bethany.rose1615 | This hotel is great! We paid 65 soles for a matrimonial room after bargaining. It’s the cheapest we found with car storage. They just opened 3 weeks ago and are continually adding new perks. There’s a big open grass patio/yard where you can park for free. There’s a covered area with tables and chairs, hammocks, darts, foosball, tv, sofas, etc. Theres an open air kitchen you can use. The shower is electric and warm. The bed wasn’t great but they say they are in the process of replacing them. Owners are super nice! They say they’ll be putting in a pool, too. And they’ll be adding wifi. |

j_desjardins | Loop B (lake front) is better than loop A, primitive sites are not as nice, close to the road and far from loop A for closest bathroom. 25$ for hook-up/17$ primitive +tx. Check-in with ranger at visitor center. Nice bathrooms/showers with cheap laundry. Nothing much to do around. The state park road is under construction use detour on Tate road! |

BTL | Epic 4x4 track from Barreirinhas to Atins! We did the track by ourselves in our Toyota Land Cruiser beginning of November (dry season) and it was perfectly doable. Sand is super soft, but with tires down to 16 psi, it went smoothly. Barely any water crossings this time of year. The tracks are a bit of a maze to follow (which is why people recommend taking a guide), but if you download the Wikiloc tracks in advance, you can easily do it yourself! Make sure to download the right track (it’s the one going in a more or less straight line along the park border). The other routes go through the park which is unfortunately prohibited for private vehicles. |

¡Mucha gratitud! |

brink299 | as described, a great place to camp. we easily got our 20 ft trailer in and parked for a week. if you look on satellite view Google maps it also comes up as a dispersed site and you can see the ground, most of it flat, we had no problem. we unhitched and visited the attractions around Alamogordo with no worry about leaving the camper behind. it's a nice little community of travelers. most people, all in vastly different rigs, stayed for a few days or more. one guy has been here for almost a month. state park campground down the road makes it so easy to fill up water there and has a nice little hike, 5$ day use. nobody bothered us, we did see a rattler on our first day, big sucker too. just be alert if you have dogs, which many people did. |

hakunamatatxelmundo | We slept here 3 nights. Very quiet and safe place. The first night we went to eat to Minuteman, excellent pizza 👌 so we use this wifi all the time. |

dougsurfspr | Don’t use these coordinates. Do a Google maps search for DIAN. It’s a couple of blocks over. There is no street parking for DIAN so you’re going to have to find a parqueadero nearby. No appointment necessary, but the front door guard might give you an argument. Be sure to ask where the Aduana portion of building is. There’s a very nice lady on the second floor that has worked with tourists. Her name is Yazmin Eugenio Ortiz(I added a photo of her name). She will do EVERYTHING for you in the system. When we were finished she gave us the name and phone number of another lady that was to inspect our vehicle. Her name is Lina Marcela Ramirez. She works in another part of town about 30 minutes away. I have added a photo of her name and address. Luckily she was able to do it the same day, because the next day she was going on vacation for a week. So it’s best to start this whole process early in the week and early in the morning. May take a few days or even a week. Your only option to extend your TIP heading south is at the border I think. Good luck! |

mmq-photography.com | Very nice campsite a bit outside of the town. You can use the bus to the town, which runs every 30 minutes until ~10 pm in the evening. All facilities as described. Wifi is not the most reliable, as usual, but it exists and has an acceptable speed. There is the opportunity for some walks right outside, for example down to the river. We paid 3.500 ARS for 2 persons and a camper, quite expensive, but I guess that's Ushuaia 😬 However I don't recommend the place as they rented their community room for a party, so we had noise from 10 pm to ... We left in the middle of the night. It really is a disgrace, to expose campers that want to sleep and pay a lot of money for the campground, ON PURPOSE to such noise, in order to maximize profit! |
