The comfort station is new and has showers and a laundry. However the services are pretty pricey! Although the laundry machines require 2 loonies to operate, they cost 3.00 each. you are expected to give the 3rd loonie to the attendent. Also the showers cost 5.00 and to dump it's 15.00.

Great spot in a small municipal lot in the nice town of Waitsville, along the river. All the prior descriptions still apply. We stayed one night on a Saturday. The lot was quiet after we arrived back around 9pm from dinner and a movie at the Big Picture in town (highly recommended). There was one other van parked in the lot. Our van is not especially stealthy (canoe on top, tandem on the back!) and no one bothered us at all. The local folks are very friendly also. Very good AT&T and Verizon reception.
If you haven't been to the Rt. 100 area, it's beautiful. A lot of great hikes and bike riding. Warren Falls is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend this spot.

Decent campground and the closest state campground to Acadia. Some sites aren’t very level (like ours) but we can make do. Decent separation from adjacent sites though.

Garden Eden in Spring. Stayed two nights and enjoyed every moment. Beautiful flowers all over the place, lovely walks. Super hosts, helpful and attentive. R125 per night 45 firewood. Great value for money.

Very nice flat whites, pizzas and pastries. Yup, more expensive but after being in very tiny towns for almost two months having these type of pastries was absolutely great

Actually several different spots here, the one mentioned was occupied, so we pulled into a separate small path right by the bridge and slept the night. A couple other vans were just parked in the turnoff so even if you don't get the main spot, it's still a good place to overnight. It is close to the road, but the noise wasn't too bad and the mosquitoes weren't nearly as bad as expected.

In this area you're only allowed to camp at the FS designated spots. There are several campgrounds along the road (some free, some not). This designated spot is just a pulloff with four fire rings - I picked it to avoid the busy campgrounds.
I stayed at the first one which is a bit separated from the others and provides the best river access. The other three are right next to each other.
All spots are somewhat close to the road, but it's not too noisy and the river helps to drown out some of it :-)
Absolutely beautiful spot!

Beautiful site on the river right off the road, but if you like privacy this ain’t it. Multiple people pulled into or walked right next to our equipment, to the point I saw a face outside my bedroom window one afternoon which no one wants. Super uncomfortable. One local even “checked in on us” like a camp host and reminded us there’s no fishing in this river (simply from seeing our Florida tag and fishing poles on the truck and not in use). Simple common courtesy doesn’t seem to exist here. We picked up the trash around the site.

Parked on the upper lot and was the only one. Locals were fishing but left before dark. Very quiet and dark - slept well. Someone from the nearby town is maintaining this little Gull Pond Park. Garbage is being picked up and a load of sand had been added to the bottom area.

It is $1 for an unspecified amount of time (not liters). Probably 2-3 minutes. Not that great, low pressure.

Beautiful views, quiet, only locals fishing and picnicking on Sunday. Farm animals roam during the day, and horses hangout overnight too. Peaceful, but hot without shade options. NOTE: beware of the many low branches coming in if you're over 3m tall, and some rough road sections crossing over rivers, and a very narrow bridge likely not possible if you're wider then 7ft.

Plenty of spots along this road, but this place in particular has enough room for 2 vehicles. 20 yards from the creek. Very quiet, only a few cars and bikers passed. No cell service on Verizon.

Very nice set-up. Away from the highway, quite nights and big open sky. You find your spot and the owner comes to you. Bathroom showers are set-up like you were home and no fees! We spent $25 for tent camping. Laundry is honor system flat rate with shared game room and microwave. Owner is very sweet. Has recycle, water, flushing toilets. Tenters be cautioned that it does get very breezy, but helps keeps bugs away.

on a dormi ici, sur l'herbe, devant un bâtiment d'ancienne école de surf. Quelques déchets, calme la nuit, un peu de passage de personnes en soirée. personne ne nous as dérangés.

Great little spot along the Arkansas River. 2 spots with fire rings. The spot on the right, facing the river is framed by two pine trees with some low, but small diameter, hanging branches - taller vehicles advised. This spot is more level than spot on left. There is also paved parking at the turn off from Hwy 50. Within 100 feet of highway which makes it super convenient but also just a little noisy.. its not wilderness..

Stay limited to 14 days. I enjoyed chilling by the river and watching the rafts go by.

We loved this spot. Made it up in our sprinter (not 4x4). Just have to be cautious. It’s about halfway up the road to the Hidden Lake trailhead. Would recommend getting to the trailhead early if doing the hike. (Hike is awesome!)
