Camping near to Manim Waterfall, in a cover place to do picnics, with eletric Energy. Next to a public bathroom with shower.
I asked permission to the snack bar and they said that's no problem camp here, and gave me the wifi password.

Stopped here between the Ngoma border crossing and Divundu. We visited the traditional village for 200N$ pp, and spent about 1.5 hours here. It was nice, they showed us traditional crafts and fire making, along with a few songs.

RV Repair Shop that can help you with your camping set up, electrical equipment, tents and much more.
We got our electrical issues fixed and a lot of nice tips for our Route further north on top.
Daniel the owner is really friendly and nice. He knows the area really well and can direct you to the right places or people.

This is in a couple of huts on the side of the road at 2300m of altitude.
2 huts are open and it’s possible to shelter by putting the tent inside. Perfect for us in November with the snow and the bikes.
You save at least 10 degrees as you are sheltered from the wind and you have a roof if it rains.
Basically an elevated wood platform with a roof and 3,5 walls around.

Nice place to stay in Dakar if you need to do some random stuff in a big city (car reparation, cdp stamped, medication, ...). The owners (family owned bisness) are super nice, very friendly, the rooms are clean, with efficient AC. There is place outside to park your rig, the neighborood is super safe.
There is a nice terasse on the roof where you can have a beer bought at the hôtel for 1000 CFA. WIFI didnt work but wathever, its Dakar.
We paid 20 euros a night. Worth it.

Finding the place is a bit tricky though, you need to take a gravel road on the left when you exit the highway and keep going until you rich a pink building.

Paid 150Q. Not cheap but everything was very clean and safe. Staff friendly. Could get towels, water and so. Showers, wc, pool and WiFi for use incl.
We were tired of driving more up to the next spot towards the border due to heavy traffic jam.
Nice restaurant on spot as well if you want to spend even more ;)

Pretty accurate description from OP. We came in in the dark and went past the little dirt road. It’s across from the Poland water plant.

We stayed to the right. If you go all the way down there is what appears to be a fire pit.

It’s pretty private towards the back but the road is well traveled with lots of trucks entering the plant across the street. Great for a single night.

Very nice hike! We have done the first 4 miles of Sand Canyon Trail in 4 hours and half with lunch break (14km). If you want you can continue 2 other miles to climb the hill. During all the hike you can see Pueblo houses in the cliff. From the parking there are 2 other loops, there are certainly also very nice.

We were warmly welcomed by Grant and Sarah. They let us feel at home!
Perfect location since you can easily walk to the village for some wine tastings:)
We ended up having with beer around the fire sharing stories.
Definitely recommended if you are in the area!

we put our tent in some grassy area next to the lake. we ask the gard where we could put our tent, he said that it was not safe near the lake but that we could camp here without problem.
we are just in front of the bungalow, there is BBQ you can use, water they said it's potable and garbage bin.
we (unfortunately) forgot to ask about the toilet.
some people stayed here in the afternoon but we were alone after the sunset.
nice spot!!

Exactly as described. Very nce and modern dive centre, Marco speaks perfectly english. During this season dive centre is open only on weekends, but you are able to get a room for a night here. Price (nov 2022) is 10.000 Kwanza, well worth as it seemed to me the best safest spot from all recommended on iOverlander. First wanted to sleep in my camper at the parking place near the restaurant, but it didn't feel safe enough.
###up to date the price for a night 8.000.kz for One person camping, and for a single dive os 35.000.00kz double dive is 30.000.00 kz
###10.000. is for single person sleeping at the rooms , couple os 20.000.00kz

A good workshop. Ask for Fabian, he knows a lot. When we came for a problem with overheating on the steep ascent of the road to the mountains he offered to come with us and see the problem. He spent one hour with us in the mountains too figure out the problem and in the end charged us only 8 USD for the part, that had to be replaced. We gave him a good tip

Nelson is an honest and very nice mechanic! he will do his best to help you and does not abuse the nationality of foreigners. he let us live at his place (in his garage) while the car was being repaired. Sometimes he has time, sometimes not at all. Take the trouble to go see him to find out if he can help you.

beautiful rocky spot on the bank of the river. as previous description says, it's extremely easy to miss the turn off, its immediately past the bridge as you're headed into Oark. you can turn left or right to get to the riverbank, we turned right and would not have made it in or out if it wasn't for 4x4 and high clearance, my girlfriend went and explored the other side and said it would have been much easier in/out on that side but I can't say for myself. when pulling in, there was about an 8 inch drop from the paved road to the dirt and small mud pits you need 4x4 to get through to get down to the bank. my advice is to GET OUT and look before making the turn off of the highway to see if your vehicle can make it. getting in was fine but getting out took a couple of tries and wouldn't have happened if I was in a 2wd truck. other than that, beautiful spot, stopped and cooked dinner, would have stayed overnight but it was still early in the say so we knocked a couple of more hours of driving out but will definitely stay overnight if passing through again. also note; our GPS took us down a CR into the middle of nowhere and said our destination was in someones field, it wasn't a big deal but definitely double check where your GPS says to go because this is right next to the highway

Very quiet campground, only about four campers there mid-week. The staff were very nice. The bathrooms were clean and the Park is well kept. Some trees but for thoughs of us who are using Starlink a clear view of the sky is helpful.
