Don't sleep down to the bank of the river. We had all the night rain and to nivel of the river was much higher. Be careful!

very nice campground with very friendly owner. clean, hot showers and covered sites. you can buy very good eggs.

Welcome respite after the climbs from Cerro Castillo.

Nice place by the water side. Great sunset! Space for many vehicles and/or tents but was pretty quiet when we were there. Many places to cook/build fire/set up BBQ. Places to buy food on either side of the walking bridge, though both closed when we were there off season. During the day people come to relax on the beach or hike, only met locals/Argentinians. Hikes were simple but fun!

Agree with all. previous comments . Price today was 90 for a matrimony room. Also note that the entry door is on Amazonas street

Great campground with the option of getting a dedicated campsite or stay on the beach. Well maintained facility.

 
We slept here 3 nights, so calm! nobody bothered us. Potable water on the square and good wifi. Free.

This is a great place to spend the night in León! Registration was very simple and took less than 5 min. They do hold your ID overnight and you just have to get it back from the office when you leave. It cost $62 MXN per person per night and their website recommends arriving before 6pm. It seems like tent camping would be fine in the “bosque” but we had to park our truck with rooftop tent in the parking lot next to the wooded area. This is a busy metro park and people will be walking/running/riding the paths during all open hours (6am-10pm) but it was fun to interact with the passersby and enjoy the trails ourselves. Great bird and sunset watching on the lake, also great for a night view of the cityscape. Lots of snack food vendors around and in walking distance of city restaurants. Very peaceful at night and we felt safe with the overnight guard who made a show of riding his bike and shining his flashlight in the bushes. Other overlanding friends stayed here a few days later and enjoyed their experience as well!

This is a charming little campground $200 per night for our Sprinter van. Clean bathrooms and showers and wearing macinescoming soon. I'd defietly back to this gem of a camp and town. Loved it!!!

A lot of spots before and behind the steel bridge. Easy accessible, only some places need high clearance, no 4WD required. Could be a party location on summer weekends, quite a lot glass around. Quiet, dark, almost no traffic, we were alone. Officially you have to register before coming here-no chance to do so if coming from East.

Beautiful spot 2 bars verizon. Clean. Didn’t find the pit toilet. Large enough for any rig.

I spend there one night.
Only one old dog anymore. Quiet and safe (there were 2 guards!). A really nice a spacious kitchen with all you need.
Unfortunately not much room for rigs.
I found a small area for my tent and landcruiser on the left side when you enter.
But don't choose this one, because it was just underneath a nest of pigeons that were very noisy from 4 am onwards.
They have a lot of animals to see. Even a monkey, pigs.
The hosts were very freindly and helpful, even though they have problems to smile (like many people in Yucatan).

It’s right on the road. There are no parking meters and no signs that say No Parking. There is traffic and my vans getting rocked a little.

Easy access, can dump from either side. Dump station signs on the road.

Adriano is Italian, and speaks excellent English.
He is very experienced, has a very well equipped and clean workshop, and works strictly "to the books"!
He told me that he will repair everything, except maybe another Landcruiser 200, because he had enough of our one ;).
He is very busy, so better to call ahead!

Inlet camping was awesome! Saw rockets, cruise ships, and a rare submarine! Inlet has only water hookup but plenty of sun for solar.

Very good experience on the realization of an aluminium box, not fast but conscientious. Very good price

Camping com muito espaço. Energia, banheiros (não muito limpos) e muita área com sombra. A ducha tem horário e não gostamos. Uma vala passa do lado e o masculino estava entupido. Passamos somente 1 noite com barraca.

This is a gem of a place, ablutions are old but always clean, the view is amazing and the staff are very friendly

We were originally at Walmart, but the Security Guard send us away, it’s not allowed anymore . But she said that Home Depot across the street they allow it! We stayed there for the night, no problem at all!

Separate section of the parking lot off to the side by the garden center. Quiet, flat, away from the road, grassy area. Only a few others overnight.

Felt safe; some other people camping but not too crowded. Locals coming and going, largely to use the boat ramp to go fishing. Some soft sand — a van got stuck and we helped them get out. Absolutely no issues with Starlink. Bad service with Google Fi, not usable for Zoom calls.

Large camping area near Rock climbing spot. Great for hiking also. We saw monkeys, donkeys, dogs, cats, foxes, Blue lizards and huge birds. There is a sign that camping is allowed. Police came by on the 4th day to check on us but said it's OK to stay here. Toilets with water available but not in great condition.

A good place for a shower. But I asked for an overnight but unfortunately they do not want.

This is the famous Lee Flat, home to one of the best Joshua Tree forests, BTW, it's not an "open field" and they are not "funny looking palm trees"
Dispersed camping is permitted with DVNP entrance permit.

This is a Riverside Co. run park. It has a full water park for kids and a man-made lake. The park itself is beautiful. The people who camp there are not as nice. They have no respect for keeping it clean as there was a ton of trash just in our immediate space. At night, a large fight broke out and we actually took cover because I anticipated there might be shots fired - luckily there weren't any. Maybe we just picked a bad day, but we're not going back anytime soon.
