Nice place to camp site with its own ablutions. However some of the sites are not well shaded; in this regard no 4 is the best. The wifi is only really usable close to the reception building. There was an unpleasant smell of sewage coming from the drainage system when we were there but apart from this the facilities are good and the setting next to the river is attractive. Booking ahead for camping might be advisable to avoid disappointment. Pula 300 pppn camping.

Magnifique endroit sur le bord d'un chenail tout près du Fleuve St-Laurent. Le parc est bien entretenu, les toilettes sont propres. Il y a une descente de bateau, en plus de l'entrée du chenail, il y avait beaucoup de navigation de jour et début de soirée. Il y a un resto/bar à distance de marche. J'y ai passé une très belle soirée avec mon chien.

Die Plätze sind klein und alles sieht recht lieblos aus. $40.95 für einen einfachen Platz (RV, 2 Personen und 2 Hunde) ist eindeutig zu viel! WiFi funktioniert überhaupt nicht. Man kann sich am WLAN anmelden, aber Internet steht dauerhaft nicht zur Verfügung!

After checking with visitor center, we stayed at "new" visitors center up on the hill. Good view & breezy to keep bugs away. Parks Canada staff very friendly.

Rest Area next ro the Highway at Lake Anton. Washroom are clean and open 24/7.

Stayed one night as it was getting dark. It was functional with a pit toilet and bins. It’s alongside the road but this highway was quiet at night.
Heading south the next morning we saw lots of nicer spots (not on IOverlander) not too far from this spot.

Nice and quiet. we do not stay at the parking area but drove hundred meters further to the cul the sac and stay there (in the house on the other side of the gravel place was nobody home. next day we go for the Alexis walk (around the corner). I recommended the Walking trail highly!

Your typical rest area. Convenient spot for visiting Redwood NP. Fairly busy with overnighters.

Large and pretty dark parking lot as long as there's no motion near the street lamps. They get a lot brighter when they sense movement. A street cleaning truck showed up around 11 pm and circled the parking lot making everything bright and being noisy for about an hour, but other than that it was pretty quiet after around 10:15 once all the employees leave. Lowes across the street has free wifi that you can intermittently pick up in the Costco parking lot (probably more consistently if you park closer to Lowes).

Barra Dica is on the Inhambane Bay side, sheltered from the wind behind the sand dune. The beach on the Indian Ocean is about 200m away on foot. It is very quiet here out of season (Christmas, Easter). Barra Dica is camper truck friendly and plans a site or two specifically for expedition vehicles. The driveway to Praia da Barra is paved. From there about 5 km of well-pressed sandy track. In this area there are some low-hanging lines, which you can avoid. With a height of 3.8m we just got through. About 700m before Barra Dica you cross two narrow bridges. Capacity unknown. With a width of 2.4m we could drive through the bridge. You can also continue over sand and through the water, which we didn't do. The last 500m before Barra Dica you drive along the beach, which is under water at high tide. Access and exit possible up to 2 hours before high tide and from 2 hours after high tide. Water and electricity available. We stayed here for 6 nights.

There are no camping signs on the drive in. Quite small and hard to see.

Point needs to be moved to our new coordinates.
Its a joint check point of Guardia Nacional and Polica Estadial - no problem, friendly and efficient check.

Still open to overlanders, 400p/night/motorhome. Good place for a few days. Wifi is slow (~2.5Mbps) at the camping spot. Coin operated washing machine and dryer on the way to the pool (25p/large load); coins at the reception. Cold showers, warm Jacuzzi.

After trying, unsuccessfully, to enter the other parking spot in iov nearby, we found this place.
Narrow entrance road and curve to the parking lot (our motorhome is 2.3m wide, 7m long; just made it). No facilities, so you need to be self contained. Live music Thursday to Sunday evenings in the restaurant Sherlock's House, nearby. 180p/24h/motorhome.

Wanted to enter this place with our motorhome (2.3m wide) but the access road, trough the Spanish embassy building, is made for normal cars only. It seems that the entrance for larger vehicles is closed by now (ongoing construction work). Went to the other public parking nearby.

First stop after leaving from Montevideo. It seems to be the official area for Campers to stay. It was okay for one night, but nothing special.

Didn't stay on this parking lot which doesn't belong to the bakery but to a couple on top of the parking lot; They asked us 12 000 cop, so we prefered staying next door on the parking of the hotel attached to the petrol station.
We asked permission and were just asked a 5000 cop propina for the night guard of the hotel. The place is much cleaner and quiet at night.

Nice little campground on the edge of town. 2 pittoilets but both are pretty disgusting at the moment.
Nice trail to a waterfall next to it. Quiet spot. There seem to be multiple people living in the last spot and the last empty spot was full of trash, the attendant came around 7 pm to pick up money but didn't do anything about the trash or the toilets.

Sites with reservations and walk-in sites with fee payed at the campground $20/ night, vault toilets, quiet, beautiful nature
