Funky historic plaza with an eclectic mixture of shops. Stayed here on a Thursday night and it was super quiet! Chatted with a local and he said nobody would bug us if we stayed there and he was right!

As others described, large parking area overlooking a beautiful view. Room for many RVs, large or small.

We recently purchased 2.5 Acres near Monastery, NS. We are minutes from the Canso Causeway, and would like to offer a spot for the night to our European Friends. We can offer a place to park, a fire pit, and our assistance on where to go and what to see. We have non-potable water, some potable, and a dump station. Hopefully power and potable water by fall. We just ask to be contacted ahead of time. 250-254-6882, or email me at [email protected].

Absolutely beautiful area, full of history and stunning views. We did not stay, but we did drive out to check out the campground. Please note, you must cross a bridge with a height restriction of 11'2". Several numbered camping spots and a few out on the flats with fire pits. Campground is past the National Park campground, follow the signs to Dyea. About 9-10 miles outside of town.

Decent campground. Very few trees now due to pine beetle infestation. Infrastructure is new. Still barely warm showers though as per the October review.

It is 65K pp and that gives you 48 hours to explore one or all three of the sites. The day we were there we did not see a single other tourist, just workers. It is a beautiful park with well kept paths to wander as you check out the statues and tombs. You can do some birdwatching too. We spent just over 3 hours exploring the site. A great deal of the information is presented in English too. We went to the second site Altos de los Idolos the next day and I would say it is well worth a visit too.

Dispersed "camp site", many spots for tents, few for camper vans. Very dirty! Garbage everywhere. No mice though as others claimed. Bit windy. Beautiful lake!

Sweet little rest area, nestled between the highway and railroad tracks, so noise can be a bit of an issue at times. Several individual sites with picnic tables. Flush toilets, no running water, but there is a babbling brook. The road loops around by the washrooms so larger rigs would have no difficulty navigating this site. Tents could be set up by the picnic tables by the brook. No signs limiting stay.

Paramos para abastecer , jantar e dormir. Atendimento excepcional, tanto do atendente da bomba como o da moça da conveniência. dormimos uma noite tranquila. Não precisamos abastecer de água e nem utilizar os banheiros. Super recomendo esta parada.

We stopped for gas, dinner and sleep. Exceptional service, both from the pump attendant and the convenience girl. we slept a peaceful night. We don't need to supply water or use the bathrooms. I highly recommend this stop.

Came here cycling, two persons.
After leaving Otavalo we wanted to rest a little bit. We came to this fire station. We were welcoming. They all are kind people. The invited us without any hesitation. They gave us a room only for us.

Hot shower, slow wifi, there is a kitchen that you can use.

Highly recommended.

Clean and spacious rooms, very friendly staff. Nice location with safe parking garage for motorcycles or even cars. We paid 165 Bs per night with breakfast and private bathroom.
Teleferico is just few minutes away by foot. Multiple supermarkets are nearby and a lot of bars and restaurants too.

I arrived as a lone cyclist.
Good shelter.
Toilets (not the cleanest ;P ) and running water.
The elevated sheltered balcony was closed, and the local people I met didn’t have the key (probably the president of the community has).
So, no electricity. Also, the wifi did not work.
In case of strong rain, the north-east quarter of the field will be flooded, and part of north-west.
Southern side keeps dry (but very iluminated).

Llegué como un ciclista solitario.
Buen refugio.

Street parking near the western promenade. Great place to watch the sunset and walk your dog. Be mindful of the signs regarding parking; some sections of the street say no parking, but not one sign stated any overnight restrictions. Stayed here one night with no issues. A little noisy during the hospital’s shift change (it seems a lot of their employees park here). Kind of a ritzy neighborhood so we kept it as stealthy as possible. Show up late, leave early, don’t set up camp and these spots will stay open! Happy stealthing y’all!

Didn’t feel great about some of the spots in Thunder Bay so came to here. Felt a lot safer so spent the night. Lots of Geese but not much else. There were bins but they were overflowing. Nice quiet spot for an overnight stop.

Lovely farm. Caters to small bus tours and overlanders. I got a discount for travelling alone - NAD300. Bar, restaurant and pool. Honesty system for drinks. Liked it so much I stayed an extra night.

Very nice level, ground campsite with own ablution, braai and shade next to the warmish River. very beautiful with the waterfall and natural pool you can swim in. Unfortunately it is VERY expensive compared to the rest of namibia. N$760 for 2 people per night. The hot water is provided with a donkey, we asked the camp supervisor if we needed to make the fire for the hot water, twice he said that they will do it. He only arrived the next morning with 3 pieces of wood and by 8am there was still no hot water. The electricity was also switched off during the night so we could not fully charge the batteries. The last 6km after the turn-off at Warmquelle will take you about 20 min seeing it is very rocky. The road (D3704) to and from is very bad after the last rain and we regretted a lot of times taking this route.

Great place to park our van for the day. There is a biking/walking path along the river. Benches along the way. Easy access to Main St. downtown and right next to a big playground. Has some grassy areas to sit and there are several war memorials. There are bathrooms if you walk a little ways east to the main Sunset Park (there they also have a bunch of front porch swings to sit and watch the river or the sunset).

We stayed here the 3. time. We love this place, especially the garden. Sabine is a wonderful host. The evening with parilla was cold, but very long. Now there is a new beautiful decorated bathroom with very hot water.

Chez Roberto was the perfect spot to stay in Banos. There’s lots of room for bigger rigs, no height restriction, the workout park is right across the street and it’s an easy walk to the thermal pools and Baking Partners bakery which has amazing sourdough bread, banana bread with chocolate chips, cookies and coffee. Wow.
It was quiet every night even over the long weekend that we were there. During the days the place got busier with horseback rides and a bouncy castle but we enjoyed the action. It never lasted later than 9 pm.
The bathrooms were clean and we just showered at the thermal pools. There are a few places where you can buy a shower for a dollar or two as well.
There are $20 massages offered in every block and most have a shower included so that’s always an option.
We paid $5 per night for 2 people in a van and that included electricity. Great spot!
