Beautiful grounds and the town is lovely. Locals were all staring as I drove in, so I thought I was going the wrong way for a bit, but everyone I encountered was very friendly.

I came from the south (Francisco Villa). Road is paved but the last couple KM through the village are dirt road. Fine for 2WD, just bumpy.

They seem to have deepened the ditch recently. We have a 4x4, but decided against it. Instead we chose a spot a bit closer to Ruta 9, on the other side of the side road. Very nice.

Very quiet, we walked over to the neighbor next to the parking lot to introduce ourselves since the were outside. They are elderly rv'ers so everything was Allright.

Really good sandwiches, not all but mostly with pan de masa madre, made in house. Also veggie burgers, toasts, pan que que’s etc. Jugos, smoothies, espresso drinks, teas, kombuchas etc. Some postres too. I believe it’s all vegetarian, with vegan options. Honestly only had the “Mahalo” which is the falafel sandwich on an incredible ciabatta de masa madre, but was really surprised how good it was. Highly recommended! check google maps for more fotos and info :)

Mahalo highly recommended! -20.24965, -70.13538

Back park of Reid park near the dog park. Been here since 8am 4 other skoolies here in different spots. This is a spot to use discretion and not abuse. Beautiful area in walking distance to a very inexpensive market “Food City”. Close to zoo, giant park with little ponds, running area, plenty of parking.

Nice little quiet pullout at the pond where you can see others have stayed and had fires. I backed up straight to the edge of the water. There is a large pothole that goes across the whole dirt road right before the second cattle gate, however it is easily passable with I'd say any vehicle. It might look like a mud hole but the bottom is made up of gravel and is hard packed. I drove through expecting to have to gun it but I couldn't even tell I was driving through a mud puddle in the road. I have full bars 4Glte Verizon. It's a little trashed with beer cans but not terrible. Great spot!

We came here with our 20 ft Van, we asked before entering the small entry if they have enough space for us. At first they said yes, but after we arrived at the yard, they changed their minds. Suddenly they needed the space that was intended for us for the guests of the restaurant.
As written in the first comment: really the have only one place for a small camper (that was occupied). We leave for „El Derrumbe“.

Nice little parcel of jungle that they set up to attract as many different animals as possible. We saw more animals during the tour than 5 other days combined. The guides speak English and know a lot. We highly recommend this place.

Best place we camped so far in Costa Rica! Fernando and Vera are lovely and extremely welcoming, they are honest and humble people, taking good care of their property. We stopped here as we were pedaling the hill to go to Arenal, and we're instantly charmed by this beautiful little paradise. We recommend this place 100%.

What a spot, cristal clean water. Like blue , and you can drink it! We learned that during rafting today. (Patagonia elements , really go rafting here, sooo cool! Expensive but once in a lifetime. You get a snack buffer afterwards, pictures and they are super professional with 5 rescue boats! )

Back to the point. Very nice sleeping place for tent or vanns or big riggs. Quit, no people. We fisher almosr got a big big traut. You can walk to the magical place (watch picture) over the fence and follow the path or just to the left on the waterline and you will end up by a waterfall.

I called to ask if overnight was allowed and was told it was okay, just not in front of the store. There is no back parking lot so we just parked with all the semis. We weren't bothered by anyone aside a few truckers parking and going home. Has a nice view of montage behind the store!

There's a laundromat on the strip and a tractor supply that let us use their outside spigot.

This place is special. We tried all the other areas near El Salto but this is where you want to stop. Promise.

$250 a night for two of us in a van. David and his family are extremely welcoming and nice. The property is BEAUTIFUL. Right on the water. It’s so blue it looks fake. Perfect for swimming or SUP to some waterfalls nearby that also look like they’re out of a fairy tale.

The covered patio area is PERFECT for working remotely. It has an outlet, picnic tables, chairs, and is completely shaded with a wonderful breeze. Apparently it was 38 celsius this week and we didn’t notice.

We needed 4 nights to work, stayed for 6. Hard to leave. David also has a taco stand he runs on the weekend.

Sometimes people come to camp at this property too. Everyone was super nice. Good vibes all around. Check my photos to see how crazy beautiful it is.

Ah and PET-FRIENDLY. Our little dog had a blast running around all day and meeting the various dogs in the neighborhood.
