We knew to have no citrus, avocado, eggs were hard boiled. food was minimal. he asked about meat. ours all cooked and in the freezer. They kept asking if we were only us 2. no one in the camper. no secondary! our first time not being searched. best place ever! super chill but professional. We told everyone we are grateful for doing their job

Um ótimo lugar para acampar alguns dias, com bastante espaço para camping tanto em MH como em barracas. Tem várias churrasqueiras espalhadas pelo lugar também. A represa é linda e lugar super tranquilo, sem ponto de energia e água.

O acesso é em estrada de terra e está ok para todos os tipos de veículos. Tem um aviso de cuidados com os carrapatos, perguntamos para os locais se havia muitos problemas com os carrapatos e eles falaram que geralmente no verão tem mais.

A great place to camp for a few days, with plenty of space for camping both in MH and in tents. There are several barbecue grills scattered around the place as well. The dam is beautiful and a super peaceful place, with no power or water points.

Access is on a dirt road and is ok for all types of vehicles. There is a notice to be careful with ticks, we asked the locals if there were many problems with ticks and they said that there are usually more in the summer.

On the left side of the parking there are public shower cabins. Clean, free. Cold water only but you're protected from the wind which is important here. Clean toilets, too.

I placed an earlier review and I need to update. Two issues you need to be aware of. The walk in is a chore. And parking is an issue. Don't come here with a motorcycle. The view is awesome. The number of things to do and see is great. The showers are hot, and its a unique spot.

Last petrol station before Platjan border. Better to fill in Botswana because it is cheaper as in South Africa. Cash or credit card. Small shop (cold drinks and cakes).

Estacionamento no parque Lago Verde, dormimos aqui por 1 noite e foi bem tranquilo, moradores nos informaram que de quinta a domingo tem pancadão de som aqui perto. Pernoitei em outra data então não posso afirmar. A cidade é muito bonita e organizada.

Small supermarket with more than basic stuff. You can find lots of goods, including campingaz canister. 100 m to the right there's a nice boulangerie.

A local tour guide organization with the amazing Yamit Diaz. Here you can go hippo watching (in the wild, even though they're invasive), do 2 day bird watching tours or fishing tours.

They also have a secured camping area that fits two/cars or two mid-sized campervans. Included are a clean cold shower and toilet and the area is right next to the river and HQ of the organization. Lots of wildlife in the area!

Yamit also runs a turtle rescue center with his parents nearby, which is free to visit. They show amazing passion for the care of wildlife. They're donation based, so more than welcome to donate some cash!

The town itself is adorable, clean and filled with kind people that love to chat. Everyone knows eachother so great sense of safety and community.

Made supper and stayed one night. It’s right beside the highway so there isn’t a whole lot of privacy. We didn’t mind the traffic noise but my car enthusiast baby got pumped up every time he heard a motorcycle rip by, which was quite often till around 11 when traffic died right down. Nice views and close to trails.

Flat gravel area just off the road with more than enough space for several vehicles; next to a river. Some grasslands behind the tree if using a tent.

I drove there from san francisco, i dont think you can drive straight up from the panamerican highway (at least the guy that lives at the start of that trail told me that. He also told me its safe to camp there)
Near the top you pass a guard from the wind park but he was very friendly and only wanted to note my name
I nearly couldnt get up the last part with my heavy luggage on my motorcycle and i for sure you cant drive that way with a car (very narrow parts, almost didnt fit with my panniers)
But the locals drive up there with their small bikes and it is an amazing place to camp

Great small campground. the regular rate is $35 for out of state. has water and a dump station included with stay. $10 to get into the area. Very quite, good fishing, 3 bars of Verizon.

right along the water. maybe 6-7 vehicles can park here. couple of benches and trash cans right along the water. The gazebo is across the road. very quiet & peaceful

Passed by without problems. No police here today either.

Super friendly and helpful. We paid 4000cop for 4x5L.
They cleaned the containers before filling up and helped me carrying them back to the van.

A private hospital, they do all the tests on the spot. Not cheap but you can activate insurance or pay with credit or cash.
