This place no longer exists there is no road there after the bridge or has been totally grown over after years

Sam, the manager is the sunshine on this place with good music in his restaurant.
Due to covid nearly no business the last 2 years. But the showers are hot, the beer is cold, the coffee is the best in tofo and the view from the restaurant is great.

Excellent location close to the shore. A lot of space.

RV filling station. there are also multiple drinking fountains and taps around for filling bottles and jugs too. I know this has been mentioned in the Informal Camping tag for this rest stop but sometimes people are just looking for water so thought I'd mark it.

we stayed one night. this is one of the best rest stops. lots of room for trucks, big rigs, and small cars. huge toilet block, lots of drinking fountains and taps, and a RV water filling station, vending machines, big grassy areas with picnic tables etc etc. the only thing missing from this place is a sani-dump.

Good guided tour at 100 rand per person. Without guide is 50 rand pp. 45 minutes. Shoe shoe restaurant has great lesotho local food buffet style on wednesday.

Moto and auto tyre sales and fitting. Good supply of new and used motorcycle tyres - the best I've seen in Argentina.. Super-helpful and friendly owners, a father and son. Good fitting and balancing equipment.. 👍 Highly recommended.

Nice spot near to the official picknick place and only few walking minutes to various hiking/walking trails around and to the bottom of the crater.
We were here mid March 2022. Very quiet - but most probably more visited during weekends and in summer.
No facilities, no trash bins, no water.
Please do not leave traces behind, as some of the visitors sadly do.

Small and cosy camp place next to the sea. Enough space for 2-4 cars. The road down is hard to see and it’s to small for big cars

We stayed at no 12, nice views to mountains in the north and between boulders.
Fireplace and braai area also available, but no toilet paper.
It was raining, so open toilet and shower not really helpful
Really amazing views on hiking trails. At the moment it's green and grass and beautiful flowers everywhere

Fairly quiet but you could hear the train. I was the only one here and never got bothered.

If you go a few meter further there is another place to stay, just in case this one is occupied.

Very nice small but well looked after campsite. The pub on site did not serve food on Tuesdays. But looked to be recommended. 15 pounds per night for 2 adults a van and a dog.

Western Unions are hard to find but worth the effort as you will get a better exchange for foreign currency than that offered by the banks. This one, at ChangoMas, gave us money (changing CDN$) within 10 minutes. You will be asked to show your passport.

Nice spot, but lots of trash. Good place for charging solar batteries. Had a flickering AT&T bar, no T-Mobile.

A large and very modern supermarket. Good place to restock if you have just shipped in to Montevideo. Big open parking and no height restriction for entry.

Well equipped tire shop where we got a used tire to replace one that was damaged. They attended to us right away and had us set up within 20-30 minutes. Very professional and $35 including installation.

Great quiet spot close to the water. The drive in is a little dicey - some washboard patches, hard packed sand and pot holes. We made the drive just fine in our 2WD Promaster. Google maps will want to take you through someone’s property to get to the dirt road. We found it much easier to go up a few streets then connect to the dirt road. Beautiful view of the water and mountains when you get there!

Site between 2 bridges just down from this site. Pit toilet and room for several vans or small campers and tent camping. Close to AT.

As said propane refill behind the building easy access press bell for assistance. Refilled our 30ft RV here

Free and fast wifi access throughout high-end shopping mall. Acceptable speed to download movies, books, etc.

Great open spot. No cell service. Very large pot holes.

Shower $15, clean with toilet, sink & shower area. Towel, floormat & washcloth provided. Built in soap dispenser.

Level space right on highest point of the last pass before descending towards Uyuni. Some broken glass on the ground but no problem. Quiet, since road is not very much travelled during the night. 10 min to town, much preferable to any other point in town, it is worth driving out here. Enough room for several big rigs if you travel as a convoi 😁

several miles of level dispersed campsites about a mile from the interstate. the freeway is visible but did not bother us at night. Sugarloaf Peak (Dome Rock) is nearby with a couple of mine tunnels. the one we visited was open for entry and an easy walk inside. the Verizon signal was strong enough for streaming video last night. not many campers here last night and we had our privacy. scrub bushes and some saguaro cactus. camping was free.

Right next to a tiny market, across the street from a library. There’s a place on the road to pull along side so you don’t have to carry water jugs far. Perfect !

Only place close to Rawson with good wind protection suitable for every rig. We checked the other spot close by, but it only works for tents or 4wd. On a windy day we found this nice spot on the other side of RP1. Plenty options between the dunes. Silent and peaceful for a night. No claro reception, might be muddy on a rainy day.

Easy access Sanidump. The potable water was closed maybe because of the cold season?Right beside sports field
