There is no water anymore at Irving but there is a faucet on the front side of the public library just across the street. We asked in the library and they were very friendly and allowed us to fill up the motorhome.

Yep, as stated by the last two, this is open with no signafe to say it is season and will close. I liked it because it's flat easy spaces for $5 right next to the river. I checked the free spots up the hill (marked on the app) but being on flat for $5 seemed worth it.

Stopped for a picnic.

Spot is at the end of Wharf Rd. Road was freshly graded. No sign of any kind.

Stay on graded portion as the ground is very soft. Suitable only for cars, vans, and SUV's/pickup trucks.

They were not really willing to fill out Chilean gas bottle another time. After some discussion, they decided to help us. But they said that they changed their policy and don't want to do this anymore.

Amazing hidden spot on lake. Large water access, level spot, good for fishing and paddle boarding. Really beautiful but a lot of feisty mosquitos on this rainy day. Many pull offs off of this road. Look at google earth satellite view to see the clearings.

Large clean park with playground, walking paths, picnic tables, pavilion, volleyball court, grills and public bathroom. Next to Ole Miss Marina. Shower facility needs a code. Lots of parking with space for large rigs.

Good spot to relax, walk around, eat lunch and some nice photo ops along the Mississippi River.

There appear to be TWO Rec Sites very close together. This one is very rustic. Just a road along the lakeside with a dozen or so pull-in sites. Some with tables and fire rings, some just flat cleared areas. Each has private access to the lake. Some with beautiful staircases built from driftwood. One has a shower site to hang your sun shower. Lots of artsy touches. It’s well loved by the community. There are two sets of two pit toilets but no water. NOT big rig friendly as there is no place to turn around. I *think* the people saying this location is wrong are actually sharing the GPS coordinates of the OTHER Rec Site (Kinman Creek) which is less than a km north of this one but when we tried to find it, the apparent only access was down a narrow two track that we backed out of.

Passed through today, seems Mr. cop was too busy on his phone to care… he made us wait long enough to show he was boss and then lowered the cable.

This is still an option, we spent the night here… a bit more trash than we would have like but hey, it’s Bolivia! We managed to peek the 2 motos out of sight of the road and after dark our tent blended in with the trees. A bit of dust from the road but nothing horrible.

2 sided dog park. Big enough to let off some steam and small enough to be social with humans! Picnic tables and benches to sit at and garbage cans. Secure chain link fence and well groomed grass.
We met a few really nice local dogs and their humans.
It’s in a park area that includes an elementary school, a couple of playgrounds for kids and decent parking.

Great cg run by Forest Service. $15 a night, $8 with a pass. Only one site occupied and another with a dropped off 5th wheel that looks like it has been closed up for awhile. Lake, trash, pit toilets, rings and tables. Oh, and mosquitos. Bring out the Deet. These buggers are ruthless.

A couple parking spots hidden behind three large boulders off the side of road 202 into Tehachapi. Road noise and train noise exist but a Great Mountain View. We stayed overnight in our van with no problems, there were also someone with a 5th wheel staying as well.

Gravel with stone fire rings right by Quill Creek. Close to road but quiet at night. Room for multiple rigs, all sizes. A gravel road leads to a second spot, more private in trees, somewhat less room to turn around. Additional space on the northeast side of the bridge. No amenities. A sign informs about rules for campfires.

Disagree with this being unspectacular - absolutely adored the views, and you hardly hear any road noise, it’s being drowned out by the river. Also completely hidden, so good for an outdoor shower! There area few not quite level spots right at river level as well.

The site isn’t exactly where it’s mapped though, it’s 2km north on the highway where the river bends.

There’s a road thats pretty tough, wouldn’t bring a trailer or anything but we made it up in a haundai santefe sport, there’s 2-3 little pull offs to stay in. There’s lots of trees. Little traffic through here.
