We stayed there for three days in the middle of very old trees.

cultivatingfireoffical.com | Fantastic area with plenty of semi-level parking and scattered fire rings! Some roads require 4x4 and high clearance but many are accessible to all vehicles. Neat hiking trails along the East side of Saddle Mountain!

Una noche en este aparcamiento! Muy bien situado, buena vista, calma, juegos para los ninos ! 4 motorhomes estuvieron aqui, entonces, nos sentimos en seguridad. |

simpson.anetta | Great place for quick stopover. Pascal wasn't there, but another man named Patrick welcomed us right away. He knew what we needed, told us where to park, and showed us the toilets. Burgers for dinner, beer on tap. Music was loud until 11 or midnight on a Thursday. Lots of mosquitos! Room for multiple vehicles. Good Airtel signal. |

runawayrinaldis1 | It is a very clean and well maintained campground, big rig friendly. We fit easily with our 42' 5th wheel. We paid $320 for 10 days staying on the 2nd row from the beach. the first row gets taken up by the seasonal people. The park is mostly filled with Americans and Canadians. I don't recommend getting your camper washed/waxed by Jesus, he won't finish the job but will keep asking for more money, over a week later and we are still trying to get all the wax off that he left. Jorge (the owner) is very friendly. Washer and Dryer is 50 pesos each, so 100 pesos a load. Bathrooms and showers were clean. |

Advanturetom | Definitely not closed to overnight parking. Went inside and talked with manager. They never had security, so not sure why it’s marked as closed. Several vans here tonight. |

duggmann | Dry camping on the beach. Palapa is 200 pesos, no palapa 100 pesos. My palapa came free with a junk gas grill, which I lugged over to the central palapa that was literally filled with junk. Caretaker needs to use some of the fee money for gas in his 4WD Ford pickup and haul the junk away, then this would be a nice spot. Two scary looking outhouses. The south road in is steep and rough, but I did it in a 25' class c no problem. North road is no problem. Water is beautiful and clear, nice beach-combing. |

Roadtraventures | A beautiful spot next to Tziscao lake on walking distance to the Guatemalan border. It starts to get quiet around 9pm until 6.30am when some workers arrived. You have to pay 30 pesos per person to visit the lakes but no one asked money for staying here overnight.

Roadtraventures | It's a beautiful spot really close to Las Nubes. We really recommend doing the 1580m hike right after the bridge on the right, it gives a much bigger view of Las Nubes than the one next to the restaurant. Be careful for snakes, we saw one next to the rocks when you go down to the waterfall. Also at night you can see fireflies everywhere! |

ezpeezy | Great little laundromat! Super friendly. 150 pesos per load. We did all of our laundry including clothing, towels, bedding, etc and it came out to 450 pesos. Would definitely recommend |

Ker | We pulled into this spot after dark but decided that the ground was too soft for our campervan (we almost got stuck). Ultimately we camped right beside the highway which was rather noisy. I highly recommend approaching this area in the daylight as it is difficult to find a good site after dark. I accidentally lost my special prescription eye glasses behind when I tripped in the dark and did not realize they were lost until we were hundreds of miles away. I thought that they were lost forever but a very, very kind iOverlander user saw my note about this site and made it her mission to find my lost glasses. Glasses have been found and I am so thankful to iOverlander and this kind individual. |

sanchez.juang23 | Excelente lugar para dormir. A menos de 1 km de la ruta 14.
Excellent place to sleep. Less than 1 km from Route 14. The neighbors let me put up a tent. there are several options to choose from. It can also be next to a church 500 meters away |

eriknjenga | Good campsite with decent facilities but the campgrounds are pretty small and you’ll struggle if more than 2 campers. Laundry services, restaurant and a Kitchen area with electricity available. The location is about 25 minutes from the tarmac road so just factor that in your planning. Friendly owner! |

leolapouge | One person made us sleep in a caravan with several rooms containing mattresses and possibility to charge phones and battery. We were 6 cyclists and all got a free bed.
If the guy want to make you pay, I asked to the police guy and you can put your tent in the garden next to it, and use the kitchen and toilet as well. Conclusion, you will be able to find a place to sleep in this area protected from the wind! |
