Cool place right on beach. Camping is under palapa in restaurant car park. Access to toilets and showers. Way too many sand flies to be enjoyable unfortunately.

Amazing place to fill your water tank, with drinking water provided by water company. Nozzle like fuel station, very high pressure.

We stayed the night at the Kittery Trading post (there were other vans and campers parked there & it was dark) and came here in the morning for the sunrise. Absolutely beautiful spot. You can drive right right up to the waters edge and pop the trunk.

Beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere. When parked close to the hill, you’re out of the wind. Sunset on the hill is super nice. Rhino coming when we were in our tent. Great spot!

We came over from UAE (port sharjah - Bandar Abbas) the expensive ferry (Hormuz) was still out of order. So we shipped the truck with White Tern and our self with Valfajr speed catamaran.
The process in sharjah :

1. Called Mr Taqi Zadeh (White Tern) to get quote for the truck, shipping and date.
The shipping is nearly every day (takes approx 16h)
He forwarded us to Mr. Osman a very friendly young guy who organised the shipping.

2. Get a ticket for the personel speed ferry at the Al Hili office (take care here the fixers will be informed about your shipment)
Shipping times Tuesday and Friday (boarding at 7-8am, lift off at ~10am duration ~6h)

3. Make sure that Mr. Taqi Zadeh or Osman will keep you updated and send pictures

4. Don't leave anything in the driver's cabin! They even took our old hand cloves.

5. We brought the truck to the main gate where Mr. Osman met us. He drove it on board because we had to leave for the speed ferry

6. In Bandar Abbas!
Now the story begins. It's a long fight with criminal local workers. They all stuck together with the "Fixers" as a kind of Mafia. Never gone thru such a cheating and bad treatment than here.

Our very good Iranian friend helped us to get thru this nerv wrecking process and was multiple time asked how much he charged us for his help. They replied that they only hand out the car when we use the help of one of the criminal fixers.
We told everything to the "Boss" of the harbour. He asked for names.
Together we will try to stop this cheating and unnecessary crime.

Whatsoever, after 5 hours we got the truck.

Costs:

Truck ferry 1600DHS
Personel ferry 1100 DHS
Port day pass UAE 40DHS/p

White Tern - ferry handling and insurance
21.000.000 IRR
Harbour fee 4.000.000 IRR
~1.000.000 IRR for copying the papers.

BTW : if you stuck in trouble there, go to the chief officer of Harbour. You will find him in the main office (big sitting group in the middle). Enter-turn right- first big office on the left.

The water spigot now has a lock but we got by filling two 7 gallon jugs on the foot wash of the showers.Took about five minutes or so. Cute little spot otherwise! Quiet on a Sunday morning. Trash and recycling as a plus!

No updates here in a while so just checking in to reassure potential guests it is still here and as described in other posts. Great kitchen, great wifi, restaurant next door gives discounts to guests and is a nice Italian style pizzeria (unlike the gross comida rápida pizza you find all over Colombia). Secure parking for motorcycles.
Only complaint is there are not enough bathrooms when they are at capacity. On a weekend there could be up to 30ish guests here sharing 2 hot showers. Mostly backpackers here but not a party place. If you're chill about it and not throwing parties they don't enforce the "no outside alcohol" rule

This location is labeled closed but it's open, I'm sitting in the parking lot now. It's very nice here. It's not only a public boat ramp but there is a little public park w/ pavilions, swing set for the kids, and bathrooms. The parking lot is level and there is some road noise from the local highway but I bet at night it's quiet, as other users have mentioned. I'm not spending the night but I don't see any signs restricting overnight parking.

this spot is beautiful!! BUT there are some cons to consider.

the road here is quite bumpy especially right in the beginning there are quite a few sharp edged rocks that you have to drive thru. we have a 24ft rv and got in with not too many issues but still a lot on the transmission with all the shaking and maneuvering.
another issue is the internet, we have mint mobile and t mobile and we had VERY spotty signal and we were hoping to stay here for a week and do work but the signal is not good enough. we were both getting 2,3,4 bars and then it would cut out completely. so not stable for working remotely.

were here on april 10th, and it's extremely windy. the rv was rocking all night and it was hard to be outside with the winds. Definitely check windy.com for what the weather is like up here.

we ended up staying only one night and leaving jn rhe morning.

other than that, if you can catch this spot in perf condition it's very very beautiful with the overlook.

I have visited here several times. The road is never in good shape but passable, probably even in a passenger sedan. Place looked a little trashy this time. It was about half full on a Saturday night, which surprised me some. (Mostly the ATV crowd). I still recommended as in interesting spot with the river and the Hills

A gravel lot across from Parkside Pizza and the yosemite view lodge. It's only about 20 minutes to yosemite Valley with most of the park attractions from here. if you need a safe space for the night, this is it - the rangers send everyone here that they find camping in the park in spots that are not permitted. Cell service is not great, but not far to get decent coverage.
