They were very nice. They took away our peppers. Otherwise, it was just: no fruit, meat and cheese. Butter and cucumber and zucchini were okay.

Beautiful view at this free campsite. There’s a fire ring as well as signs stating to pack out what you pack in. The road was tricky but we were able to do it in a van. Please help keep this place clean!

Typical Walmart. Some light traffic all throughout the night, but mostly quiet. Plenty of space to not be right on top of each other.

Pay at the casino, $20 for a 1-3 night stay. It is a large quite parking lot atop a small hill. There is water. But the sign in the field next door read " hazardous materials" so we opted not to use it.

We drove down to the riverbed. There you can get a bucket shower in a small side arm from the river. Close to the road. But there is a flat area and the noise is not disturbing

6 soles per person, nice views from the tower. Good stop for 15 minutes

20 soles to spend the night, quiet place. Toilets closed during the night. Oasis of Huacachina not worth to visit, to crowded and to touristic.

Stayed here one night. Over night parking is definitiv possible here. Nice view, but unfortunately a few locals hanging around with loud music till late.

We spent 3 nights at #3. The site is also accessible for large vehicles, do not follow the route proposed by MapsMe but stay on the main track from the Wasa lodge. Always straight and if in doubt take the right track. Camping is $25 from October to December and $15 off season, per person. It is necessary to add 185 kw pp and per day and 277.50 kw per day for the vehicle of access rights to the park.
Leave the park before 9:00 am to avoid paying an extra day.

Crossed from CR to PA with truck & dog. Went around 1PM. There was a bit of a line but we were flagged ahead. We didn't get any paperwork in CR for dog because it seemed like a giant scam to me as we had current US paperwork. Bit of a risk but they didn't really seem to care. Made a few phone calls, charged us $25. I think it helped that it was close to when they closed and they wanted to go home.

Everyone else's instructions are correct. Definitely do the exit tax online, the guy at the hardware store just pulls up the website and enters the information for you and takes a picture of the confirmation screen with your phone. Nice guy though. Also no one actually asked us to see it.

Directions:
CR Emigration is actually down this rock/dirt road that kind of seems like you shouldn't be driving on it. As you enter town you T into the Panama Immigration building, turn right there and follow the road until you see the fence on your left. They want you to park there so they can see your vehicle.

Seguro/Insurance - This building is more or less across the street from the yellow Copies sign (which is where you can get copies done) As you enter town you take a right at the T. The "office" is down a little side street on the left, the first you come to. It's about three structures in, also on the left. It's a very small building with a single person in it.

PA Customs - The all green building slightly to the left of the T coming into town.
Aduana - Another greenish building to the right of the T coming into town and behind the fence. At least when we were there, you have to sort of snake around the little fumigation area past some cones and around the fence. It doesn't really look like you're supposed to be there.

We went to PA customs, who sent us to Aduana, who then sent us to get photocopies and insurance and back to customs who stamped us and then sent us back to Aduana. You could save a lot of time by clearly knowing where things are and following everyone else's order of operations.

Make a copy of the suspended/canceled Costa Rican TIP. That's the only thing you can't make a copy of beforehand.

We slept here one night. It’s not the best place that we ever stayed, but it’s a good option for sleep in the town. Noisy but safe.

We filled our watertanks (around 60 l). Freandly atmosphere. Also english speaking stuff there. We payed 25 CFA/l. If you have a meber-refill-card it costs 18 CFA/l.

They have a filter system. You get there good drinking water.

Passamos uma noite na praça antes de atravessar a fronteira. Locais se encontram na praça para bater papo e escutar muita até tarde da noite, mas no me incomodou. Quarta-feira.

We did the tour, tasting and had dinner here. The tour was interesting but rather short, tasting was 2200AP and the wine not very good, for our taste. The food was excellent gourmet kitchen. We came again just to eat.

Good and cheap local food. Terrasse and take away.

Looks like a run down beach bar where a few locals sell soft drinks. You can also drive further on the desert beach and find a spot anywhere.
Deep sand. We parked a few meters away from the sea….

Very nice place, garage 24hrs for 20 soles, WC free, shower 4 soles, near station train. Americo the owner is good man.

Nice campground. Not easy to find, but very good to overnight by the way back from the south to Santiago.

Camping na fazenda Porto seguro no Parque Nacional do Catimbau, quem cuida do camping é o pessoal do Guia de Montanha ( são guias aqui no Vale do Catimbau ). Tem espaço pra Motorhome prox ao Hostel ou de barraca de chão prox ao mirante. Lugar Incrível.

Spend one night here. It’s 50 pesos person to see the waterfall and 35 pesos per person to overnight on the grass parking lot.
There are some toilets and a tap to refill your water tank for free.
Big rig and dog friendly.
3 bars of 3G to 1 bar of 4G telcel. There is some free wifi where you buy your ticket to overnight (just ask the guard and he will give you some access)

I entered from 395 and found one good spot. Road is sand with gravel. Good Verizon service. Road noise, otherwise a great spot.

Really nice and organized place. Lots of shade, water point, lights during the night. It’s really close to the road, because of this, a little noise at night. Free.

Lugar agradável e bem organizado. Bastante sombra, ponto de água, e luzes durante a noite. É bem próximo à estrada, por isso existe um pouco de barulho durante a noite. De graça :)

The dump station and fresh water spigot is actually outside the campground on the way to a trail head. Dump and water is free !

Very cool spot, very worth the drive. Secluded, quiet-except the water running. And tranquil describes it!!

Wonderful place to base camp for seeing Santa Fe. $25 for bunk, starting at $35 for private room. First come, first serve. Cash only, 2-night minimum stay. Big rig friendly either ask if you can park in the lot or around back side on street. Bus stops right by to take you to historic downtown. Amazing staff and plenty of free food!
