We were invited to stay in the garden of Allison. Had a great time! She is a great person that really enjoys to host travelers. If the car is here, you can knock on the door and ask!

Stayed here for 1 night. Very nice neighborhood, quite at night and felt very safe. No facilities, except for the porta potti in the park that I’m not quite sure it was open.

Safe place to spend the night. A few places to park on the back of the fuel station so you don’t hear to much noise. Small market and restaurant to buy snacks.

Paid 22 soles to refill our 5kg bottle. Staff really friendly and helpful. Close to the PanAmerican so if you are nearby, definitely a great spot to recharge your gas

This is a surprisingly nice place to stay. King sized bed, chairs, even hangars in the room! There's a shower with hot water and good pressure, and even a jetted tub (room 18). Wifi is decent, and we could park our motorcycles inside. There is a guarded, secure parking lot just a few doors east in the same side of the street.
We stayed in a junior suite for just a few pesos more (see pics for posted rates). At 875 pesos, this is one of the more expensive places we've stayed, but worth every peso.pesos.
Centrally located, with a gas station a few blocks away and an Oxxo a few doors down, and just a short walk to some key sites.

RV park tucked along river on the edge of the small town. Easy off highway and short neighborhood drive. Only a short drive from cute downtown St. Charles. Spots are close together but community is clean and felt safe even though the property isn’t fully fenced. We only stayed for 1 evening and arrived after hours with a phone reservation. Office opened a little late (scheduled 8am) for us to pay and head back on the road. Hooked up 30amp, water and space to walk dogs.

Nice campground just outside West Yellowstone. We pulled in around 7:00 pm and took the 1st open site which has electricity. This site number is 41, which backs to 191/287. We could hear the traffic noise. We have a camper and the noise is not bad during night. There’s water but no dump station.

Beautiful spot. In the forest, green trees, gorgeous sunset with cotton candy pink clouds over the lake. You know when you are past the private property when you pass a gate exactly like the one at the entrance. Did I mention the stars? and quiet? Pullout big enough for a few of Vans or a trailer. Pulled in rather late on May 18, 2023 and Tim the park Mgr suggested we park down by the lake in the day use area rather than try and back our big rig into any of the sites up in the woods. Very much appreciated. $22/night, didn't use any facilities.

Great place indeed.
Best showers in west Africa (last one on the right). Wifi, reasonable price mojito at the bar, good food (but a bit expensive), nice view over the bay, secured place.
Rui, one of the manager, was really welcoming with us!

Beautiful spot at lake, at the moment the water is high so you can’t drive once around (but we managed to walk around) Many locals in afternoon, calm at night. Indeed many frogs!!

We did get music, it stopped around 9 PM. A lot of mosquito’s, but overall okay to stay. We also got a visit around 10 PM, but this was from an officially dressed guard. Didn’t ask for any money and left when we told him we are tourists.

Toll is now 35 som for a category 1 vehicle.

Popular place among truckers and locals, fast service. We had some soup/bread/chai for 35 som in total.

Still possible to stay here. Some trucks passed but plenty of space around. The area is a bit trashy and abandoned, but it’s fine for a night. LTE, but somehow only a little bit of internet with Megafon. Better with Tcell.

Uma ampla praça no centro de duas avenidas Ene Garcez, próximo ao centro histórico e a orla da Selvinha Amazônia. Em frente ao quartel sexto BEC. Local seguro onde os campistas da Cidade costumam se encontrar.
Tem água, próximo e alguns banheiros.

There was a traffic jam of cars when I arrived here. They are letting bikes and motorbikes through, but the policeman said no cars (except resident I think). It looks like buses and through traffic are taking the E487 and then cutting across a rough road to Alausi from the NW

This detour route isn’t too bad gravel/dirt, but the part where you get to Alausi and have to cross the road they’ve dug out through the landslide itself is very rocky.

As described before, decent room wit shared bathroom for $10. Only guest, probably because of the landslide. Shower was hot but took a while to warm up. Didn’t have much luck with the WiFi- it started strong, but died away in the evening.

Positive surprise! Much more then an overnight stop, much birdlife, nice deck with view across the river onto a waterhole with many Kudu. Clean ablutions and hot showers. Overland trucks fit easily and the currogations were only for a few short stretches. WiFi on all sites but connections to it quite poor. Frozen fresh menus and meat available. All in all, South African quality site that deserves a 2nd night stay!

Camping now 30 bol. Beware that you cant park your motorcycle next to your tent. You have to carry your stuff a few stairs down to the camping area

Quiet camp spot on the outskirts of agricultural land, view of mnt Nebo. Alot of pulloffs on the small section of BLM. Sad to say a lot of old trash and broken glass everywhere.
