Near Joshua Tree NP. Have to book on Recreation.gov, a little pricey at $25/night, no Wi-Fi. Found out later there’s beautiful BLM land nearby on I10.

End of the unpaved road. Nice spot which overlooks on the valley. View of Cotopaxi when clear. Orange waterfall and not so warm hot springs near by. Half way to here there is a chain which is apparently open from 8 to 14, we arrived later and the guy in the house next to the chain opened it for us after a little discussion. A path goes up to the Illinizas from here, nice but not always easy to follow. Road to here is in pretty bad conditions, no need for 4wd but for clearance yes. Wouldn’t come with a van or something bigger.

We were 3 motorhomes together and we had a very quiet night sleep. Il’s a gravel rv parking in front of the visitor centre parking. Not level but not too bad. We will come back!

The best place to camp till now in Angola! A little paradis, beautiful flowers, pineapple, papaya. We could stay on a hill with great view. We eat on the restaurant, it's was delicious. We stayed 2 nights and paid 6000 kw for 2 people and car pro night.

Bellísimo lugar para pasar la tarde y noche entre montañas y causes de agua, contemplar las estrellas con un cielo muy limpio, se pueden realizar caminatas a las montañas cercanas, en noviembre mucha agua.

Possibility to camp here if you are running out of sunlight and you don't want to pay the hotel in Chendi. The place is not ideal : lots of spikes, private property (owner is very kind though) and close to the road. But it was a relief to find something in this heavely farmed land.

Nice Hotel, very safe - 24 hour reception. Town centre, secure parking, inside for motorcycles. $477Mx for large room with 2 beds, excellent air conditioning, fridge and good shower. Hot and cold drinking water on all floors.

Dit is een mooie ruim opgezette camping met goede voorzieningen. Voor 2 volwassenen en een camper vroeg de beheerder 4000 peso per nacht. We kregen de prijs niet lager dan 3000 peso. We waren de enige gasten.

From Turkey to Iran.
Border crossing opens at 9am. But it‘s better to come early otherwise the queue will be very long. (We arrived at 7am and there already were a lot of minibuses waiting in line - the vibe was very intense and angry because of the long waiting times - some of the minibuses already waited 1 day. You really have to fight for your spot in the line).
Once you arrive at the turkish police & customs everything is quite straightforward. Not really fast but okay. (As a tourist car also the passenger can stay in the car they told us.)
At the iranian side everything is quite chaotic. Long waiting times. Many people and baggage around. No real system.
(The day we crossed the border the vibe was very aggressive at the iranian side - we saw several small fist fights. But everybody was very respectful and friendly towards us. The soldiers were very happy to see tourists.
Also at the iranian side is no need to be separated in driver and passenger - just stay in the car.
After the first car check one soldier went with us to the passport and visa control. He had to use a electro teaser to calm down the other people. He managed to guide us through the crowd and to get our visa stamps very fast.
Then we returned to the car and drove to the customs. There the car was checked again - but again only for like 5 seconds.
A fixer and one of the custom staff worked on our Carnet de Passages. They knew exactly what to do. We had to do a car insurance directly at the border - otherwise they couldn‘t do our CDP. The insurance was about 20€ for 15 days.
Take the help of a fixer - he will guide you through the different small yellow houses and will organize everything for you. Without fixer it can be very very chaotic.)
We also changed money directly at one of the fixers at the border - we changed Turkish Lira to Iranian Rial. It was a good rate.
It took us 2h for waiting + 2,5h for the border crossing process.
The border crossing at iranian side is under construction in some parts - it can be very very difficult to drive there with a big motorhome or truck.

Let me pitch my tent under a roof and even take a shower. Very friendly firemen. (Cyclist)

A fantastic small museum (just one room) with a huge array of masked and sculptures from around West Africa. It was a really informative visit learning tonnes about the process of mask making, reasons and history. The host is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. We can't recommend highly enough if you're in the area. 2000cfa per person and payed after we went round. If you have a bigger car it's worth following the signs from east as Google can take you through some pretty low lying electrical cables.

We tried to stay here but the gates are locked.

We stayed here for one night as the other camping was closed. We liked it! It wasnt that expensive and they have a good restaurant and you can use the fire place for free. Very friendly stuff!

This is a great choice if you’re intimidated by the parking/driving situation in Manhattan. Quiet residential street, close to a church and school. No “no” signs. 3 blocks from the Staten Island ferry terminal, where you can catch a free (!) and see the Statue of Liberty during your 25-min ride to Manhattan

Incredible views! full bars att. Several spots with fire rings. Got a beautiful few inches of snow overnight.

Stayed there for one night after getting off the midnight ferry. Does the job, didn't get bothered and pretty calm.

Quite little place off the highway, good place to relax for a couple of days. Stayed here with my tent and dog no issues and lots of places to walk around. Water did t look good to swim, but a lot of people fishing.
