A local skoolie guy told me about this spot and it's amazing! Surrounded on both sides of the road by water. Fishermen came and went throughout the night otherwise pretty isolated at the end of a dead end road.

Thanks for the picture, helped us a lot in finding a flat spot. Great place and perfectly hidden from the road. Next morning we walked to the viewpoint and met the police officer, who was angry we didn't talk to him before ("where's your car??"). We said we just came here this morning. So this spot is so hidden the policeman even couldn't find us.

I went to the restaurant and asked them if I can park there for the night. They say yes. There is also an Oxxo, a gas station and a surf shop. This is quite a busy road. It calms down a little bit at night. No one else was boondocking. The parking lot is full in rhe daytime. It is just in front of the trail that goes to the beach. The trail is easy to follow even if it is in the wood. I don’t understand the 2019 comment about signs saying you can’t go there. We didn’t see any. The waves were beautiful and good for beginners. You can rent a board at the surf shop. Bottles of beers, cans and broken glass on the parking lot. Nobody bother us.

At this mosque you can get drinking water out of the common silver drinking water machines. Additionally access to clean toilets here.

Decent flat parking lot. There are no toilets, showers nor electricity as mentioned previously. We parked here for the day when we went rafting on Rio Suarez (which was awesome). No issues.

Vivi welcomes overlanders to her property for some peace and quiet. There is a parking area near the gate, however it looks like no one has visited in a while. The area was overgrown with tall grass, which was still ok to park in, but not easy to hang out in. The view and quiet are both very nice, as is Vivi. She allows the use of her detached bathroom, which has hot water showers, and the Wifi network. She charges 15k pp pn. Possible to walk to both Villanueva (20 minutes along the road or 90 minutes the scenic route) and Barichara from her. Her current phone # is +57 315 5170543. lugar tranquilo. Mucho viento frío. Podés ver por la luz de alumbrado publico. No tiene tomas ni agua corriente. Paran muchos motorhome y carpas.

All as mentioned before. The road noise was pretty loud starting about 5am. There were swimming lessons happening in the pool in the morning. Washrooms and showers are the ones for the pool area and they were clean. Music on big speaker until about 8:30pm. 30K for 2 people. Easy walk to town and to the big shopping centre.

2 min walk to town, 20K per person. Clean washrooms, cold showers. There are 4 tents in available under cover, right next to each other. The “grassy area” was a bit of a swamp when we were here, maybe more than usual rain. Fine place, but a bit expensive for what it is. Staying in the lots by Las Gauchas is better in my opinion.

We stayed for one night with our campervan on the southside of the bridge. It's gravel, but there is a small paved part on the upper part of the parking where you can park your vehicle nice and level. Fishermen were around in the evening and early morning, but the place was really quiet during the night.

Quiet place. Basic sanitary. Hot shower. Roofings for shadow. Paid 1200 ARS pppn with tent.

Good place to stay while visiting the National Park. Clean toilet and cold showers included. Electricity and free wifi is also available. Some traffic during the day, quiet at night.

We camped at one of the wild camping spots out on this road. There was a small shower in the forecast, but we woke up to hail and lightning. Almost immediately the camping spot began to flood so we headed back up to this road. It was partially collapsed in some places and rivers of flood water were pouring across. One spot was too sketchy to cross so we found an elevated spot to wait it out til the morning. By 8am, there were already tractors out working to repair the road. Be aware of flash floods in this area and if there is any rain in the forecast, choose an elevated camping spot or don’t camp here at all.

Lovely little restaurant down a small side street. Chicken, rice & some vegi's available here amongst other foods. And tea too! Cheap local prices.

You can easily park anywhere next to the beach. Will be harder for big rigs. Was very quiet at night.

Iguana hostel wanted to charge us $7,5 per person for sleeping in our van, just for a shower and a shit. They're in it for the dollars.

during the week you are at night alone in the hotel, wonderful! only the gardener lives there. wonderful palapa where you can enjoy the sunsets from the 1.floor. can definitely recommend this place. now we move to Gerardo's new place "Hojas Eco Villas" to playa las Hojas. Gerardo's WhatsApp Nr.still active. should cost 15$ there.

Great place to stay! Perfect located in Sucre, very lovely and helpful owner family and everything is very clean, calm and beautiful. Hot showers. We stayed here much longer than we planed ;)

simple budget hotel with rooms on the first floor up from the road. no dedicated parking but hotel has lots of cameras outside and police guard a roundabout nearby. 25000 for a double with twin beds and shared toilet.
