We changed CFA to Naira here. It’s almost impossible to get cash at banks & atms so make sure you exchange enough cash for the entire trip.

Official campground. There is a hut with a ranger who checks your tickets, you can purchase new one if your current one doesnt cover all the trek.
Bathroom inside the hut, closed at night. There is also water spigot, it is said to be potable.
Not really flat, lots of donkeys and their droppings.

Amazing place, relatively easy to get to from the main road. Access is free but we did a 1-hour tour with Lupe who is am amazing person. Lupe is a volunteer that keeps this place going.

This place and the tour was one of our Baja highlights.

The tour is donation-based. From talking to other people it seems that a donation of MX$100-200 per person is fair.

If you drive super slow on the washboard it will take you about 20 minutes from the main road. The place is right before entering a small village, near the cemetery - hard to miss. If Lupe is not there, it is best to wait for him. So don't worry. He drives a motorcycle. You can also open the gate and wander around the sanctuary.

If you plan to spend the night here, search for a flat spot (there are some bricks around). You don't need special permission to stay here overnight. There are a lot of tall trees so if you have a fixed mounted Starlink it will be bearly impossible to get service.

Apparently on weekends there is some music from the village but our night was quiet.

There is a flush toilets as well as a water tap with clean mountain water so you can fill up a water jug.

We did a tour with Lupe which was great.

Came here from sunset crater NP on our way to Grand Canyon NP, great spot, pretty flat, lots of space, free. Not so much internet one with T-Mobile.
We park in the back, arrived at 6pm, and left around 9pm very good night of sleep not so much noise.
Some other camper and trailer arrived later after us.

We checked out the non really amazing baobab and drove a little further. We didn’t stayed here cause of too many kids.
We drove a little further and entered the bush on the left to find ourselves a perfectly quiet spot with open view of the sunset. You can hear the road but it kinda quiet.

Great place to stay in the area. Secure at night, the owner lives across the street. 5$ per night for two of us and the van. Only a short walk to the community Lisan Wasi. In the mornings, you have the place for yourself and can enjoy a cold shower with a view on the jungle. Bathroom and ice cream available, fast Wi-Fi as well. Swimming in the river is cold but nice!

Nice rest stop, saw a couple of other people there that looked to be staying the night as well. It's right next to the highway so road noise is to get expected.

There are many campsites along the river. We will recommend 9, 16 or 17. Lovely trees to camp under on the river bank. We were walk in tourists and paid the following: SADEC US50 pppn camping fee + US$15 pppn conservation fee + US$3.00 for our camper foreign registration. We were told the prices are different every month!! This is a steep price! The ablutions are rundown with solar geysers so not always hot water. Only one toilet is working at the ladies side.
Baboons and monkeys keep bothering you and stealing food at every opportunity! So beware!
The sunrise and sunset views over the river and the mountains on the Zambian side were beautiful though!

We spend two nights in this gas station and we found water without buy gas.
Mr Marcos, restaurante owner, is a kind and friendly person.
He offered us special space to parked!
We recommend.

Spent 2 night here, 10t truck squeezed in, no probs. Super location on the river, foc canoos, sweet chicken and dogs plus the friendly bush babies around the site. 125pppn is good value. Kids half price. Option to eat along and use the kitchen too.

Very handy for the I95. A little noise at night from trains hooting. Really nice lady and nice of her to offer this space. Pleasant park just up the street if you want to sit out.

small rec site - we have a 20ft van and that's as big as I'd bring back here. all the spots are narrow & not very wide. they do have picnic tables & a pit toilet. only one spot has access to the beach area. only ones here, starting to get buggy.

Coming from Cenote Chucumaltic we stopped here on our way to the Guatemalan boarder. We checked with customer service in Walmart who told us it would be fine to park overnight. Friendly and curious people around, security was patrolling all the time. The day after we visited Tenam-Puente and after we learned that we could not stay overnight there, came back to this parking lot. Also second night no issues.

6-8 camping spots on state land down by the river. Drive over the bridge turn right (south) on county road 50. A few hundred feet in make a right turn into Hot Sulphur Springs SWA - Joe Gerrans Unit.

8-10 campsites with steel fire places and 2 porta+potties beside the creek.

A really good campsite near Santiago de Chile. we felt very comfortable with Mathias, the owner, for a few days. From the outside there is no sign that points to the campsite. But it's worth honking your horn loudly to camp very safely and relaxed. the campsite has very clean and really really hot showers. you stand on the lawn and look into the well-tended garden. Mathias even lent us his private washing machine. the price is 20,000 per day for two people and a truck. we can absolutely recommend the place.

Like said before, doesn’t matter what the local wishes are. This is crown land. I myself am a local and use this spot regularly to camp in my truck when kayaking. My wishes are that anyone who is responsible and respectful of the land to enjoy it as they please.

Stayed 1 night between days at RMNP. Not much more than a parking lot with hook-ups, but not many options in this area. Still $15 for a spot with no hook-ups. Not quite half full on a Tuesday in May. Shower was great, hot water & great pressure. Decent TMobile service.

quiet town but nice campground. unfortunately no pool or mini golf open but the drinks at the bar were cheap! $71 for p&w for 2 nights. Had to book online since office isn’t on site. Train railway is right across the road so very loud throughout day and night.
