Had a very quiet night, guarded by the friendly owners‘ dogs. Clean bathroom, hot shower. Didn’t see any pools, but we couldn’t go very far into the campsite, we had to stay right at the entrance because of our height and the low trees.

A great Rv Park close to the national park. It has a coworking space, showers, kitchen, bathrooms and Wi-Fi. There is a Rugby club and an equestrian center.
Suitable for large rv. Laura and Adolfo, their owners, are super friendly and the place is super safe.

Very pretty swath of BLM land on a plateau overlooking the valley N of Milan. Great cell signal, no local traffic, some highway and train noise. Take the highway overpass W of the transfer station, continue towards the Cibola National Forest. There's a dirt road that forks south (your left coming from the overpass) 100 yards before the cattle guard that marks the border. Looks like it used to be blocked by a cable, but it was open at the time of this post. Road follows the NF border (on the BLM side, there's a fence delineating the actual border) for about a mile. There's turnout halfway with a good view, and a big turnout at the end that's more wind sheltered. Made it easily in a '78 Step van, but I don't recommend anything longer than 25' or trailers due to limited turnaround. Road won't be passable after heavy rain. All spots along this road are in BLM land if you don't have a reference map.
Overall, some prime public lands camping and a great spot if you have to get some remote work done. LNT my friends!

On a hillside set back from the town. There is town noise. The campsite is very pleasant with grass and shade from trees. The ablutions work but some toilets are without seats. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a good stopover to and from Malawi.

cozy, quiet spot with okay T-Mobile reception. It does go in and out.

I got in late last night and was able to find a comfortable spot. There are other campers within eye shot. Pretty good distance apart.

I found an abandoned dog this morning, seems as if the owners have been living here for about seven months. They have neglected their dog, and it runs freely to other peoples campsites. Super sweet golden named Tanner. It just looks so lost and confused. It’s absolutely devastating and heartbreaking, I travel with two dogs myself, and I would never abandon them. After having the dog hang around for several hours, I called the police about 30 minutes ago and I’m still waiting for them to arrive.
If there is solution to this abandoned dog issue, I will not be staying. I cannot handle this type of neglect. It’s devastating.
To any ‘human’ out there who feels the need to abuse or abandon their animals, you don’t deserve to wander this planet and I hope you fall of the face of the earth.

Fantastic place to do some shopping. There is also a Java Cafe and other restaurants. Big parking at the back of the mall. We just made it with our 3.6m high car through the entrance gate.

Arrived yesterday in a 23 feet camper and just woke up. Had a good night, nobody bothered me. Good wifi inside the building. There’s also a nice trail that leads to the mountains.

Cool old factory of textiles that was closed down in 1986.
Now part of it is used as a hospital and foundation for drug rehabilitation.
The hospital and rehab part is at the back far end.

You can go through the gare and take photos no problem. Spoke to locals.
Also there is a museum in town about the history. Ask for Carlos Plata in the small town.

24 hour coin operated laundromat. $2 for a load in the wash and $0.25 per 5 minutes in the drier. Also has detergent, bleach, and fabric softener available for $1 each.
There is no bathrooms at this location and they have signs directing you to nearby businesses if you need to use one. It’s the only laundromat within less than an hour away from the Badlands.

50BL to wash the car in 30min.
When we came back the car was dirty and the chassis too.
So we ended up washing the car ourselves... chassis included to effectively remove all the salt. The roof had not been made.
The man only took care of the windows...

I was very lucky to have found this place at booking.com. The place has all you need, is very comfy and very affordable. But most of all, Gregor, the owner, is a Motorbike Enduro Rider and knows all the good local spots for Offroad riding. He took me around for one day and it was amazing!! He also let me park my bike in his Garage. I strongly recommend this place for motorbike travelers!

This is a beach restaurant with camping. There is a grassy area for tents, and also an area near the entrance for vans etc. There are also ready-erected tents. It was very peaceful here in early May and the call to prayer didn't ever wake us up. There are lovely views across the bay. There are hot showers, clean toilets, and a washing up area (cold water only). There are fridges and freezers. There are electricity points scattered around the campsite and they helpfully supplied extension cables without us asking. The staff we met don't really speak English, but they're very friendly and helpful. It cost us 400 lira per night for two people and a tent.

City water at Pemex station in the area reserved for discharging fuel. Speak to the attendant first and ask for permission.

You are not allowed to park near the water tap. However they have a hose which you can extend with your own hose if you have the right fitting. Take the parking spot closest to the big green bin.

Amazing campsite, one of our favorite in SA. Its very rustic so dont expect much but you really have the feeling of beeing in nature, in the middle of a forest pine trees. Campsites are very apart from each other and it gives a lot of privacy, something that is missing in most SA' campings. No power and nothing at sites, just a pit fire. Ablutions are quite simple too but functioning. There is a reservoir where u can swim in summer and have fun. The walk to the waterfall is gorgeous and that would be again such a nice place to hang out in the heat of summer. We were there in winter so not very keen for a swim but it looked amazing ! There is even a few places to lay down on some flat rocks next to the creek... Really nice place to chill.
You better book in advance though. We arrived there without notice and found a closed electric gate. We were lucky that the owner's father John (super friendly guy) arrived at the same time and he could welcomed us in the campground... If not, we might have left elsewhere.
Really a jewl of a campsite.
150pp. Firewood 50R. Good 4G signal, enough for Youtube.
