Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Leandro e sua equipe, que nos deixou muito à vontade. Fica em um posto de combustíveis logo na entrada da cidade. estivemos ali por mais de uma semana. Ate the food at this highly-rated restaurant. They are famous for their soup. The owner was very personal and had lived in San Diego for 28 years. she has this beautiful restaurant in Coban. She asked me if I was staying at hotel. I told her I was overlander with RTT. She let me stay for free. Except steak, majority dish prices less than 70Q. Highly recommend eating here.

As described however there is a large pile of gravel, a large metal container, a portable office and a large tree chopper truck in lot (looks temporary for local road work) so half the lot is full. still room for 4 medium RVs.

as we can’t really make reservations ahead due to the fact that we are traveling and never know exactly when we will be where, we just showed up there on a Sunday at noon. We were greeted most friendly bz the only (!) staff member, no one else gehre, restaurant closed. On a Sunday. We could haven joined the museum tour at 3 pm, but the price?!? 11.500 pesos per person, about 22 €?!? Come on! Our friends tried to book a room which would include bodega tour, wine degustation and museum tour, but it was sold out for the next days. So we just stayed on the fancy parking lot and had lunch in our motor homes. Then we drove the very bad 14 km of “ripio” back to Molinos.
To sum it up: for us absolutely NOT worth it.

hot showers: 6 in women’s, 6 in men’s— $3 for 8 mins w/private changing rooms.
laundromat:
3 standard washers $2.50/1 standard washer for $1.50
4 dryers $0.25/4 mins and 1 dryer $2.00 (not sure how many mins)
both are open 8am-8pm

Few restaurants on this road, but found this one which had very decent food.
It is located by the plaza, in the middle of the street. There is no indication that it is a restaurant, apart for the 2 tables outside.
Lunch was ceviche & pasta the day I was there.

Amazing food and location very busy on the weekend .

Great playground for toddlers, and a breakaway from the road. There is also a splash play area which is really nice and clean. And outdoor workout area. Pinic tables and washroom. Good parking conditions. Open from May till October.

Calm parking lot, but noisy neighborhoods during the evening. Turned quiet at night. No issues. Would recommend.

Haven't seen any "No camping"-Sign, so we decided to stay. It's a nice place. We have not found a pit toilet, just some nice flat places to pitch our tent and some firerings. Very quiet, just one car passed the road along the lake, while we stayed.

Hot showers for a great price! Still $4. Check-in at the office and get a ticket. Showers could definitely be updated but I’m clean!

Good place for dumping. Big gravel lot, easy for all size of rigs.

We have camped at this spot 3 times now over the last few years. This is the first year we noticed a huge change! They have done a lot of updates to this spot. There is now a bathroom and garbage bins. Fire pits and picnic benches. The river has gone up a ton probably due to flooding. You used to be able to walk down to the river and go for a swim. It’s way to high now. There aren’t any signs indicating that you can’t stay overnight. It looks like it’s been very well maintained since the last time we were here :)

Une grande clairière non loin de la route mais calme. Malheureusement, qui sert un peu trop de toilette publique. Mais acceptable pour passer la nuit. Accessible seulement pour les vans et petits véhicules.

Quiet place not far from the road. Unfortunately, serves a little too much as a public toilet. But acceptable for overnight stay. Accessible only for vans and small vehicles.

Local aberto, ao lado do Batalhão da PM. Pernoite, porém o posto abre as 7h da manhã. Local bem seguro.

Nice spots by the river with multiple pullout by the side of an old road. the road makes a loop.
WATCH OUT the road has partially collapsed near the pinned point!

1,500 Afghan or $17 per night for a “VIP” room with breakfast. Amazing guys working here, helped me out a lot with everything, one guy became my unofficial guide and showed me the whole city. Western toilets. Could be best valued hotel in Afghanistan

This is the starting point in the village of the teleferico.
10000 cop per person to go and come back. Very cool amd nice views from the top

Nice and quiet place even during weekend. We were 2 trucks parked and the neighboors are very friendly. You can leave the van here and go walking everywhere.
