Great camping with good infrastructure, but a little far from the city and they charge 45 reais per person. Ótimo camping com boa infraestrutura, porém um pouco longe da cidade e cobram 45 reais por pessoa. |

Lovely waterfall in a park that you have to pay 500pesos pp to see. Pretty minimal water right now but has a path circuit you walk along. Ending up at the bathrooms, swingset, picnic tables, and small kiosco. Not sure if it is worth it, but a nice place to bring mates 🧉 and relax |

Fomos super bem recebidos! Ficamos no estacionamento do restaurante, que tem um visual lindo da barra do rio. Oferecem água, energia, banheiro (ducha fria), wifi. Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestativos. Voltaríamos com certeza!!
We felt very welcome since our arrival! We stayed in the parking lot of the restaurant, which has a beautiful view of the river. They offer water, energy, bathroom (cold shower), wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely come back!!

It’s a beautiful camping area, maybe the best we have seen in Guatemala, but for us not more than a stopover on our way to Tikal.

Stayed one night, because we couldn’t make it any further. But kind of liked this place. It was 25q/p and you get showers, a pool and a beautiful backyard with a hidden jungle trek and waterfall. Pretty great offer as we paid way more for way less already in Guatemala ;) Jumped into the pool, because it was fun, but liked the waterfall more;) Area in general around here is beautiful, especially the Biotopo de Quetzal next door. Ate at the restaurant also really good price/value. If you have any questions or want to see photos:

This place is amazing! We came to know the hot spring and spend a night, but we stayed here about 5 nights - we always came back after the trekkings to bath in the hot spring, and sleep here! Dona Inês is a lovely person, and sells some products in her house. The thermal is rustic, but with super hot and crystal clear water. The view of volcanoes makes everything even more special. Sleeping here you can still enjoy the pool at night, luckily, alone! We paid 15 Bolivians per person per night - Entel's sign is weak, but Starlink works here.

As described, we came from the East, so had to go past it and do a U-turn to come back to it. The gravel is deep, as noted. |

Nice hotel in Puelches. I've paid 5000 pesos for a private room (one matrimonial bed and one sigle bed), with TV, wifi, toilets and shower. The place was clean and the owner friendly. Would recommand it ! |

We stayed for 10 days. The water spout mentioned in other comments was definitely frozen and buried under snow. Couldn't even find where it was. However James creek is less than 10 minutes away and we got water from there as it's not completely frozen. The camping area isn't huge, just 4 spots for vehicles, but very pretty. |

200 pppn for camping. Bed in dorm 300. Jammed together with other campers half a meter apart. Overall the facilities are nice to relax in. Loud sex from 2-3 am, other campers complained during the night. The staff said that their hands were tied. No discount offered. Even without our one off bad experience it is too expensive for what is offered in my opinion and I would not camp here again. |

Nice Hospedaje with lots of flowers run by a lady. Clean rooms, but no heating. Plenty of blankets are provided though. There is a small courtyard where I parked my Motorcycle but i didn't bother to ask if it is looked. This is a safe area. Showers are hot and the WiFi is fast but only in the common room. |

Rancho San Dionisio isn’t just a great camping spot . . . It’s a destination. A lovely sanctuary in the mountains, alongside the river, at “the end of the road” in authentic ranching country. The hosts have rescued a previously rundown and neglected ranch, the result of a fire years ago. Under their care and hard work it is now flourishing with newly planted banana, mango, avocado and even a few papaya trees. They have also nurtured an impressive huge veggie and herb garden which is open for picking by guests.
