Don't go here if it is raining, the whole place gets flooded, muddy and slippery.

Nice spot, little traffic during the day, none at night.

The house ruins are still here, the white building was relatively clean and there was space to park our motorbikes and pitch the tent inside, it gave us a complete wind protection which made a massive difference for the night.

Corrugated road but it's doable but any decent car and most motorbikes, it's used a lot by locals and lorries. I've seen worse roads around San Antonio.
Be careful there's some sand patches on the way

Very nice and beautiful campground. A bit more expensive (we payed 30000 colones for 2 nights) but if you can efford it you should absolutely do it. Super groomed garden and very good facilities. Would definitely recommend it!

Arrived here about 730 there already are several RVs and large trucks parked for the night. There’s a large lot for RV and bus parking stayed one night at the next morning had no problems

A day pass is $4 with a National Park Pass which gives you access to fresh water, showers and a dump station.

Good size campground right off I-40 (and I mean right off the highway). Nice fully fenced park with lots of grass area to walk the dogs and a fenced dog park for small and large dogs. Playground with lots of space to roam; horseshoes; cornhole; basketball; and live Buffalo! Highway traffic can be heard and there was a helicopter scanning the highway with a search light for an hour at a car show/street racing, but I imagine that’s not a regular thing. We arrived at 8pm and the office was still open until 9! Easy gravel site with shade trees and not super close to neighbor. It appears to have many long term residents and many people walking with dogs at all times of day.

Great spot. Shell team very friendly and they told us where to park overnight.

Not a real camping spot but secure parking inside the lodge walls with guards.

The T2 main road and roads in Nakonde are in a miserable state. Lots of road works going on and hundreds of trucks.

This fabulous little casino offers a FREE overnight RV lot. There is a large gravel lot for RV parking, no hook-ups. To register and get a parking permit, check-in with the hotel reception. There is also a free dump station and potable water (located near the hotel, not in the actual RV lot). There is also a gas station here, with competitive prices. The casino is very clean and non-smoking. There are several restaurants on-site and free coffee and soft drinks. The staff is very friendly! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Nice sites with water, table and fire ring. Had to book it online. $30 a night or half off for disabled.

Parking spot right at the entrance of the Caral Sacred City. We spent the night there and it was pretty quiet. Felt very safe. Toilets were open all night long in case you need it.

Too much noise in the morning from 5h00 AM impossible to sleep.

A number of developed dispersed sites in this area but busy! Pulled in at 6p on a weekday and every site I drove by was full.

Nice little park away where a boat ramp once was. Not for the views but a good place to park and sleep. Baseball field right by it.

Stayed here for one night without any issues. Had 3 bars of 4G LTE. Was windy, but we were fine in our camper van. The river was nice to wash dishes in.

followed directions (turning into woods by cell towers) in a scion tc. don’t think i went as far up the dirt road as the previous traveler, not sure, but i did find a nice little spot for a tent! you can hear some road noise but not much, along with the lake. i’m from a very small town and it didn’t bother me. there was a nice fire pit right outside the woods with a great view of the water :) the only thing i am missing is a hammock, there were 2 trees just perfect to tie one up! Place is clean and beautiful.
You shouldn’t need 4x4, front wheel drive is just fine, but do not drive a low car up here unless you want to snap your back bumper back on after you come back down. lots of rocks and roots in the “road.”
Especially nice being on this side of the lake because you get a great sunset view and the sun came up from behind the woods, less likely to wake up roasting here i’d assume. I visited in May ‘23 and it was perfect temp for someone who likes colder weather.

Great place to spend the night! There are several turn outs on this road and we stayed at the one furthest south between a tall, flat wooden fence and a small brown cottage that appears to be seasonal. We weren't bothered and weren't visible from anyone's house. Has access to the beach, perfect for walking the dogs at sunset an in the morning.

Love this place!

There is a sweet dog that roams around, or at least he was when I was here. He is literally starving, I saw him eat some bush and gave him some doggie food. He was totally dehydrated too, please give him some food and water if you see him. (Check photo! He looks like a German Shepard)

Great place! Large and quiet backyard with shade. Water and electricity available, toilets and showers can also be used. Currency exchange possible at a fair rate and laundry service available. Go first to the main entrance of the hotel to register, then they will open the gate to the backyard. Very warm welcome and good food in the hotel restaurant.

Really tasty and good value restaurant in central Peja / Pec - great local specialities!

This city campsite is located a bit further out of town (45 minutes by bus). It is relatively small and must be reserved online via https://parka.is/hafnarfjordur/. Definitely not the best amenities you've ever seen (only 2 showers en 2 toilets; toilets are also used by visitors of the adjacent park), but al least the shower is warm... In the affiliated hostel, there are 2 more toilets, a kitchen and diner. Price: 1900 pppn. Quiet at night and during the day (in good weather) lively with people and their children playing in the park.
