the comesa part, as they told us they cannot issue it two days later, when we came again.
It seems that there was some legislation change and they don't want to issue comesa to foreign cars, we ran into similar problem on the Kenya-Uganda border (four days later).

We slept 3 nights in this place. Next to the yacht club. Safe, although very noisy on weekends. At the firefighters' cartel they lent us electricity 220v and water. excellent spot

Dormimos 3 noches en este lugar. Al lado del club náutico. Seguro, aunque muy ruidoso en los fines de semana. En el cartel de bombeiros nos prestaron electricidad y agua. excelente spot.

The parking lot is big and quiet at night. Nobody was around when we arrived around 8pm and until the morning. Beautiful beach. At around 8am some old people come to the beach for a walk. Felt very safe.

many options for many different kinds of rigs, the little cabin is cool, if you're in the lot up top, the road now is kind of a lot, but we were fine here for a few days with friends, the lot is massive. the creek is beautiful but cold, great place to stage for multi day excursions into Crater lake without having to plan way in advance. AT&T was okay here. no t mobile or Verizon.

We parked there for 20 minutes at 5pm to check out from our stay and 10 minutes in we heard an alarm of a car, it turned out someone broke one of our windows. Fortunately nothing was stolen because nothing was easily accessible. Not safe to park your car in this neighbourhood, a neighbor told us that even for 5 minutes people could still break into your car and steal.

3 nights at Hackberry Flat, close to the reservoir. Shallow area for kids to swim. Full hookup at #82 flat, all dirt except pad.

Just north of Oakdale, CA

Nice bike rides around the campground, geese flying over morning and night and some ducks. Busy on the weekend and music into the night.

We stayed in the second spot on the left. It was a great spot with lots of room to get level in our van. Unfortunately there is a lot of traffic until about midnight. We also had around 10 cars attempt to drive up into our campsite. They were normal cars not camping type rigs so we assumed it’s locals looking to party. They were all nice but we would not return. If you need a place to sleep it’s great but not a place to chill at camp peacefully.

This place was recommended to me because they say they have cheap food. The cheapest were fries for 4000 CLP. The music was very loud and was a Youtube playlist from ABBA to Red Hot Chili Peppers and other mainstream pop. Unfortunately, that doesn't fit the Peruvian ambience of the restaurant at all. My meal was very good, it was a hamburger for 6000 CLP. There is live music here some days.
Compared to other places in Chile it is very expensive.

Little spot just near the road, can fit 2 little vans or cars, one spot can be hid from the road the other one not. Not too much road noise. One fire ring (was full of garbage when we arrived, we cleaned it...). Perfect for one night before or after visiting Hoh Rainforest.

Just wanted to add that it's now 650 if you buy a ticket online, and 750 at the cash desk. Parking is 150 per day. Pets are allowed for another 100, you don't have to put your dog in a crate. And you have to pay some kind of port/tourist tax which was 25 pp and 54 for a pet.

As described. Bonus is a viewing spot for grizzlies that pass through fairly regularly during salmon spawning (September). We saw several during the two days we spent here. And the viewing spot is beautiful and shaded. A very peaceful place to just hang out watch fish jump, even if no bears cruise by.
