Best option for staying at the beach around El Cuco. We prefered staying here than in one of the many places in El Cuco, you are parked on the beach and have the beach and waves for yourself most of the time. Toilets with tp, clean. Outside shower only but convenient. Restaurant on site, simple but good food. We paid 15$ for family of 5 and RV + 5$ for electricity. Everyday there is a truck coming to sell fruits and vegetables and a guy selling bread as well. When low tide, we could walk to El Cuco in approx 15 min. Decent wifi. We recommend !

It is a big parking lot and under a few trees you find shadow also for big rigs. We had a quiet night.

Pavilion behind the LDS church. It is next to a school. Water fountain w/ spigot and picnic benches. Also has a large fenced grass area dividing the school and church. Utah water is usually on between Memorial Day and Labor Day due to freezing temps. This one was on today.

Stayed one night, there was an event so we werent the only one and we didn't have the chance to meet Jason. So we just eat and drink at Jungla the brewery, and sleep we'll.

After a ghost toll so it was really slow at this point, you pass in front of military that made cars and bus stop. They waved at us but be prepared for the slow trafic

We've spend 4 days here. In front of the beach with some services nearby. Victor is a great host and does an excellent job maintaining this spot for researchers, surfers and travelers. The local still doesn't have a bathroom/showers but don't let it stop you from visiting and knowing more about the region

Lots of other RVs and vans parked here. Large parking lot for all types of vehicles. In my opinion, Cracker Barrel’s are better than Walmarts other than not being open 24 hrs. Also there’s a planet fitness and a laundromat (Wash Tub) on the next block if you need to do some chores in the morning.

Amazing spot. Quiet, peaceful, far enough from hwy that it sounds like gentle ocean sounds. This road is way better than the spot in town 10 miles away. 3LTE Verizon.

0/10 would not stay here as solo female. Right in the middle of town, not a clear spot. Passed this one and kept going 10mi along rte 66 to the next spot listed.

We stayed here 3 nights, it works well because there is no parking fees on weekdays - only weekends. I will say it’s busy during the day, but not an issue for us. Just try to secure a spot at night and hold it! Good open area for solar power with great views and great hiking trails! We didn’t need them but I did see some water fountains. Ground was leveled towards the south end.

Really nice spot. Noticed 2 other stealth campers there. Not sure if over night camping is aloud here. But did not have any trouble.

Had a delightful two-night stay, though it rained unseasonably for much of it. Parking is on grass that can get very soggy in the rain, but we didn’t have much standing water fortunately. The big highlight is the open building on the lake, which has beautiful, large seating areas, a kitchen, bathroom, and shower. We didn’t use the shower. Can’t express how beautiful the lake view is, in the morning especially. Such a place of peace. We had the good fortune of meeting Markus on one of his trips in from Guatemala City, as well as one of his brothers and their family friends. We were welcomed like long-time friends, and even got to participate in a boat trip to a restaurant. While this won’t happen to every guest, from conversations with others, it seems like special things regularly happen here. Mario, the groundskeeper, was so lovely. And our five year old Caspian became good friends with Mario’s son. We’re thankful for our time here. (Also, the castle is well worth a visit.)

Nice and calm place for overnight stay in a valley near the Tameh village. we took a wrong road and ended up at these coordinates. only jackals roamed around at night. there should be another road more south from herr that leads further to the valley.

Wow, amazing views. Steep, switch-back roads. Many spots, far apart. There are some huge rigs here. Pretty impressive driving on this narrow, winding road. 7000 ft elevation. Windy and unprotected. Many hand-made crosses up here of those who have passed to the mountain spirits.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We stayed in the far right campsite [upon entering the lodge].
I had fairly good cell phone signal, when I put my phone next to the battery [located is on the kitchen wall, which is linked with the solar panel].

Simply an unforgettable experience, we want to come again, and stay for at least 3 days.

Very friendly owners, Boesman and Yuri.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Large HD lot. Green Lantern pizza a block away is highly recommended. No signs/issues for one night here in van. Big rigs/trailers not recommended. Arrive late and leave early for best experience.
