We didn’t sleep here, had lunch here and packed our bags for a hike here. Beautiful spot at the river, nice for a (cold;) dip in the water. We got easily through the small river with our Mercedes Vito van. You can stay before the small river crossing, but when you cross there is a small leveled area with grass and shade from a tree (and an old firepit, bit won’t make fires in this dry area). Only it’s horsefly season now and there are many under the tree.. no connection with Movistar.

Price is now $18. On a Sunday morning there was a bit of a wait. They are okay with two people sharing a shower and did not mention a time limit. The stalls include a toilet, sink, and towels!

We asked in town where we could camp and they sent us here. It’s called La Higuera. Its a park by the Higuera river with some benches and lots of flats spots to camp. Nice and quiet spot, we brought our water but you could filter from the river. It was free

Beautiful beach camping! I highly recommend this place if you don’t mind the sound of dune buggies running all night (until about 11:00pm). Beautiful moonlight/sunrise views. If you are not a dune buggy enthusiasts I do not recommend this place.

Beautiful and very large sandy beach. Really nice place. As previous visitors reported, there are a lot of children, but there we're nice and left when it was dark. The problem in our case was that there were a few young adult men asking for money in a very demanding way, apparently drunk. They didn't left when it got dark and hung around just 1m of our tent and bikes until pretty late. They told us before that they will eat our food while we are swimming. Finally they left and there was no theft, but still we regretted coming here. Couldn't really enjoy the otherwise incredible beautiful beach.

Small campground in Apalachicola national Forest near Bristol, Florida. 10 campsites, half with water and electric. Restrooms and showers are clean and spacious, and ADA compliant. Camel Lake is adjacent to the campground, with a small beach and 1.5 mile walking trail around the lake. The Florida Trail crosses just behind the campground.
The campsite are level, with some shade, picnic tables, fire rings, and big enough for larger RVs. Best proof trash cans are scattered around the campground. Sites are close together, within view and ear shot of one another.
Self pay envelopes for those without reservations, however, it was full for my 2 night stay. Suggest making reservations online.

Stayed here for the night. Coordinates are not accurate so read further on the instructions. We didn’t have trouble where we stayed because it was technically still BLM land.

Will have to rename this spot Wigglebutt because we woke up to about 10 signs that someone placed overnight that said “Beware of the Wigglebutt”. Not sure who left it but sure did spook us a bit.

We did get a visit from a local who told he manages cows on the 300,000 of acres of land. Wasn’t sure if his was vibe was to tell us to leave but did say we weren’t welcome unless we smoked weed. 🤷‍♀️

We also forgot to bring firewood with us but we’re able to forage broken branches in the surrounding area. For some weird reason every time I found a glass beer bottle there was a bundle of loose branches to be burned. Thanks to whoever left those clues.

About 10 trucks, 2 RVs that look to be living there and 6 car sleepers. Felt completely safe and it was super quiet. Highly recommend this spot for a quick overnight. Nice big open area for dogs to run too.

Lovely campsite, lush and green, fireplace, washing up/prep sink and station, picnic tables. Ablution block is fine with western toilet and hot water morning and evening from a donkey boiler. superb hike to a lovely waterfall and then up to the first camp stop if you are climbing Mt Kenya, about 4.5 hours in total 800ksh pp for guide. Also a shorter walk to a lovely waterfall and pool just by the campsite. Restaurant and bar if needed and occasionally WiFi available at the lodge. Nice temperature during the day and then quite chilly at night. 1000 ksh pppn

Nice place to spend the night. We slept in the car for one night. Friendly welcome, they have place for two or three cars, but not for big trucks. We paid 500 Dalasi for 2 persons and cars including cold shower. Breakfast for 300 Dalasi for one person. Nice, clean Restaurant directly on the water.

Steep good road up pickup camper no problem. But steep public road up to microwave towers. Not private. This is the best spot good for 2 rvs. Many others higher tho.
View at night and morning are spectacular. 2 bars data.

We stayed 3 nights. It was safe, that's about it. Mixed bag of people here. Big surfing community, upscale homeless encampment, patrons for the bar next door and the locals all park here. About 20 rigs set up, some long-timers even have structures built. Evenings are busy with bar goers and sunset watchers, mornings with surfers. Can have 40-50+ vehicles and rigs here in a moment. Nights and hot afternoons are quiet.
