Nice place to stop for the night. One truck spent the night as well. Nice peaceful view to wake up to. Traffic dies down around 10pm.

Great spot! Lots of space ! Bumpy sandy and gravel road but reliable. Kind of a busy spot. Lots of campers make it down. Good swimming and nice views close to lake. There are picnic tables and fire pits. But no toilets of any kind or running water. Looks like some ATV off road trails in beyond the main camp area. Great free camp spot. Would reccomend !

Checked with Staff and they allow RV parking in the lower lot. The lot is patrolled by the sheriff on a regular basis. Very nice restaurant, shop and clean bathrooms in the store. Dry camping, no off hours facilities.

Great overnight spot! We were in a van and were able to choose our spot so we positioned our van to open towards the west with views of the ocean, grazing elk and setting sun. Peepers came out after dark in the nearby ponds so pretty idyllic!
Quiet in the evening on a Sunday, security roamed the lot. There were 3 rigs in all by morning. Enjoyed the salad and soup bar for $17 in the restaurant with west facing windows that have views of the elk herd.
Check in process as previously described by others. Would def recommend especially if you need a break from the dark deep woods camping at the local state parks!

Lovely spot by a lovely man Andrew. Very clean ablutions. About 10 stands, all pretty darn level, with electricity and water and shade.

At the foot of the Swartberg mountains in a beautiful area. Nice hike up to the top of a nearby ridge for great views, about 4km round trip.

9km into Ladismith for supplies and cell reception. We paid R250 per night for two people in a camper.

An absolute gem of a campground! It's nice and cool up here in the mountains. The views are stunning and the garden of the property is gorgeous. We paid the standard 10$ p.P. but after two nights the third night was free. It's a 30 minute (bumpy) ride to Monteverde and the busy tourist areas but here there's absolute peace and silence. The owner is super friendly, we even got coffee in the morning. We can 100% recommend coming here! The dogs are friendly and just want cuddles and there's even two baby cats at the moment.

Only basic services, no hot shower, when we were there.
Last 2 km are dirt road. May be difficult for normal big camper vans.
4x4 not required.
They also rent huts.

Cute VR parking lot in the middle of apple trees, next to its cider brewery. Amazing sunset behind the fields and mountains to be enjoyed with a bottle of local cider

Big gravel parking lot next to a gas station, for all kind of rigs. We filled our tank and the let us park. Water, toilet and showers available but we did not use it

Nice place to stay- this was our fist stop in Albania, comming from Greece. The restauraunt, operated by a very nice swiss couple, has just opend when we visited. As already said, you can park your camper next to the water. If you like, you can take a swim. Definitly recommeded!

Large campground in two main areas with smaller lobes, large sites, firepit (no fireban), picnic table, our site close to “free” firewood, ablutions with hot water (included in rate) and flushing toilets , walks in taller forest and to lakeside. Ablutions floor wet. CAD 36.75, fire permit CAD 10.50.

As previously described. Conveniently situated family run rest camp with camping pitches and chalets. Each pitch has a braai, sink, lights and seating. Communal ablutions (single toilet & shower on each side) with warm water. Very decent restaurant, reasonably priced.

If you ever strand here and you want to kamp. This is the place. Quite forrest near river lots of places. Smells like wild thyme.

Pleasant spot close to the dam. Very clean, with fire rings, tables, and pit toilets.
Direct access to the water, and boat ramp.
The railway on the other side of the river is a it annoying by night.
The trail is gravel, however, they were working with a grader, and it’s accessible to all kind of vehicles.

Quiet, level and legal free parking lot to spend the night. We spoke to the park staff as well as local people at the park and they gave it a thumbs up. The park itself is incredible and absolutely massive. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed with families. Our daughter loved the BMX park, the inflatable human-sized balls, and the hundreds of other kids playing here. The pool was at maximum capacity but we were still able to take warm showers for $1/each in the locker rooms at the pool (only open till 5:30pm on Sunday) without too much convincing of the front gate guy. Not too hot and not too cold in Loja! Now we are off to see if we can get our alignment fixed

good place for tents. night was quite. but at 6-7 am all the ballons landed around us, that was quite loud.

A great place with stunning views to Trinity and the ocean on the other side. Works for smaller vehicles up to 22-23ft. Probably very busy in season and parking lot is very small so you would be an obstacle for visitors. Road to lighthouse is very bumpy

This is a nice place. They opened a room for me for a shower and bathroom. As mentioned the water pressure is very low. Covered areas to sit. A bit buggy with sand flies day/ some mosquitoes at night. Safe.

Only issue was that I was told 15s a night. Stayed one night and had one lunch. Was charged 80s total. I felt taken advantage of in that regard. Would stay again but be sure of the price.
