AMAZING spot right on lake mead. It’s about 3 miles down a gravel dirt road. It’s not bad but it just takes a while. My 1995 econoline made it going pretty slow. Great cell service with Verizon. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. I passed a bathroom on the way, though not sure the condition of the toilets. Lots of trash though so please pick up after yourself!! Highly recommend this spot though. |

Typical Cracker Barrel RV spots and location noise. Called and confirmed it was okay to stay. Advised they were not responsible after closing time. |

There were lots of trucks and big camper rigs when we pulled in. We had a good night of relative quiet. Walmart is open 6am-11pm except Tues when it doesn’t open ‘til 7am. We bought ice for our coolers at $1.79. |

Great place to camp on the beach. Porta potty and garbage cans available. Stay on hard packed sand. A number of RVs got stuck during our stay. Water shallow by the beach with breakers… |

Really nice place to overnight. You can stay next to the lake with beautiful views on the lake and the snowy mountains. At the end of march not busy at all, quiet, cold at night and in the morning. |

Perfect spot to visit Petrified Forest NP from. Cows came pretty close by in the morning. There were two other campers at spots nearby. Unpaved road to get in, and some of the other spots marked on this road on iOverlander are difficult to get in without high clearance. This spot is easy, flat and big! Careful of some broken glass if you have dogs or kids. Road is called Old Woodruff Rd. |

Appears restrooms are inside the building and they are open 8-5. Otherwise there are some parking spots good for cars/vans that overlook a small creek which looked nice. Signs to watch out for snakes. We just stopped by for an hour during the day for a quick rest, noone else was around. Not sure if overnight stay is permitted, saw signs for towing. |

When we arrived they asked when we want hot water, we said 6 oclock, but nobody came to heat up and there was no toilet paper no rubbish bin and no mirrow in the bathroom. In the morning when who came to collect the money we complaned and they heated up the fire and brought a rubbish bin... |

We wanted to do the tour so we spend the night here. They agreed to let us park in front of the meeting point for the tour and said that we could use the bathroom. We needed a shower so we decided to rent a cabana for 15$ for a night. Only cold shower and bathroom, no wifi or electricity. The tour was 30$ per person with the meal. |

It is a path on the right near the road (just after the bridge in the south direction). It is a bit muddy if it rained before but it is accessible even with a 2wd.

lugar lindo, super tranquilo, com poucos motorhomes para pernoite, a maioria são carros que passam o dia. Não tem energia, nem wi-fi, a água é da lagoa. Faz bastante frio. Traga sua lenha, praticamente não tem onde buscar.

Two weeks ago, a posting said this cg was closed. It is open now, one other car camper here. It is free to stay here, always a great selling point. Free site means more money for gas, agree? Tall trees, down in a valley so it is pretty dark right now in the rain but wind protected. Sun dappled in the morning but you do not have a view of the hoodoos you just drove by. OK for an overnighter before going to the Cliff Dwellings. Must be nice in the hot months with all these trees for shade. I do not agree that big rigs will fit here. This is small and narrow. Vault toilets, trash receptacles, tables and metal fire ring at each site. There is another small cg, McMillon, about a half mile up the road. Also dark. I suggest you drive further up the paved, serpentine road where the views will amaze you! 360 degrees of beauty. See photos. There are dozens of dispersed pull outs on the way to the Dwellings. |

Wow! If you like heights (7200’ elv) and 360 degree panoramic views, this is the place! Multiple dispersed camping pullouts along the paved, serpentine road to the Cliff Dwellings. We are watching storm clouds and lacey, gray, rain curtains and it is so gorgeous! Looking forward to a colorful ‘sunset’ with all the clouds. |
