This beautiful garden will be newly restored by Mr. Forses.
Before you enter the garden , please contact „Green butterfly“ +233 24 653 4250.
English and also German are spoken.

We stayed there for three days in the middle of very old trees.
There are now 4 wonderful places for Overlanders. You can use toilet and shower.
You pay 75 GHS per vehicle for one night.

Fantastic area with plenty of semi-level parking and scattered fire rings! Some roads require 4x4 and high clearance but many are accessible to all vehicles. Neat hiking trails along the East side of Saddle Mountain!
AT&T service is just OK, plenty of sun for solar, and RV Starlink works great except during peak hours (4-9pm)

Great place for quick stopover. Pascal wasn't there, but another man named Patrick welcomed us right away. He knew what we needed, told us where to park, and showed us the toilets. Burgers for dinner, beer on tap. Music was loud until 11 or midnight on a Thursday. Lots of mosquitos! Room for multiple vehicles. Good Airtel signal.

It is a very clean and well maintained campground, big rig friendly. We fit easily with our 42' 5th wheel. We paid $320 for 10 days staying on the 2nd row from the beach. the first row gets taken up by the seasonal people. The park is mostly filled with Americans and Canadians. I don't recommend getting your camper washed/waxed by Jesus, he won't finish the job but will keep asking for more money, over a week later and we are still trying to get all the wax off that he left. Jorge (the owner) is very friendly. Washer and Dryer is 50 pesos each, so 100 pesos a load. Bathrooms and showers were clean.

Definitely not closed to overnight parking. Went inside and talked with manager. They never had security, so not sure why it’s marked as closed. Several vans here tonight.

Dry camping on the beach. Palapa is 200 pesos, no palapa 100 pesos. My palapa came free with a junk gas grill, which I lugged over to the central palapa that was literally filled with junk. Caretaker needs to use some of the fee money for gas in his 4WD Ford pickup and haul the junk away, then this would be a nice spot. Two scary looking outhouses. The south road in is steep and rough, but I did it in a 25' class c no problem. North road is no problem. Water is beautiful and clear, nice beach-combing.

A beautiful spot next to Tziscao lake on walking distance to the Guatemalan border. It starts to get quiet around 9pm until 6.30am when some workers arrived. You have to pay 30 pesos per person to visit the lakes but no one asked money for staying here overnight.
Ps: There's some yellow Cabanas and next to it you can use the toilet when the public toilet is closed. There's only cell service from Guatemala so you can't use Telcel celular service.

It's a beautiful spot really close to Las Nubes. We really recommend doing the 1580m hike right after the bridge on the right, it gives a much bigger view of Las Nubes than the one next to the restaurant. Be careful for snakes, we saw one next to the rocks when you go down to the waterfall. Also at night you can see fireflies everywhere!

The location is excellent, the most beautiful view of Prado, the sunrise is wonderful!! Owners are very friendly and helpful. Wifi is good! It's pet friendly.
Bathroom and kitchen facilities are precarious, like most campsites in this region, unfortunately. The water is dark and has an unpleasant odor, so we didn't fill our water tank.
Price in Feb/2023: 45 reais per person.

Water is available during winter but not the dumping station. Road is not plowed but we could walk to water pump with a jug to fill up on drinking water.

Dead-end dirt road into the forest, open for a nice space for camp. great place to stop and travel Chimanimani. Completely unvisible from the road. Big rigs could find it difficult to turn around

Parked on the grass area next to a few restaurants. There was another camper parked next to us. Across from a soccer field. Nice spot and free.

We pulled into this spot after dark but decided that the ground was too soft for our campervan (we almost got stuck). Ultimately we camped right beside the highway which was rather noisy. I highly recommend approaching this area in the daylight as it is difficult to find a good site after dark. I accidentally lost my special prescription eye glasses behind when I tripped in the dark and did not realize they were lost until we were hundreds of miles away. I thought that they were lost forever but a very, very kind iOverlander user saw my note about this site and made it her mission to find my lost glasses. Glasses have been found and I am so thankful to iOverlander and this kind individual.

Excelente lugar para dormir. A menos de 1 km de la ruta 14.
Los vecinos me dejaron armar carpa. hay varias opciones para elegir. Tambien se puede al lado de una iglesia a 500 mts.

Fees are high but worth it. Pay the extra fees and do the Baker trail. You get to see both sides of the falls. The road is all tarmac now.

Good campsite with decent facilities but the campgrounds are pretty small and you’ll struggle if more than 2 campers. Laundry services, restaurant and a Kitchen area with electricity available. The location is about 25 minutes from the tarmac road so just factor that in your planning. Friendly owner!

Senegal to Gambia
It has been a very easy border for us. On the Senegalese side everything went very smoothly without any payement.
On the Gambian side we were asked to pay 5.000CFA for the passavant (we don't have a CDP) and also 5.000CFA for a stamp. We told them we knew it was free and that we would not pay without receipt. After some minutes we could go without any payment.

One person made us sleep in a caravan with several rooms containing mattresses and possibility to charge phones and battery. We were 6 cyclists and all got a free bed.
But be careful, from what I understood, 2 people running this site are doing 2 weeks rotations each. 1 makes cyclists pay to make money, the other one not.
So it's the latter that I had, super nice guy, we can use the toilet and the kitchen. I really recommend it!

If the guy want to make you pay, I asked to the police guy and you can put your tent in the garden next to it, and use the kitchen and toilet as well.

Conclusion, you will be able to find a place to sleep in this area protected from the wind!

Small, quaint laundry place. Plenty of washers and about 11 dryers. Felt very safe, there are active cameras that cover every corner of this laundromat.
