Amazing spot, really.
You can be seen from the road and a local himba or 2 might pass by, there are really friendly and don’t want to bother.

You can park on the sand close to the river, a little bit further away the sand in hard and the view is still amazing.

We were able to swim while being careful though.

Stayed here for three nights, on a little parking spot right by the beach.
The ranger’s office/cabin can be seen from here and we never got a knock. The guy from the information center said it was ok to park and stay there.

There’s a huge trash can but a sign says you should take back your trash.

Beautiful spot for whale watching :)

(We came off season so R42, from here to Puerto Madryn was closed. We had to take the loop around R1 and R2)

Great spot. Very beautiful and clean. $10 per tent. Kayak rental for $20 and you can use them your whole stay. The restaurant is closed, but the bathrooms and shower are open and very clean. No WIFI. Beautiful river. There was a huge crocodile in the river in the morning. Lots of space.

Excellent place to stay! 150pesos per person and all the facilities you need. Off season it is really quiet.

Great quiet spot! Has multiple parking spaces, some picnic tables, located in the back of the building. It also has a big garbage container. At the front of the building there is a dump station and potable water you can refill!

Over all great place to rest, sleep , refill and empty your rig!

We stood on this RV park for 3 days. The owner and his team from Switzerland take care of the guests very conscientiously. All our wishes were fulfilled and we felt very comfortable. We were able to cool off in the swimming pool, the kitchen was fantastic and the evenings very fun.

Rest area with bathrooms and plenty of parking. Three bars of AT&T.

Now called Parqueaderi el 8. They charged us 50000 for 24h. We could go out and come back with the van during those 24h which was great.
Very safe and pretty quiet at night. Also close to the bus station. You can reach el Museo de oro for instance in 35min.

Nice place, wifi is slow and usable only around the office area and laundry room. We spent an enjoyable 2 nights here.

This is a fantastic family of moto and RV travelers selling parts, welcoming parking in front of their store. They sell batteries, basic parts, belts, and know everyone in town if you need more than they have in stock.
They also let us park safely in front of their store for the night. This is a huge green space. Beautiful little town. Amazing people.

Nous y avons passé une nuit. Accueil pas très chaleureux. Accès très difficile avec un véhicule de 8 mètres (descente +virage très raide). On a touché alors qu’on a une garde au sol haute. Parking sur gros cailloux. Piscine sympa. Prix: 60 000 COP par nuit pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants (négocié car on nous demandais 80 000).

passamos uma noite aqui. foi bem seguro e tranquilo, com pouco barulho exceto da rodovia, porém se ficar por trás do restaurante acredito que será mais silencioso. o pessoal da pista é bem amigável.

El acceso al camping es muy malo. Son 2 km de puro terror. Por la noche llovió mucho y nos costó salir del camping a la carretera.
Los servicios de ducha y baño son malos.
La piscina es rica y los dueños amables.

Si tienes un 4x4 es una buena opción, si vienes con un furgón o otro vehículo pesado 4x2 no lo recomiendo.

beautiful campsite on the lake. Rooms are also available. The ablutions have recently been renewed. Beautiful swimming pool with a view over the lake. There are giraffes, zebras and several other animals. The restaurant has good food and friendly service. An early breakfast can be made on request. We meet the owner Peter at the border. He helped us very well there. Very friendly and helpful, someone we won't soon forget.

nice campground with drop toilets and fire rings. no showers or power. may be too early in the season to have to pay since we couldn’t find anywhere to check in and no one said anything to us.

A wonderful campsite tucked away in what feels like someone's smallholding. There are plenty of trees for shade, flowers, chickens, veg patch etc. There's a proper kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing up sinks and a free gas hob. The showers are hot, and the toilets are clean. We paid 150 lira per person in a tent.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay. Hannington and Gorreti are lovely hosts and Robert is the chef that provides great meals.
We had Elephants and Waterbucks roaming on the grounds on a daily basis.
From here we cycled out to the Chimp tracking (8km one way), an excursion we can highly recommend.

TJ to UZ. TJ: very easy process. Soldiers ask us to get in front of the queue. One soldier was from Wakhan Valley so we exchanged good spots to visit. UZ side searched the car a bit more in detail than we were used to. The car got registered on their computer but I got no TIP paper despite asking twice for this. And rightly so, when we exited UZ a week later we were not asked for this. All in all less than two hours for the total border crossing.

Beautiful spot. Not super level, clean toilets, no water. We couldn't figure out how or where to pay though and no one came by!

Definitely a lot of trash left after a family party left. The water is refreshing though on a hot day and i jumped in multiple times. I got lucky and talked with the owner of the property who let me enter free but I think he was going to charge me 15 Quetzales before. Ok camp spot, secure and the water is lovely

Good site in Waterfront. Nice view. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice ambience. Friendly and attentive staff. Varied menu suitable for kiddies too. Light meals, salads, pizzas, variety of meat and seafood options. Breakfast 9:30-11:00 N$45-100, Light meals served all day, pancake 40 to burger 110, salads average price 100, main course from N$150 for vegetarian paella to N$290 for 4 lobster. we camp with our tente for 2 peoples, it's flat but the ground is hard but confortable.. there was 2 campervan. vert quiet place.

Nous avons passé plusieurs nuits ici étalées sur une semaine.

L’endroit est vraiment beau, vert et au bord de la rivière pour s’y promener. Tables de picnic et même un toilette. Très calme la plupart du temps même si bruyant le soir parfois (des personnes venant assez tard avec de la musique).

Des policiers en patrouilles sont venus à 2 reprises nous voir mais étaient très gentils, juste nous avertissant que le parc ferme normalement à 23h (comme tous les parcs de l’île de Montréal) mais tant qu’il n’y a pas de plainte du voisinage la nuit, nous n’aurons aucun problème à rester.

On recommande fortement cet espace de nature aux portes de Montréal !

Beautiful campsite, bit astounded that we paid R500 for 2 adults and a 4yr old vs other people. Good MTN, no Vodacom. Internet with vouchers, 1gb R100 at the pool site. Lovely little shop on premises.

Decent restaurant , menu del dia etc , space for vehicles and tents but we just ate, owners helpful and friendly as ever

Stayed here for two nights totally alone. Very beautiful view and the trail is great. Some cars, mountain bikers and off reading vehicles would pass through to the road just past the trail head but seriously no issues. Easy to get to off the road. Unpaved the rest of the way but it’s not much farther past the fire station.
