As described, small but absolut great place! Everything clean. Small self-service store with drinks and some little food. We could do the laundry (in a huge machine) for 12soles. Electricity 220V, Wifi average to fast at site (in car), good to do some business as well. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Was pretty noisy during the night. Would be better to park towards the building facility towards the highway. clean and quiet otherwise with security guards.

Nice and beautiful location, several camping pits, drinking water, quiet, used by the boys scouts, so you can only stay one night

Fantastic camp site! Much nicer than the options closer to Mahahual, and fantastic value for money. You can camp just a few metres from the sea on lovely white sand amongst palm trees and well away from the road. We were unlucky with 3 days of strong wind and lots of seaweed, but on a calm day this place would be like paradise. There is a large open room with big picture windows covered in mesh, so you can sit in here and enjoy a breeze and view of the sea but keep away from any bugs or strong wind. Also sun loungers and some hammocks. There is also a kitchen that you can use, and drinking water provided. There is a clean toilet and sink with paper and soap provided (although no toilet seat). There are cold outdoor showers (although water pressure is low). 1 or 2 bars of Telcel - enough for WhatsApp and news, but no more.
There is a nice restaurant (Travel In) a short walk away.
We really enjoyed our stay here. All of this for just 100 pesos per person! 50 for kids.

Stayed here for a night. Seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere - super quiet. On the outside, it looked really nice, however, the bathrooms were disgusting. Huge parking lot where cars and semi's seemed separated, which was nice.

One of the most secluded places we've ever stayed. There's a parking spot in front of the private camping, but we went ahead a little entrance to the right and there was one spot for only one Motorhome there. No one else was there apart from people in the camping that would come to the pier for water.
It's very impressive to sleep literally in front of the lake and pier. Awesome stay. There are no amenities.

Nice spot ! We came here after being told it was prohibited to sleep in town. Lots of campers so there were not much spaces, we went a bit closer to the road but it was really quiet with a nice view over the sea.

A lot of people but managed to grab one spot before sunset. Very bumpy road but there were RVs with the trailers tumbling so much. I also saw a couple sedans so I guess it's doable, but my SUV seemed more adapted. Great verizon service. I spent 2 days there and explored the trails around which were easily reachable by bike (as to keep my spot hehe)

I had to have my brakes repaired, which I realized while driving through Mulage. I saw Salvador on here and stopped. He's a very good mechanic. really fair price, and hard worker. I wholly recommend recommend him.

I had to stay here with my van was being worked on and really enjoyed the place. It's clean (they rake and clean each spot after a camper leaves), they have three bath/ shower houses around the park, and they do have a hot water. Bathrooms and showers are clean. It's a nice place right on the river and only about a mile walk or drive from the lighthouse. The restaurant has good margaritas (careful they are strong), good food, everyone is very friendly.

Positive surprise! Quiet night with nice environment. We changed our wheels here on a flat rocky area. In the morning locals came to shovel sand but they didn’t bother us. Plenty of space.

Paid 26 euros at arrival. The website asks you for your credit card information to make a reservation but it won't take your money. Rated best large hostel in the world apparently.
Has live music events and comfortable beds. On the pricier side but cheapest that I found around Venice. The let me park my motorcycle for free in a secure place.

Pulled up in time for sunset, was really pretty. Not too many parking spots available for big rigs, we woke up early in the morning (Saturday) and we found we were quite in the way of the boaters, so we repositioned ourselves while we ate breakfast. Still great spot for a quick overnight!

Note: long gravel road to get here from south side.

Signs were put up this morning indicating overnight parking is no longer allowed. (See photo — the new sign is the one on the left.) Most campers left after the signs were installed.

The signs may have been paid for and installed by the neighbors. And, the neighbors may be paying police to help with enforcement (asking campers to pay a fine if they break the “rules” listed on the signs).

The signs were NOT installed by the federal government. If they were, they’d have a ZOFEMAT logo on them. See photo — the sign on the right was authorized by ZOFEMAT, and has a ZOFEMAT logo.

My understanding is that the neighbors don’t own the land and, legally, can’t regulate it.

Same today. Told us we have no light and have to pay a fine. But we had lights on. Told us these are the wrong ones. Had some discussion but at the end he let us go without a fine…

7000 pp/PN for us. Actually not ideal for roof tent, vans or bigger rigs, as limited space for vehicles in the perimeter. Lovely and quiet once the day trippers have gone…. Until the massive extended family arrive, set up right next to us, and chat loudly until 3am. Probably just unlucky one this count.

Spend 1 night on Marigny street in our camper van. No signs and very quiet and safe. We visited by walking a the french quarter and more. Very close to the French Market. I would suggest to not stay longer than 2 nights, leave in the morning and stay stealth. Not motorhome friendly, please respect the residents or this spot will be closed soon.

Price - R361 for a night and an extra R68 for park entrance
How to Book - book on the SANParks website https://www.sanparks.org/parks/mountain_zebra/
Unique things - well, you're in a park, can't beat that
Ablutions - look like they have been updated and fairly decent, 4 showers, 2 Baths for men
Better sites - all of them are pretty similar, some don't have taps near
Access - off main road 1,8km and another 16km to campsite. Lots of ruts 6.5/10
Internet - intermittent

This was the nicest Walmart I've ever been in and the parking lot was absolutely empty at night. I went out of my way to stay here because the crime rate was really low in this area according to county crime maps. I accidentally left my headlights on all night and I was not bothered at all. The entire town was asleep by midnight. The town is really peaceful and the people are nice. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We arrived at 4 PM. it s same a nice and quiet place. Unfortunately around 9pm the police arrived and told us that it is now dangerous to be here. There have been armed assaults on tourists.Everybody have to move from here. He invited us to go to Camping Municipal a little further. safe place because there is also a police station.

We moved here from the further Pin north after the police told us he wasn't sure. Now the price is 100 pp. Nice Owner. There is also a police station in the camping area. Bathrooms and a power outlet between the bathroom and the police station.

Quiet unpaved section of Keith road. Stayed here 3 nights and weren't bothered, and no signs prohibiting overnight parking. You can hear a bit of noise from the highway, but it's far enough away that it's not bothersome.
