Sprawling camp area with many loops and boat ramps. I think odd numbered sites are reservable and even sites are first come first serve. Felt like summer, nice scenery. Would hate to see the place at capacity, I think there’s almost 350 sites! Peaceful this time of year though.

You can park in inside the park or along side the road before getting through the park gates. I would say it’s good for rigs 25ft or less. They have a playground, porta potty, electricity under the picnic area, and a water sticker.

Hours: 6am - 8pm

Great place to come and have a work day, house cleaning day, relax and be able to walk out to the doc and look at the Savannah and do some fishing.

No camping allowed here, but it looks like nice spot.

Amazing views (both from the bottom and the top of the hill), very very quiet. Multiple fire pits already present. Level spaces. We loved it here!

All about the location. Otherwise it's just a peice of sand in the yard. Ppl are nice. Place is clean. Quoted 350mets each when we arrived. Came back and said it was high season (on 4ppl staying there) would be 450 mets. When we left they charged us 400mets each, so somewhere In there. The town is great. The market seems to charge tourist 2x-4x the price as elsewhere In Moz. So hopefully you are good a bargaining.
Beautiful town though. Check out Tofo-tofo restaurant on wednesdays. Packed with ppl for live music. *Also the only wifi here is for FB/WhatsApp/Insta, so basically no wifi.

As discribed. Good for one night after crossing the border, even got warm water for bucket shower. Really nice as I was socked with after after heavy rain. Paid 2000 cfa.

Crossed the border today but the man at the post sent me to Maya Dore.

I took a different way from Nigeria to Cameroon: Gembu - Warwar - Dorofi - Maya Darle. The road is not on maps me or Google maps. I was directed by the locals.
As described, not the easiest way, I did it with a honda transalp and a lot of weight. Was fine so far, only last stretch down to Cameron was really hard, as it started to rain. Landed on the side. But made it finally. Scenery is incredible.

Went there as my moto broke down and needed to be fixed. 5000 ni for basic room. Really nice people there. Good an cheap food still available.

Back of building, quiet. All by myself, never been bothered by anything. Was planning to go park at Wells Fargo across the street but parking lot seemed to small for my 24 ft Class C so I chose this one instead. Very good night sleep.

Perfect overnight or so place to stop. About 10 acres of dirt parking and a very large garbage bin.

As described. Slight street noise but overall very nice for street side parking. You’re across the street from the back of target, up against a sidewalk with hedge/tree plantings between you and the fenced field. Intermittent street lights. A couple other stealth campers in the row of semis. Would return for sure if I’m passing through again.

Road was closed to access any of the campsites on this road.

The road was still closed but we stayed on the side parking areas and were not bothered. Some road noise and couple of cars coming into their property past the gate. Very nice for one night.

Quiet lot, 24/7 parking. Stayed here 2 nights in a row, with no issues.

Edit: RIP to this amazing spot. Stayed on Loy Butte next to Boynton Pass Rd for 5 nights in all different spots. Kinda wish I could’ve stayed forever. It was beautiful and felt incredibly safe. 1-3 bars LTE Verizon but don’t count on it. I couldn’t make any calls and texts were delayed.

Martha from Black Dog Cycle Works told us about this cool little hotel! Super friendly owner (Patty) and nice staff. Check it out if you need to get off your bike or out of your camper for a bit!

A small turn out to the right, after the lodging road. Has a fire pit and leveled for a 24 ft long.
Nothing special, right in the middle of the burn scar of the August complex fire.

This is a wonderful place. In women’s area there are many private showers. For six dollars what they’re offering is great.

This is a great place. It is conveniently situated between a very nice Italian deli and a Colombian restaurant. prices are reasonable. People are nice.

We stayed but had a visit after from the park ranger, it is not permitted to stay the night or use this road

I actually stayed further down this road (on the first S-bend, near the base), and there were tons of other campers here. Beautiful view, even if you don't go too far up the road.
