We are on a road trip across the country in our truck and fifth wheel. Needed a place to sleep for the night. Pulled in here well after dark. There were only two other RVs. It was very quiet and dark, perfect for a getting a good nights sleep. Didn’t hear any highway noise. It’s April so we assumed it was free. It’s a very nice, clean campground. Pit toilets onsite. Didn’t use so don’t know how clean they were. There is a trash bin, drinking fountain and even a water bottle fill up for tall reusable water bottles. Tried to use the water bottle fill up and it was shut off though.
We left early the next morning. No one bothered us. Great place for an overnight stay.

Campsite located right on the edge of lake Lanthe/matahi. Approx 10 spots. Bathrooms and sink, no potable water. Pay for use at site: $8/night per adult, $4/night per child (5-17), no charge below 5 years old. Pack out trash, no dogs, no fires, camping stoves only.

there was already a camper set up at back of parking lot and a couple of TT off to the other side of parking lot. I asked inside if it was ok to park my car and they really didn't care at all. once the store closed it was quite quiet

Very clean, little salty water. Perfect for swimming. Not the nice view over the lake.

it's also a nice tourist attraction 20 MXN for entry, 30 MXN for the main cave, 35 MXN if you want to go a bit further in, 20 MXN for the second cave and many more activities such as horseback riding, zipline...

didn't see a single no parking sign talked to the person at planet fitness and they prefer people not stay over 24hrs

Absolutely fantastic place. Grassy pitches and good shade. stunning local area to explore. €13 2 pax 1 tent 1 motorcycle. Highly recommended.

A very nice place near the forêt urbaine, beautiful atmosphere and with lot of security (police and security of the tree park).
It’s totally free, I stay here two night for enjoy the city of Rabat.
During the day there is lot of people come to enjoy the tree park but at night it s quiet.

beautiful place with pool. Also fits big trucks. Very friendly owner. Dinner (100Mad pp) was delicious. Showers were cold.

As described… super chill. Parked by the Wendy’s as others mentioned. Highly recommend the nearby Starbucks if you need a restroom.

Good place with view on the lake. Accessible for motorhome. But windy.

From the village of Fantan to the Black Wall (to the SE) there are many good places along the dirt road. There is a nice picknick place close to the Black Wall, but we could not get there due to the snow. In dry circumstances this should be doable without 4x4.

Quiet and nice views. Hike to Black Wall and the top of the volcano is recommended.

South side of the volcano is now property of the military, they were doing shooting practice when we were there.

Nice big area, and Kelso dunes for sunrise/sunset views

Everything seemed fine, the perfect place to spend the night, until out of nowhere, there was a landslide on the slope that hit my car. I had serious damage and everything became chaos. DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE.

Lovely spot. No reason why you can’t walk towards the trailhead and use the bathrooms. There are some inside the campground and some at the trailhead.

Be warned. There may be cows. Lots and lots of cows. Woke up in the morning to ominous mooing and soon after my van was totally surrounded. Didn’t seem to mind me or my dog as long as we didn’t make any sudden moves.

Looked it up and the national grassland is open to cattle grazing but couldn’t find any schedule of where and when.

The requirements for tourist visa are:

Best to arrive with all of these things becuase the workers are absolutely not friendly or helpful in the slightest. I had some arguments before I finally figured out what they wanted from me.

They asked for 50k for lassier passer so I said no thanks I will take my chances at the border.

We came here as it was easy to park our van. Inside is not huge but we used the supermarket, added credit to our orange SIM and had pretty good stone baked pizza, price was 6k for large tomato and cheese - upto 13k for pizza with more exotic toppings.

Dispersed Camping site with makeshift fire ring. Easy access for any size rig up to Class A. Easy turn off Forest Service Rd 63. 4 bars Verizon 4G service, clear sky for Starlik setup

easy overnight. small parking lot. was loud till around 9pm and then fine. didn't have any of the issues other overlanders had.

We stayed here for two nights as it was by far the cheapest place in the area ($35) and stealth camping doesn't always feel the safest in Santa Cruz. We stayed in 62 and 75 and both were super private and had a large area out the back of the van to cook etc. You pay at the desk after driving around and picking a few spots you'd like to use, and then confirm with them afterwards which are available. it's a large site and even though we're sort of here in off season it was fairly busy, but lots of spots still available. we didn't do any of the trails but some of them started right next to our site at 62. would recommend!

Was going to park here outside a gated apartment block. We saw a couple of other vans too parked on an incline. But a gang of teens tried our door handle and all the other cars on the street, so didn't feel entirely safe. Went to Bass Pro instead.

Still open, not affected by the extrem high water level of the lake. Friendly staff. Camping they asked kw 15.000, but finaly we got it for kw10.000pppn. Restaurant good for lokal standarts and not expensive.

Still big and flat... 3 different quarries and a roadside pull off overlooking the valley. Pulled over for lunch and to let the sea of tour busses come down..
