This looks like it has potential. I scouted it out on Gaia and used satelite. I have not been there but I marked it on my maps

large campground, very quiet now. electricity, banks and bbq at the sites. clean bathrooms with toilets and sinks. douches close at night. Lots of trees and nice views on the impressive rocks of the Chubut canyon. There is a pool and a kiosk which are closed now. telephone coverage but no internet on the campsite. walk over the bridge for the village. there is a restaurant in the village with wifi.

Sabine gave us a warm welcome. You have everything you need here. A hot shower (very clean), a very clean bathroom, water and electricity. Around the place there are fields and you can see all the way to Oaxaca and the mountains. We wanted to stay only 2 days and stayed 4 days. Here you can relax. Beautiful. Thank you Sabine

This is where some tourist buses park overnight. Popular spot for overlanders as well since it’s proximity to the historic center. Free and save

Huge flat area perfect for camping and big rigs. Near the river, lots of campfires, it seems people camp here all the time.

We slept here in our truck because of a ranger strike, the campground Westwinds, the Information Center and the Administration was striked that day and all that was closed.
Toilets here have been dirty, shelters are very nice and windprotectet. Nice view but the Lagoon was with low water. Not good leveled

lots of machines. Washers start at $2.50 and dryers are now 25 cents per 5 minutes. Has bathrooms and showers. not too busy when we did our laundry.

We met Jorge at this location and he provided a tour to the “ hole in the ground” Hoyo del Aire” and cave Cueva del Molino.

You might find the hole on your own but it’s “very” doubtful you will find the caves and/ or it’s inner reaches.

Jorge speaks passable English and is a delight to be around. Our tour lasted 3 hours and the cost was $30. Well worth the money.

40 Km before (of after if you came from Guinea) the border, here it is the place to stamp your CPD. Very friendly officer who knows perfectly the way to fill it !

We stopped here at the end of the day and asked if could spend the night here in our campervan. They immediately said yes and even offered us a room that we politely declined. We had access to a toilet and a shower. (Very clean). We parked the car inside the monastery. (big rigs okay). Secured gate. They offered us to have dinner with them.
Very nice brothers and a quite place to stay if you are on your way to Douala.

Bush Buck camp is on a farm with neat clean hot water ablutions.A place to wash dishes. There is a small water hole with lots of birds life.We did a lovely nature walk. Scott is an amazing host that goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. Helping in every way he can.We spent 3 peaceful days here resting up.

One of the most unique places I've ever camped. This iOverlander pin is centered on Green River Launch Pad #1, the concrete slab in front of the large open building with the garage style door. I was going to camp at the next spot (outside the gates, on top of the hill) but found it to be a bit
too windy). The semi-paved road to get here is potholed in spots, so it pays to go slow. Any vehicle should be able to make it. Tons of level camping options for my skoolie. Undeniably creepy but also really fascinating to wander around the abandoned buildings. Heavy winds and loose metal bits slapping around woke me up at night, but other than that it was a great place to stay. No one else here... dead silent at night.

stayed the second night here although flooded parking lot-town.I do not get the 'good vibe' nentioned by some1 b4.there was actually someonebehind the fence, the 2 nights,made me feel 'observed'.there s no real reason to be in town beside going to the island.4 nights a week loud music/party til late!!3am..

We took the dirt road here to get to Punta Prieta in our 2WD Econoline. The road is pretty bad and we almost couldn't make it up the hill here on our way out. Couldn't get up it in D but took a second shot in low gear and just barely made it. Seems like the road is in worse condition after the storms a few weeks ago. The campsite is beautiful though!

Big auto mechanic who will help you out with general maintenance of your van. We got an oil change, filter change and new brake pads (we already had all the parts and oil with us). Helped us out in a couple of hours.

Passamos uma noite neste bonito e tranquilo lugar durante a semana em baixa temporada. Sem estrutura.

Very nice place to stay, close to the N5 but far enough to be very quiet. Really nice people around. Many came just for having selfies with us. We played during all the afternoon with lovely children. They were really happy to see travelers. Just ask the permission to stay if you see someone before crossing the river. ONLY 4X4 (bad road and river crossing)
